BACKGROUND Chemotherapy for malignant tumors can cause brain changes and cognitive impairment,leading to chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment(CICI).Current research on CICI has focused on breast cancer and Hodgkin’s *** patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma(NHL)undergoing chemo-therapy have cognitive impairment has not been fully *** have cognitive impairment has not been fully *** To investigate whether NHL patients undergoing chemotherapy had cognitive *** The study included 100 NHL patients who were required to complete a compre-hensive psychological scale including the Brief Psychiatric Examination Scale(MMSE)at two time points:before chemotherapy and within 2 wk of two chemo-therapy courses.A language proficiency test(VFT),Symbol Number Pattern Test(SDMT),Clock Drawing Test(CDT),Abbreviated Daily Cognition Scale(ECog-12),Prospective and Retrospective Memory Questionnaire,and Karnofsky Perfor-mance Status were used to assess cognitive changes before and after *** The VFT scores for before treatment(BT)and after treatment(AT)groups were 45.20±15.62,and 42.30±17.53,respectively(t-2.16,P<0.05).The CDT scores were 8(3.5-9.25)for BT and 7(2.5-9)for AT groups(Z-2.1,P<0.05).Retrospective memory scores were 13.5(9-17)for BT and 15(13-18)for AT(Z-3.7,P<0.01).The prospective memory scores were 12.63±3.61 for BT and 14.43±4.32 for AT groups(t-4.97,P<0.01).The ECog-12 scores were 1.71(1.25-2.08)for BT and 1.79(1.42-2.08)for AT groups(Z-2.84,P<0.01).The SDMT and MMSE values did not show a significant difference between BT and AT *** Compared to the AT group,the BT group showed impaired language,memory,and subjective cognition,but objec-tive cognition and execution were not significantly affected.

clinical study of Tianji Robotic-Assisted Surgery for Upper Cervical Spine Fractures

Object: To compare the safety, clinical efficacy, and complication rate of “Tianji” robot-assisted surgery with traditional open surgery in the treatment of cervical vertebrae fracture. Methods: 60 patients with upper cervical vertebrae fracture admitted to Baise People’s Hospital between November 2018 and April 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. Among these patients, 29 underwent “Tianji” robot-assisted surgery (Robot group), and 31 underwent traditional C-arm fluoroscopy-assisted open surgery (Open group). Statistical analysis of the data was performed using SPSS 27.0 software to compare general data (gender, age, BMI), preoperative and postoperative visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, neck disability index (NDI), intraoperative blood loss, accuracy of screw placement on imaging, and the number of complications in both groups for comprehensive evaluation. A P value < 0.05 was deemed to have achieved statistical significance. Results: There was no significant difference in preoperative VAS scores between the two groups (Robot group: 8.34 ± 0.61;Open group: 8.26 ± 0.68, P = 0.317). There was also no significant difference in VAS scores at 1 week postoperatively (Robot group: 6.90 ± 0.31;Open group: 6.94 ± 0.36, P = 0.3237). Preoperative NDI scores showed no significant difference between the two groups (Robot group: 43.31 ± 2.67;Open group: 43.84 ± 2.67, P = 0.2227), and the difference in NDI scores at 1 week postoperatively was also not significant (Robot group: 35.69 ± 4.24;Open group: 37.35 ± 3.48, P = 0.0509). Intraoperative blood loss in the Robot group was significantly lower than in the Open group (246.21 ± 209 ml vs 380.65 ± 328.04 ml, P = 0.0308), with a statistically significant difference. The operation time was longer in the Robot group (3.75 ± 0.74 h) compared to the Open group (2.74 ± 0.86 h). clinical study of ultrasound and microbubbles for enhancing chemotherapeutic sensitivity of malignant tumors in digestive system

Objective： To explore the safety of ultrasound and microbubbles for enhancing the chemotherapeutic sensitivity of malignant tumors in the digestive system in a clinical trial, as well as its ***： From October 2014 to June 2016, twelve patients volunteered to participate in this study. Eleven patients had hepatic metastases from tumors of the digestive system, and one patient had pancreatic carcinoma. According to the mechanical index （MI） in the ultrasound field, patients were classified into four groups with MIs of 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0. Within half an hour after chemotherapy, patients underwent ultrasound scanning with ultrasound microbubbles （SonoVue） to enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy. All adverse reactions were recorded and were classified in 4 grades according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events version 4.03 （CTCAE V4.03）. Tumor responses were evaluated by the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1 criteria. All the patients were followed up until ***： All the adverse reactions recorded were level 1 or level 2. No local pain occurred in any of the patients. Among all the adverse reactions, fever might be related to the treatment with ultrasound combined with microbubbles. Six patients had stable disease （SD）, and one patient had a partial response （PR） after the first cycle of treatment. At the end of follow-up, tumor progression was restricted to the original sites, and no new lesions had ***： Our preliminary data showed the potential role of a combined treatment with ultrasound and microbubbles in enhancing the chemotherapeutic sensitivity of malignant tumors of the digestive system. This technique is safe when the MI is no greater than 1.0.

clinical study on the Anti-Aging Effect of a Cream Containing Ginseng Root Extract and L-Carnosine

The anti-aging effects of a cream containing L-carnosine and ginseng root extract to provide a reference for the evaluation and development of anti-aging cosmetics were tested. Sixty healthy females, aged 35-60,were grouped into test sample and placebo groups. Skin elasticity, gloss, and wrinkles of the participants were analyzed before use and after use for 8 weeks. Instrument measurement results showed that after 8 weeks,skin elasticity, gloss, and wrinkles in the members of the test sample group obviously improved relative to those of the placebo group. clinical effect assessment results showed that subjects did not experience adverse skin reactions, and their skin gloss showed obvious improvement. Self-assessment results showed that 87%subjects are satisfied with the test sample. Cream containing L-carnosine and ginseng root extract has a certain anti-aging effect.

clinical study on Effect of Xiaoyao Nose Drops (逍遥滴鼻液) in Stopping Episode of Migraine

Objective： To observe the effect of Xiaoyao Nose Drops （逍遥滴鼻液 , XYND） in stopping episode of migraine. Methods： Adopted was the randomized double-blinded placebo-controled method, with the 126 patients equally assigned to two groups, the treated group treated with XYND and the control group with placebo, and the therapeutic course was 30 days for all. The clinical total effective rate and effect in al- leviating headache were observed. And hemorrheological parameters as well as the blood flow of the anterior cerebral artery （ACA）, median cerebral artery （MCA） and posterior cerebral artery （PCA） were measured before and after treatment. Results： The clinical total effective rate and headache alleviating rate in the treated group were 93.33% and 96.67% respectively, while those in the control group were 18.33% and 20.00 % respectively, and comparison between the two groups showed significant difference （all P〈0.01）. The blood viscosity （high, middle and low shear）, plasma viscosity and fibrinogen got lowered significantly in the treated group after treatment, showing significant difference in comparison either with those before treatment or with those in the control group after treatment （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. The velocity of blood flow in all cerebral arteries lowered significantly, also showing significant difference in comparison either with those before treatment or with those in the control group after treatment （ P 〈 0.05 or P 〈 0.01 ）. Conclusion： XYND is effective in stopping the headache of patients with migraine, and worth applying in clinical practice.

clinical study of Sudden Desfness Treated with IntegratedTraditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Objective: To explore the mechanisms of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine (TCM-WM) in treating sudden deafness. Methods: One hundred and forty-six patients suffered from sudden deafness were divided into two groups, 64 cases in the treated group were treated with TCM-WM therapy and the other 82 cases treated with western medicine alone for control. Results: The total effective rate of the treated group was 92. 19 %, that of the control group was 75. 61 %. The difference between the two groups was significant, P < 0. 01. Conclusion: The TCM-WM therapy is very effective in treating sudden deafness. Its mechanism might be: (1) Decrease of the blood viscosity and increase of the red blood cell's tenacity, so that the blood stream could pass through unimpededly. (2) Decrease of the plasma TXA2 level and increase of the PGI2 level,to benefit the blood supply for inner ear. (3) Increase of the activity of SOD and clearing away the free radicals so as to reduce the damage to the inner ear.

Objective: To assess the platelet activation in patients with unstable angina (UA) and to seek the clinical efficacy of Xiefuzhuyu concentrated pill (XCP) on anti-platelets activation in UA patients. Methods: 45 UA patients (aged 66.4±5.6 years) were observed and treated with XCP in the UA patients, whole blood of CD62p and CD41/45 expression on Platelet surface in UA patients were measured by flow cytometry as well as specific monoclonal antibodys. Results: The expressions of CD62p and CD41/45 increased significantly in the UA patients, at the same time, there being increasing rates of platelets aggregation and adhesiveness in the same UA subjects . After effectively treated with XCP, the CD62p expression decreased evidently from 24.22±7.92 to 21.42 ±8.01 (P0.05) . Conclusions: There is elevated platelet activation in UA Patients. The effects of Xieguantong Pill on restraining activated platelets shows a good clinical efficacy. It was guessed that the XCP to inhibit the expression of CD62P and CD41/45 may be it is one of the mechanisms in promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Pai-Neng-Da Capsule(panaxadiol saponins component,PNDC)in combination with the cyclosporine and androgen for patients with chronic aplastic anemia(CAA).Methods:A total of 79 CAA patients was randomly divided into 2 groups by a random number table,including PCA group[43 cases,orally PNDC 320 mg/d plus cyclosporine 5 mg/(kg·d)plus andriol 80 mg/d]and CA group[36 cases,orally cyclosporine 5 mg/(kg·d)plus andriol 160 mg/d].All patients were treated and followed-up for 6 treatment courses over 24 *** complete blood counts,score of Chinese medical(CM)symptoms were assessed and urine routine,electrocardiogram,hepatic and renal function were observed for safety *** masculinization rating scale was established according to the actual clinical manifestations to evaluate the accurate degree of masculinization in female CAA patients treated by ***:The effective rates were 88.1%(37/42)in the PCA group and 77.8%(28/36)in the CA group based on the standard for the therapeutic efficacy evaluation of *** was no significant difference in the white blood cell(WBC)counts,platelet counts and hemoglobin concentration of peripheral blood between two groups after 6 months *** masculinization score of female patient in the PCA group was significantly lower than the CA group(Pclinical Trial Registry(ChicTR1900028153)].

Chemotherapy of cerebral gliomas directed by the chemosensitivity test in vitro: a clinical study

Objective： To evaluate correlation between chemosensitivity of tumor cells in vitro and their clinical responsiveness in vivo by comparing the difference of curative effect between chemotherapy of cerebral gliomas directed by chemosensitivity test in vitro and its routine chemotherapy. Methods： Sixty-two patients with cerebral gliomas were recruited as the experiment group, who had received total resection or subtotal resection of the tumor. The resected tumor cells were cultured in vitro, followed by chemosensitivity test using colorimetric MTT assay. Finally, chemotherapeutic protocol was made based on the results of the chemosensitivity test. Fifty patients with cerebral gliomas subjected to the routine chemotherapeutic protocol were simultaneously recruited as the control group, whose age, gender, survival functional status and operational fashion were matched with the experiment group. The two groups were equally followed up for the survival functional status, recurrence and death. All data were analyzed using SPSS 10.0 software. Results： At the time of evaluation, KPS values of 64.52 ± 35.84 were seen in the experiment group, and 33.60 ± 36.24 in the control group, showing statistical difference between the two groups （t = 4.5163, P = 0.000）. During 2-4 years of follow up, a recurrence rate of 32.26% was seen in the experimental group, and 60.00% in the control group, showing a statistical difference between the two groups （X^2 = 8.620, P = 0.003）. The fatality was 22.58% in the experiment group, and 48.00% in the control group, showing a statistical difference between the two groups （X^2 = 7.978, P = 0.005）. The survival rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, showing a statistical differences between the two groups （X^2= 7.29, P = 0.0069）.
