Nitrogen(N) fertilizer is required for high productivity of wheat(Triticum aestivum).N-deficiency can reduce leaf chlorophyll content and grain yields of *** this study,we observed the wheat line 178 A had higher leaf N concentration and chlorophyll content than the wheat line 178 B under bw N conditions during whole life.178 A also showed bnger leaf greenness persistence than 178 B during grain *** results indicate that 178 A has improved N uptake and utilizatbn ability than 178 *** map genetic bci controlling leaf color and greenness persistence duration(GPD),we evaluated 480 recombinant inbred lines(RILs) derived from 178 A and 178 B under bwand high-N conditbns in two growing *** genotyping the RIL populatbn by using 90 K SNP chip,we constructed a genetic map that contained 1127 *** major quantitative trait locus(QTLs) for leaf chlorophyll content at flowering stage under low-N conditions and three QTLs for GPD were *** major locus for leaf chlorophyll content on chromosome 1 A also has pleiotropic effects on *** most significant locus for GPD,qGPD-6 A,bcates in a 1 cM interval,which corresponds to a 1 Mb region on the physical map of chromosome 6 *** regbn confers a NAC transcript factor NAM-A1,a homologous allele of NAM-B1 controlling leaf senescence and grain protein *** DNA and cDNA sequence cbning reveal that NAM-A1 in178 A has a 1-bp substitutbn causing missense variatbn and a 1-bp frame-shift deletbn leading premature stop of coding sequence compared to that of 178 *** variation in CDS probably cause change of transcriptional activation activity of *** downstream genes of NAM-A1 are under *** genes for these major QTLs still need further identificatbn.
