The existence of linear free energy relationships (LFER) between the stability of complexcompounds and the acidity or basicity of the ligands has been widely reported in the *** are now reporting the discovery of another type of LFER in coordination chemistry,namely, the existence of LFER between the kinetic rate constants and the thermodynamicequllibrium constants which is of the Bronsted acid base catalysis type LFER, A Union Giken model RA-401 stopped-flow spectrophotometer equipped with tempera-ture jump attachment has been used to determine the rate constants for the formation anddissociation of the mixed complexes Cu(Ⅱ)-2,2'-bipyridyl-α-aminoacids in accordance withthe following reactions:
