A brief analysis of the classical poetry chinese-english translation： From the perspective of ＂Beauty in three aspects＂

With the growing of mutual communication between different cultures, the translation of classical chinese poetry becomes quite significant in the contemporary times. This paper first briefly introduces classical chinese poetry, major classical chinese poetry translation schools and their representatives, and professor XU Yuan-zhong＇s famous principle of ＂Beauty in three aspects＂. In order to help disseminate this part of chinese culture through discussing how the reader of the translation may be inspired, moved and aesthetically entertained in the same way as one reads the original, this paper will analyze the classical poetry chinese-english translation from the perspective of ＂Beauty in three aspects＂, namely, in three parts--beauty in meaning, beauty in sound and beauty in form. Thus, it serves the purpose to offer a relatively comprehensive view of the classical poetry chinese-english translation.

In the teaching of chinese-english（C-E） translation, the cultivation of students＇ awareness of context is very important. As far as word-rendering in C-E translation is concerned, contextual analysis can help student solve such problems as the precise comprehension of the SL（source language） words, the translation of vague words and polysemous words, the conveyance of implicature and non-correspondence of word meaning.

With more attentions being paid to the research of the chinese-english translation of public signs,errors and mistakes can be frequently observed in some places and occasions due to different cultural backgrounds as well as diversified function of public *** that reason,the author venture to analyses the problems existing in chinese-english translation of public signs on the level of linguistic and culture such as spelling errors,harsh tones and so *** the author offer some strategies and principles of translation based on the communicative translation method and as well as the quality of translators perspectives,including the methods of functional priority,of utilization of Pin Yin and so on,hoping to optimize the quality of the public signs translation so as to publicize China and promote the image of China and arose the attention and awareness of the translators.

On the Cultural Untranslatability in chinese-english Literary translation

In order to facilitate the international sharing of medical information and research findings,medical papers and some other scientific research papersare required to have english abstracts and *** author analyzed the english translation of 248 articles in chinese Medical Series Journals and found that there were some *** paper enumerated the common defects in chinese-english translation of abstracts of medical papers,and summarized the strategies on translating abstracts of medical papers according to the present situation of chinese-english translation of abstracts of medical papers.

The paper is intended to study the cultural untranslatability in chinese-english literary translation and its compensation with a view to find some practical strategies in translation when untranslatabiltiy occurs. Based on Eugene A. Nida’s classification of language culture, the author analyzes causes of cultural untranslatability in terms of ecological culture, material culture, social culture, religious culture, and linguistic culture through specific examples. As the cultural untranslatability is conditioned, variable, and dynamic, some translation strategies are proposed for tranferring untranslatability to translatability.

translation involves not only formal transformation of two languages concerned, but also conversion of thought patterns. The oriental thought pattern is considered ＂concrete＂, ＂man-centered＂, and ＂ordinal＂; while the western one is believed to be ＂abstract＂, ＂object-centered＂, and ＂conversed＂. These are the decisive factors for the existence of the differences in language expressing. It is of great importance to study these differences and make some adjustments in terms of syntactic structure, semantic focus, and time order so as to achieve a natural rending.

At present,as chinese scholars pay more attention to translation studies of international promotion,the number of relevant research is ***,most of it is confined to the analysis and categorization of explicit translation errors in the target text(TT),failing to examine or enhance the audience’s acceptability of the ***,studies available now seldom furnish empirical information about native speakers’ observation,thereby lacking in credibility to their suggestions on *** study differs from the previous ones in its integration of qualitative analysis and empirical research(personal interviews),which aims to confirm the findings and provide insight for other analogous *** takes a 2018 international promotional video on the theme of "beautiful new Hainan" as a case for translation studies of international *** from probing into Huang’s works and the relevant literature,this study also combines with personal translation practice and experience to analyze the TT of the chosen promotional ***,information derived from native speakers’ feedback is utilized to polish the source text(ST).Hopefully,this research could inspire the future ones and promote the development of China’s translation studies.
