Objective:We present first-phase results of a performing arts public health intervention,‘Singing and Dancing for health,’aiming to promote healthier behaviors in Ghana’s impoverished Northern *** hypothesize that live music and dance drama provide a powerful technology to overcome barriers such as illiteracy,lack of adequate media access,inadequate health resources,and entrenched sociocultural *** research objective is to evaluate this ***:In this first phase,we evaluated the effectiveness of arts interventions in improv-ing knowledge and behaviors associated with reduced incidence of malaria and cholera,focusing on basic information and simple practices,such as proper hand *** with the Youth Home Cultural Group,we codeveloped two‘dance dramas’delivering health messages through di-alog,lyrics,and drama,using music and dance to attract spectators,focus attention,infuse emotion,and socialize *** also designed knowledge,attitude,and behavior surveys as measurement *** purposive sampling,we selected three contrasting test villages in the vicinity,contrasting in size and *** cooperation of chiefs,elders,elected officials,and Gha-na health Service officers,we conducted a baseline survey in each ***,we performed the interventions,and subsequently conducted follow-up *** a more qualitative approach,we also tracked a select subgroup,conducted focus group studies,and collected ***-veys were coded and data were analyzed by Epi ***:Both quantitative and qualitative methods indicated that those who attended the dance drama performances were likelier than those who did not attend to list the causal,preven-tive,and transmission factors of malaria and ***,the same attendees were likelier than nonattendees to list some activities they do to prevent malaria,cholera,and other sanitation-related diseases,proving that dance dramas were highly effective both in raisi

In order to assure a real-time medical care for the elders who live alone or have a chronic disease and also to improve the responsiveness and quality of the community hospital, a community health service architecture was designed according to the Internet of Things on health-Care. The users' body physiological and sports information can be collected intelligently by the health sensors at home and then the health information can be transmitted to the community health-care center through networks after information processing. The community doctors can provide a medical service on kinds of video, voice or email according to the users' process notes, test data and symptoms. Of course, doctors also can communicate and share their opinions with other specialist who is online. The key technology of this system is Internet of Things on health-Care, which system can get users' health information actively and then make out intelligent decisions promptly and finally provide a more personal health service.

Aim: This paper aims to evaluate disparities of type 2 diabetes structured health education programmes that is utilised within the communities. Design: systematic review, (a type of secondary research design) aiming to summarize the results of prior primary research studies on available evidence community type 2 diabetes structured education (CT2DSHE). Methods: Research question: Type 2 diabetic structured health education within a community how effective is it? Qualitative Systematic review, defined as a way to get reliable and objective picture of current available evidence on the specific topic—(CT2DSHE), (Denscombe, 2021) through reflexivity synthesis of available data as an example. This is valuable in time constraints such as project assignments that must be met within specific time and also to bring together available evidence together [1]. Results: This review has shown that CT2DSHE is effective with seven out of the eleven authors supporting, three authors against and one was neutral, further showed that knowledge and skills acquired can last longer with patient activation improved among T2DM patients ideal for sustaining their self-management of T2DM. Conclusion: This research provides suggestive answers to the research question: “Type 2 diabetic structured health education within a community how effective is it?”, This has demonstrated CT2DSHE effectiveness in knowledge acquisition and improving T2DM awareness among T2DM patients, whilst evidencing long effects beyond the study times of 3 - 9 months period in relation to patient activation. Partenariat Santé (PS) launched in Québec in 2016, is inspired from the Cardiovascular health Awareness Program (CHAP) and consists of a free session held in the community by students coming from different health sciences programs. The program’s mission is to make available early detection of modifiable CVD risk factors, raise awareness of participants about their impact on CVDs, and promote healthy life changes. In order to gather information to optimize the implementation of this program and eventually to enlarge its implementation to other sites, the first objective of this study was to explore the characteristics of the adult population participating in the PS program and to identify the risk factors they want to modify. The second objective was to evaluate one month later the effective implementation of the action plan elaborated during the motivational interview. The third objective was to evaluate the satisfaction of the participants with the PS program. One hundred ten subjects who attended PS sessions during this period were enrolled in the study. About 30% of participants have blood pressure values ≥ 140/90 mmHg and 40% present a waist circumference associated with higher risk profile. The behaviors to be changed mostly targeted by the participants were physical inactivity and nutrition. A motivational interview was conducted with the elaboration of an action plan to support the behavioral/outcomes changes. Sixty participants (54.5%) completed the questionnaire in the one-month follow-up. Forty-one (68.3%) participants revealed that they had put their action plans into practice, while 63.3% claimed that they mostly reached their objectives. Motivation remains high after one month for participants who put their action plans in place (7.8 ± 1.9 versus 7.4 ± 1.6;p = 0.214), whereas it decreased significantly for those who did not (6.8 ± 2.1 versus 5.8 ± 2.0;p = 0.029). Ten year risk assessment of ischemic cardiovascular disease and intervention analysis among middle-aged residents with moderate risk and above in a Shanghai-based community

Objective: The exposure conditions with regard to 10-year ischemic cardiovascular disease (ICVD) risk among residents aged 45-59 years treated in Hudong community health Service Center were surveyed to provide an objective basis for further studies on the relation between risk factors and ICVD events. Methods: The survey was conducted from October 2013 to March 2014 with use of the princi-ple of cluster sampling. Our investigation involved questionnaire and laboratory tests. All residents were evaluated according to the table of National 10-Year Risk Assessment for ICVD to forecast the 10-year risk. The community intervention methods were medication and lifestyle intervention based on the relevant guidelines. Results: The body mass index and smoking rate were significantly higher in men than in women. The 10-year ICVD risk was 6.1% for moderate risk or above. We performed intervention in such residents for 1 year, with the result that the blood pressure and total cholesterol levels were significantly decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion: It is imperative that early prediction and intervention be conducted for the resi-dents with risk factors. After the intervention, we found that the risk declined in 79.41% of the residents with moderate risk and or above and that the 10-year ICVD risk score decreased.

Background:Lymphatic filariasis(LF)#a neglected tropical disease(NTD)and leading cause of global disability,is endemic in 32 countries in Africa with almost 350 million people requiring regular drug administration,and only 16 countries achieving target *** Drug Distributors(CDDs)are critical for the success of NTD programs,and the distribution of medicines during mass drug administration(MDA)in Africa;however they could also be a weak *** primary aim of this study is to explore and describe perceptions of CDDs during MDA for LF in Mvita sub-county in Mombasa county and Kaloleni sub-county in Kilifi county,Kenya;and provide recommendations for the effective engagement of communities and CDDs in low-resource ***:In September 2018,we conducted six focus group discussions with community members in each sub-county,three with men aged 18-30,31-50,and 51 years and above and three with women stratified into the same age *** each sub-county,we also conducted semi-struaured interviews with nine community health extension workers(CHEWs),the national LF focal point,the county NTD focal points,and seven community *** analysis of the data was conducted,involving a process of reading,coding,and displaying data in order to develop a ***:We found that several barriers and facilitators impact the engagement between CDDs and community members during *** barriers include poor communication and trust between CDDs and communities;community distrust of the federal government;low community knowledge and perceived risk of LF,poor timing of MDA,fragmented supervision of CDDs during MDA;and CDD bias when distributing *** also found that CDD motivation was a critical factor in their ability to successfully meet MDA *** was acknowledged that directly observed treatment and adequate health education were often not executed by *** involvement of community leaders as informal supervisors of CDDs and communit

Screening is not universally beneficial due to over-and under-diagnosis,and false positives that beget additionaltesting and associated adverse events and *** examined data from all men who participated in a mass community prostate cancer screening between May 2009 and September *** data contained information regarding patient demographics,family history of prostate cancer,lower urinary tract symptoms,prior history of prostate cancer,most recent digital rectal examination,and the presence of an established relationship with a *** American Urological Association screening recommendations were then applied to determine the appropriateness of our outreach effort.A total of 438 men(mean age 66.5 years) underwent screening.A total of 106(24.2%) patients in our study met contemporary criteria for *** these men,the vast majority was well educated,well insured,and well informed about the need for prostate cancer *** on these data,mass community-based prostate cancer screening does not appear to identify and screen at-risk *** efforts at mass screening should more carefully target men most likely to benefit.
