Corynespora leaf spot,caused by the fungus Corynespora cassiicola,has become a great threat that affect the yield of various crops in *** 2016-2019,we isolated five typical Corynespora strains from the disease spots of strawberry leaves in different cities of Henan *** on analysis of their morphological characters and DNA sequences of ITS,TUB and EF-1 a gene regions,all of these isolates were undoubtedly identified as the species Corynespora cassiicola,which was then proved to be the only true pathogen by Koch’s *** on the biological properties of *** showed that PDA medium,25-30℃,pH 6-9,and alternating light and dark（12 h/12 h） are the optimal conditions for its mycelial *** best carbon and nitrogen sources were glucose and potassium nitrate,*** line with its wide host range,this pathogen could at least infect ten different crops while causing varying degrees of ***,preliminary exploration of the infection process of *** revealed that appressorium-like structures could form at the top of germ tubes on strawberry leaves（but not observed on the inner epidermis of onion）,which only distributed away from *** the above research results would provide a theoretical basis for the comprehensive control of Corynespora leaf spot disease of strawberry.

Witches’broom of bamboo caused by Aciculosporium take has become one of the destructive diseases for bamboo forests in *** conidia of *** are mainly transmitted by ***, their development which is important for understanding the disease epidemiology is not very *** our research,witches’ broom-diseased bamboo,Phyllostachys bambusoides ***(Marliac ex Carriere) Makino,was used as the source of conidia to exam the germination and cultural characters of A. *** observation and image acquisition were made by using LEICA DMLB2 microscope with LEICA DFC320 *** observation revealed that naturally formed 3-celled conidia germinated their end cells to produce a kind of cultural type conidia with curled dichotomously branched appendages at the *** the newly formed secondary spores fell off,3-celled conidia repeated the above process continually without formation of *** was no morphological change being observed in middle cell during the process of *** appendaged secondary spore directly formed from the conidia germination underwent the process of microcycle conidiation(MC) by sprouting a germ tube at its basal *** germ tube developed to a secondary spore finally and then fell off to become a brand new microcyclic structure while the mother spore repeated such process *** this way,the secondary spores formed from 3-celled conidia and then proliferated themselves without production of mycelium,and all these procedures were confirmed to have no apparent relationship with temperature and *** colony of *** grew extremely slowly on PDA medium and the development of its morphology appeared closely related to the process of *** first,the colony was milky white with sharp edge and the surface was strongly wrinkled as brain *** observation showed that the wrinkled colony was consisted of appendaged secondary spores *** 30 days later,white mycelia formed on

Protein O-mannosylation is a type of O-glycosylation that is characterized by the addition of mannose residues to target proteins,and is initially catalyzed by evolutionarily conserved protein O-mannosyltransferases（PMTs）.In this study,three members of PMT were identified in Magnaporthe oryzae,and the pathogenic roles of MoPmt2,a member of PMT2 subfamily,were *** found that MoPmt2 is a homolog of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Pmt2 and could complement yeast Pmt2 function in resistance to *** RT-PCR revealed that MoPmt2 is highly expressed during conidiation,and targeted disruption of MoPmt2 resulted in defects in conidiation and conidia *** MoPmt2 mutants also showed a distinct reduction in fungal growth,which was associated with severe alterations in hyphal *** addition,we found that the MoPmt2 mutants severely reduced virulence on both rice plants and barley *** subsequent examination revealed that the fungal adhesion,conidial germination,CWI and invasive hyphae growth in host cells are responsible for defects on appressorium mediated penetration,and thus attenuated the pathogenicity of MoPmtl *** together,our results suggest that protein O-mannosyltransferase MoPmt2 plays essential roles in fungal growth and development,and is required for the full pathogenicity of ***.
