The effect of salt solutions(NaCl,NaSO and CaCl)on the conformational properties of partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM)was investigated by using static laser light scattering(SLLS).The special interaction between CaCl solution and HPAM was also *** results show that the chain structure of HPAM is interrelated with the charge density,the kind and the concentration of salt *** mean-square radius of gyration(Rz)and the second virial coefficient(A) of HPAM decrease with increasing concentration of salt solutions,and the salt effect tends towards the maximum when the concentration of salt solution is increased to some amount.

A new one-dimensional(1D)chain antiferromagnet Co(ox)(bib)·H_(2)O 1(ox=oxalate;bib=1,4-bis(imidazole-1-yl)benzene)has been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal condition and characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography,powder X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetric analysis,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,magnetic susceptibility,and heat capacity *** CoII ion is connected by oxalate ions in trans-configuration to form 1D CoII–ox–CoII spin chains,which are further separated by the long organic molecule *** magnetic susceptibility curve shows that 1 exhibits a feature of broad maximum around 29 K,indicating strong antiferromagnetic interactions with short spin–spin correlations along the spin ***,no long-range order is observed due to the negligible interchain interactions through bib ligand and weak hydrogen bonds,which is further confirmed by the heat capacity *** intrachain interaction J of−8.4 K is *** magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity results indicate that 1 exhibits a good 1D magnetism.

The structures and properties of benzoxazines were investigated by virtue of molecular modeling at a molecular level. By means of Cerius software(version 4.0) supplied by Molecular Simulations Inc., the molecular mechanics and the molecular dynamics were performed under a PCFF force field. Five kinds of the polymeric chains of benzoxazines were created by using polymer builder and energy minimization. The relaxation process was conducted with both energy minimization and molecular dynamics.

A new one-dimensional（ID） fluoroaluminophosphate chain（C4H15N3）[AlPO4F2]（denoted AIPO-CJ28） was synthesized in the concentrated fluoride synthetic medium with a gel composition of 1.0Al（OPr^1）a：1.0H3PO4： 5.4DETA：1.3HF：2.0H2O（DETA=diethylenetriamine）. The reagents were mixed directly without introducing additional water solvent. The 1D chain is constructed by alternating AlO2F2 arid doubly bridging PO4 tetrahedra to form the simplest serrate chain. AIPO-CJ28 can be transformed to another 1D aluminophosphate chain A1PO-CSC upon further crystallization at 230 ℃.

Triggered by environmental concerns and the rising demands for metal-free polymers in e.g. bio-related and microelectronic applications, studies on organocatalytic polymerization have been launched and developed unprecedentedly during the last 15 years. A wide range of organic molecules are now available in polymer chemists＇ toolbox to choose from as catalysts for polymerization of （hetero）cyclic and polar vinyl monomers. Apart from the intrinsic merits such as lower toxicity and better solubility compared with （transition） metal catalysts/initiators, organocatalysts have also shown, in many cases, excellence to achieve high polymerization rates and/or good control （selectivity）. In addition, particular natures and catalytic/activating mechanisms of organocatalysts have led to new opportunities for rational design and efficient synthesis of macromolecular architectures, i.e. chain structures, topological structures and functionalities. This mini-review is specially themed on pathways to construct copolymer chain structures by organocatalytic copolymerization of mixed type monomers （comonomers bearing different polymerizing moieties） and will be sectioned by different comonomer combinations, including cyclic monoesters of different sizes, cyclic monoesters and lactides, cyclic esters and cyclic carbonates or epoxides, heterocycles and vinyl monomers.

The compositional heterogeneity of two impact polypropylene copolymers（IPCs） was studied by a combinatory investigation of temperature rising elution fractionation（TREF） and solvent *** chain structures and composition of fractions obtained from solvent fractionation were examined in *** TREF results shows that there are much more E-P segmented copolymer and more uniform distribution of ethylene sequence in IPC-1,which is responsible for its better comprehensive mechanical *** fractions from hexane and heptane are ethylene-propylene rubber phase and E-P block copolymers *** result of solvent fractionation method also shows that custom hexane or heptane extractions can not extract the E-P copolymer completely.

Three new transition metal tricyanomethanide complexes [Co（dpdo）（tcm）2] （1）, [Cu（dpdo）（tcm）2] （2） and Cu（dpdo）2（tcm）2 （3） were synthesized and structurally characterized. In compound 1 each Co（II） ion is coordinated to four disorder tcm anions and one dpdo molecule to give a distorted octahedral geometry. In compound 2 each Cu（II） ion is surrounded by four tcm anions and one dpdo ligand to form a square bipyramidal geometry. Both compounds 1 and 2 display a μ1,5-tcm bridged infinite chain structure. Interestingly, in compound 3 coordination geometry around the central ion is square-planar, each Cu（II） ion is coordinated by two dpdo molecules to form a cationic part, the cationic parts is linked with the free tcm anionic parts via electrostatic attraction, leading to the formation of a mononuclear structure. Magnetic susceptibility measurement in the range 2--300 K indicates that there are antiferromagnetic couplings between adjacent metal ions in 1 （0=--2.33 K, C=2.13 cm3-mol 1oK） and 2 （J= --0.30, g = 2.20） respectively.

In this investigation,a new silicone rubber-based MRE material was prepared to be used as a forming medium in manufacturing thin-walled complexshaped Ni-based tubes through the bulging ***,it is significant to investigate the effect of magnetic field intensity,magnetic field loading time,and angle on the mechanical properties of the prepared MRE material during the curing *** obtained results showed that increasing the magnetic field intensity during the curing process can improve the orientation of the chain structure in the elastomer matrix ***,its mechanical properties are the best under the corresponding magnetic field intensity of 321 ***,by extending the magnetic field loading time in the curing process,the orientation of the chain structure was optimized,at the same time,the mechanical properties were also improved,and the best loading time is about 20–25 *** changing the loading angle of the magnetic field during the curing process,the mechanical properties of the MRE were *** the loading angle of the magnetic field is 90°,the elastomer showed the best compression mechanical properties and excellent compression ***,for the anisotropic MRE material,the performance with magnetic compression is always better than that without magnetic compression.
