Assessment of sediment connectivity using modelling and field-based approaches in the Slavíč River catchment(MoravskoslezskéBeskydy Mts,Czech Republic)

Mountain streams act as conveyors of sediments within the river continuum,where the physical transport of sediments between river reaches through the catchment or between individual parts(e.g.,between hillslopes and channels)of the catchment is *** study focused on sediment connectivity analysis in the SlavíčRiver catchment in the MoravskoslezskéBeskydy Mts in the eastern part of the Czech *** connectivity index and connectivity index target modelling were combined with an analysis of anthropogenic ***,field mapping,grain size of bed sediments and stream power analysis were used to obtain information about connectivity in the *** on the analysis and obtained results,terrain topography is the current main driving factor affecting the connectivity of sediment movement in the SlavíčRiver ***,the modelling provided valuable information about high sediment connectivity despite different recent land use conditions(highly forested area of the catchment)than those in historical times from the 16th to 19th centuries when the SlavíčRiver catchment was highly deforested and sediment connectivity was probably *** analysis of anthropogenic interventions,field mapping,grain size of bed sediments and stream power analysis revealed more deceleration of sediment movement through the catchment,decreased sediment connectivity with bed erosion,and gradual river channel process transformation in some *** mapping has identified various natural formations and human-induced changes impacting the longitudinal and lateral connectivity in the Slavíč*** instance,embankments along 48%of the river's length,both on the right and left banks,significantly hinder lateral sediment supply to the *** power index analysis indicates increased energy levels in the flowing water in the river's upper reaches(up to 404.8 W m^(-2)).This high energy is also observed in certain downstream sections(up to 337.6 W

Improved Artificial Potential Field Method for Dynamic Target Path Planning in LBS

To meet the public security and criminal investigation requirement, this paper studies detecting and tracking of human motion through related theories on image processing and pattern recognition. The video information is obtained from video monitoring system (VMS). Background modeling is based on mixture Gaussian model. The background subtraction is used for detecting moving targets, separating the targets from the background and meanwhile eliminating shadows. This method can also accomplish binarization and connectivity analysis of human targets, mark rectangular frame of the human body and extract human targets. Therefore the image region which appeals to the criminal investigation can be acquired. Experimental results show the good performance of the algorithm which lays a solid foundation for further study on target tracking and recognition.

With the development of science and technology, the scope of human activities is becoming more and more broad and less determinative. The expansion of this scope and the uncertainty of purpose provide location-based service(LBS) with unlimited business opportunities. In order to solve the problem of connectivity in the LBS system, an improved artificial potential field method is proposed. Focus on the path planning of dynamic targets in LBS system, an improved artificial potential field method is proposed based on the analysis of connectivity. Firstly, the connectivity of the obstacle is analyzed, and the feasible solution domain is obtained according to the geometric topology;Secondly, the path pre-planning in the feasible solution domain can prevent the traditional artificial potential field method from falling into the local optimal solution and can not jump out. Then the speed factor is added to the potential field function of the traditional artificial potential field method, so that the user can avoid the dynamic obstacle and reach the dynamic target, while setting the maximum turning angle and fine-tuning the generating path so as to obtain a relatively smooth path. Finally, the simulation experiment is carried out. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective in the LBS system. And compared with the simple improvement of the artificial potential field method, the experiments show that the algorithm reduces the path distance and tracking time, and proves the superiority of the proposed algorithm.
