The paper tries to explore circular economy from the viewpoint of the system theory. circular economy is a kind of complicated economic activity, and it is a wholly new ecotype economy proposed by Western countries after they had summed up many experiences and lessons from traditional economy. It is an entirety and has many layers. It keeps an open and dynamic balance. Because the system theory is the theoretical foundation of circular economy, we should systemically analyze and study circular economy from the macroscopic view, correctly grasp its operational laws, improve its service functions, and realize human beings' sustainable development. The paper introduces the content and general characteristics of the system theory and the idea of circular economy. Then it analyzes circular economy based on the system theory. The paper concludes that the integration of circular economy and the system theory can promote the functions of circular economy.

Driven by increasing global population and by growing demand for individual wealth, the consumption of energy and raw materials as well as the steadily growing CO2 concentration in atmosphere pose great challenges to process engineering. This complex multi-scale discipline deals with the transformation of mass by energy to manifold products in different industrial fields under economical and ecological sus- tainable conditions. In growing circular economy, process engineering increasingly plays an important role in recovering valuable components from very diffuse material flows leaving the user stocks following widely variable time periods of use. As well it is engaged in thermal recovery of energy therefrom and in environmentally safe disposal of residual solid wastes whose recovery economically is not feasible. An efficient recovery of materials and energy following the laws of entropy is a must. A complex network of mass, energy, transportation and information flows has to be regarded with growing traded quantities of used goods even on global level. Important constraints in time, however, exist for a necessary realization of innovative new processes and communal mobility and industrial infrastructure on medium and large scale. Based on reasonable long term and highly reliable statistics from industrial organizations repre- senting steel and paper industry, some limits and trends of possible developments in processing of those industries with long recycling experience will be discussed.

The sustainable production of green hydrogen via water electrolysis necessitates cost-effective *** following the circular economy principle,the utilization of waste-derived catalysts significantly promotes the sustainable development of green hydrogen ***,diverse waste-derived catalysts have exhibited excellent catalytic performance toward hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and overall water electrolysis(OWE).Herein,we systematically examine recent achievements in waste-derived electrocatalysts for water *** general principles of water electrolysis and design principles of efficient electrocatalysts are discussed,followed by the illustration of current strategies for transforming wastes into ***,applications of waste-derived catalysts(i.e.,carbon-based catalysts,transitional metal-based catalysts,and carbon-based heterostructure catalysts)in HER,OER,and OWE are reviewed *** emphasis is put on correlating the catalysts’structure-performance ***,challenges and research directions in this booming field are finally *** review would provide useful insights into the design,synthesis,and applications of waste-derived electrocatalysts,and thus accelerate the development of the circular economy-driven green hydrogen energy scheme.

This paper investigates the effect of the circular economy on CO_(2)emissions growth by considering the role of energy transition,climate policy stringency,industrialization,and supply chain pressure from 1997 to 2020 using panel quantile Autoregressive Distributed Lags(QARDL)and the panel *** employ cointegration association in the long run among the variables,and the results of the two models confirm *** reveal that circular economy and climate policy stringency significantly negatively impact carbon *** the other hand,the energy transition,industrialization,and supply chain pressures are crucial to determining CO_(2)emissions in the short and long *** finding further explores that municipal waste generation recycling is considerable at the mean and upper 90th quantiles than the lower ***,the empirical results of the current study provide acumens for policymakers of advanced economies and emerging markets to maintain the balance among circular economy,energy transition,environmental policy stringency,and supply chain pressure for reducing CO_(2)emissions without halting economic growth and sustainable ***,practical implications are reported through the lens of carbon neutrality and structural changes.

circular economy enables to restore product value at the end of life *** no longer used or ***,the product life cycle is extended and this economy permits to reduce waste increase and resources *** are several revaluation options(reuse,remanufacturing,recycling,...).So,decisionmakers need to assess these options to determine which is the best ***,we will present a study about an End-Of-Life(EoL)decision making which aims to facilitate the industrialization of circular *** this,it is essential to consider all variables and parameters impacting the decision of the product trajectory.A first part of the work proposes to identify the variables and parameters impacting the decision making.A second part proposes an assessment approach based on a modeling by Generalized Colored Stochastic Petri Net(GCSPN)and on a Monte-Carlo *** approach developed is tested on an industrial example from the literature to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of the *** first application showed the feasibility of the approach,and also the limits of the GCSPN modelling.

During the production of palm oil,a significant amount of waste is ***,because of inefficient handling and utilization,these wastes are becoming a larger *** a result,one initiative is to use these wastes in the pavement industry as sustainable ***,there is still a lack of understanding about the wider incorporation of palm oil waste in asphalt pavement and its *** study examines existing literature on the use of various wastes in the pavement industry,including palm oil clinker(POC),palm oil fibre(POF),palm kernel shell(PKS),and palm oil fuel ash(POFA).As a result,this paper presents a systematic review and scientometric investigation of related study publications on many uses of palm oil waste in the asphalt pavement industry and its performance from 2009 to *** VOS viewer application was used to conduct the sciento-metric study *** relationship between interactions detected in co-authored country studies cited sources of co-citation,and the keyword of the co-occurrence and publication source enabled the identification of the research *** to the systematic literature review,40%–60% POC can be used to fine aggregate for optimal performance,while 0–100%PKS can be used to replace coarse *** addition,50%–80% POFA or POC fine(POCF)can be used as a filler replacement,5%–8% POCF or POFA as a bitumen modifier,and 0.3% POF as a stabilizing ***,the study demonstrates that the safety of utilizing wastes with more than 50% CO_(2) emissions can be curtailed with minimal heavy metal leaching and radioactivity *** scientometric analysis may encourage researchers to seek out gaps in the literature that will aid in the long-term,multifaceted use of palm oil wastes in the asphalt pavement ***,the study recommends employing and researching the enormous potential of using palm oil waste in the pavement sectors because they are more sustainable and have better perfor
