This study aimed to investigate the link between the exposure to intimate partner violence(IPV),core self-evaluations(CSE),and psychological adaptation of chinese adolescents,through analysis of the results from the Survey of Children’s Exposure to Domestic Violence Scale,Core Self-Evaluations Scale,and Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire,involving a total of 597 chinese middle school *** is indicated that the exposure to IPV is positively correlated with lower levels of psychological adaptation and CSE,and CSE is positively correlated with higher levels of psychological *** analysis revealed that CSE partially mediated the association between the exposure to IPV and psychological *** results suggest that educators and parents should help adolescents tackle their emotional and behavioral problems by reducing the risk of IPV exposure and increasing their CSE.

This study aims to investigate the impacts of parental relationships,gender,and grade differences on depressive disorder among chinese adolescents over a time period of nearly 20 *** first survey took place in 1999 and involved 852 stu-dents;subsequent follow-up surveys took place in 2006,2009 and 2016,with 3345 students involved in *** disorder was measured by SCL-90-R(Chi-nese version).The surveys also collected social-demographic information about the *** indicators of parental relationships were examined-parental quarrels,parental disharmony and parental *** results show that gender was significantly associated with adolescents’depressive disorder and that there was a higher prevalence of depressive disorder among senior middle school students than among junior middle school students,except in *** parental rela-tionships were associated with high risks of depressive *** and 95%CI were adjusted for the survey years(1999,2006,2009,2016),school grades(junior or senior middle school students),gender(girls/boys),parental quarrels(yes/no),parental disharmony(yes/no),and parental divorce(yes/no).Logistic regres-sion indicated that parental divorce and gender were the two strongest predictors of the presence of depressive *** summary,there was a higher prevalence of depressive disorder among girls and senior middle school *** are vulnerable to depressive disorder in cases of parental ***,good parental relationships may be considered an important and necessary factor that affects the susceptibility of chinese adolescents to depressive disorder.

Objective To investigate the sleep quality status and its associated factors among chinese mainland *** 10 schools including junior schools,senior schools and universities of Hefei(the capital of Anhui Province in China) were randomly selected.A cross-sectional study was implemented to the 5 226 students of the selected schools to investigate the adolescents’ sleep quality,self -rated health,psychological status and demographic *** There were significant sleep quality differences between different groups of grade level,residence,family type,self-report personality, self-report examination scores,self-rated health,depression,loneliness and anxiety according to the results of the univariate analysis(Padolescents’ high rate of poor sleep may be attributed to many causes especially the psychological *** interventions which focus more on the inner causes may be the better steps to make adolescents healthy.

To develop the initial sandplay picture system for chinese young internet addicts (ISPSCYIA) for the diagnosis and testing studies on internet addiction, 22 pictures were selected from the used pictures of initial sandplay in existing research results of initial sandplay of chinese young Internet addicts. 54 normal adolescents were recruited to evaluate the valence of the pictures on a nine-point scale in terms of clarity, pleasure and arousal. Results were shown that there were no significant differences between addiction pictures and non-addiction pictures in clarity, while there were significant differences in pleasure and arousal, as the scores of non-addiction pictures were higher. Correlation analysis indicated that there was obvious positive correlation among clarity, pleasure and arousal of addiction pictures & non-addiction pictures. The coefficients of internal consistency reliability and split-half reliability of 22 pictures’ scores exhibited both over 0.90. ISPSCYIA has proved typical and distinctive through valence assessment, which could be preliminarily applied to measure the characteristics of chinese adolescents’ internet addiction.

The development of positive psychology lead to a dual-factor approach in combining subjective well-being(SWB)and psychopathology for a more comprehensive understanding of mental *** capital(PsyCap)and teaching behaviors(TB)are focus of latest research as to their impact on adolescents'mental health *** our cross-sectional study we investigated 760 chinese middle school students from grades 7 and 8 on self-report scales as to their spread on four mental health groups in a dual-factor model(complete mental health,vulnerable,symptomatic but content,and troubled).The four groups differed significantly in PsyCap,as well as in instructional(IB),socio-emotional(SEB),and organizational behavior(OB).As predictors PsyCap,followed by the two subscales of positive teaching IB and OB respectively,showed the strongest prediction on the outcome variables SWB and *** significantly moderated the relationship of negative teaching and psychopathology,in particular externalizing *** another main finding,PsyCap proved to be a partial mediator between positive teaching and psychopathology,and totally mediated the relationship of positive teaching and *** mediating effect was found for negative *** implications relate to education and intervention approaches for facilitating adolescents'mental health,screening programs,and resource management.
