The microflotation of three single minerals,mixed coal–kaolinite and mixed coal–montmorillonite were examined to study the effects of clay and calcium ions on coal *** results show that the ash content of flotation concentrate increases by 3%in the presence of clay minerals,and the ash content would further increase by 3%in co-presence of clay minerals and high concentration of Ca2+.Scanning electron microscope(SEM)images and elemental spectrum analysis indicate that fne clay particles that coat on the coal surface,which is called slime coating,can affect the coal *** slime coating would be induced much more easily in the presence of Ca2+.

The precise mechanism underlying the effects of anti-CD4 antibody and calcium ions(Ca^(2+)) in peanut allergy remains unknown.C3 H/HeJ mice sensitized with peanut protein extract(PPE)were injected with anti-CD4 antibodies for 4 *** with PPE increased the specific immunoglobulin E(IgE),cytokine,histamine,and mMcp-1 levels,upregulated decorin(Dcn)expression,induced Ca^(2+) inflow in the spleen,and augmented the expression of the transcription factors GATA-3 and Foxp3,which resulted in Th2 and Treg cell ***,the Ca^(2+) levels were positively correlated with the histamine,interleukin(IL)-4,IL-5,and IL-13 levels,and negatively correlated with IL-10 ***,administration of anti-CD4 antibodies markedly alleviated allergic symptoms,activated T cells,and reduced Ca^(2+) inflow,cytokine,histamine,mMcp-1,and the IgHG3,CXCLI2,MMP2 and FABP4 *** results indicated that anti-CD4 antibodies can ameliorate PPE-induced allergy,which is probably related to the suppression of Ca^(2+) inflow,and inhibiting histamine,cytokine and IgHG3,CXCL12,MMP2,and FABP4,thus exerting a protective effect against PPEsensitized food allergy.

The effects of copper ions and calcium ions on the depression of chlorite using CMC（carboxymethyl cellulose） as a depressant were studied through flotation tests,adsorption measurements,ζ potential tests and co-precipitation *** results show that the electrostatic repulsion between the CMC molecules and the chlorite surfaces hinders the approach of the CMC to the chlorite while the presence of copper ions and calcium ions enhances the adsorption density of *** action mechanisms of these two types of ions are *** ions can not adsorb onto the mineral surfaces,but they can interact with the CMC molecules,thus reducing the charge of the CMC and enhancing adsorption *** ions can adsorb onto the mineral surfaces,which facilitates the CMC adsorption through acid/base *** enhanced adsorption density is also attributed to the decreased electrostatic repulsion between the CMC and mineral surfaces as copper ions reduce the surface charge of both the mineral surfaces and the CMC molecules.

Flotation separation of spodumene and albite with activation of calcium ion hydrolysate components

calcium is one of the major elements in human body, and critical in the biological and physiological functions. Soft tissue hardening due to calcification has been reported in various diseases. However, the quantitative relationship between the mechanical properties of soft tissues and calcification has not yet been fully understood. In this study, using human articular cartilage as prototype material, the relationship between the ex vivo calcium concentration and the nanostiffness of soft tissues and collagen fibrils were investigated by indentation-type atomic force microscopy. It is found that the nanostiffness of tissue and collagen fibrils show a significant dependence on concentration of calcium ions, when it is higher than the normal serum calcium concentration. Structural observation of collagen fibrils indicated that the increase of nanostiffness should be the result of the increase of crosslinking with the introduction of calcium among collagen molecules.

It is difficult to separate spodumene and albite by flotation with calcium ion as *** this study,microflotation experiment,solution chemistry calculation,density functional theory(DFT)calculation and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis were conducted to investigate the effect mechanism of c alcium hydrolysate on the flotation separation of spodumene and *** show that the weak interaction intensity of Ca^(2+)with O atoms on the mineral surface makes it difficult to activate minerals *** O atom in the hydroxyl group of Ca(OH)^(+)and Ca(OH)_(2)can be strongly bonded with Al atom on the mineral surface,which greatly improves the adsorption *** the activation of Ca(OH)^(+),the adsorption forms of collectors on the surface of spodumene and albite are quite different,and the adsorption intensity on the surface of spodumene is higher,which is conducive to the flotation separation of spodumene and *** the action of Ca(OH)_(2),the adsorption of the collector on the albite surface is stronger than that of spodumene,which is not conducive to the flotation separation of the two *** adjusting the initial concentration of calcium ions and pulp pH,Ca(OH)^(+)is the main active component,which is the key to improve the separation effect of spodumene and albite.

A phosphetase that hydrolyses phosphate monoesters has been Isolated from wheat thylakold membranes. Biochemical properties and inhibition kinetics of the phosphatase were Investigated using several ions, organlc solvents, and Inhlbltors. Wheat （Trltlcum aestivum L. cv. PH82-2-2） thylakold membrane phosphatase activity was activated by Mg^2＋, Ca^2＋, and Fe^2＋ and was inhibited by Mn^2＋ and Cu^2＋. For example, enzyme activity was acUvated 34.81% by 2 mmol/l. Mg^2＋, but was Inhibited 22.3% and 8.5% by 2 and 1 mmol/L Cu^2＋, respectively. Methanol, ethanol and glycol were all able to activate enzyme activity. Enzyme activity was activated 58.5%, 48.2%, and 8.7% by 40% ethanol, methanol and glycol, respectively. From these results, It can be seen that the degree of actlvetlon of the phosphetase was greatest for ethanol and the type of acUvatlon was uncompetltlve. Moreover, the activity of the thylakold membrane phosphetase was Inhibited by molybdate, vanadete, phosphate, and fluoride and the type of Inhibition produced by these elements was uncompetltlve, non-competitive, competltlve and mixed, respectively.

The aim of the present work was to investigate the swelling behavior and the in vitro release of acemetacin and bovine serum albumin from alginate gel beads crosslinked with Ca2＋ or Ba2＋. The release profiles suggested that the extent of swelling of the alginate beads played an important role in the release of drug. Small drugs are mainly released via diffusion through the alginate gel matrix. Compared with small drugs, large molecule drugs are difficult to diffuse through the pores of the matrix bead until the beads swell to a certain extent to provide enough large pores. The Ba2＋ crosslinked alginate beads showed slower release rate compared with the Ca2＋ crosslinked alginate beads, whether loaded the large molecules or small drugs. In conclusion, the Ba2＋ crosslinked alginate beads are considered more suitable than Ca2＋ crosslinked alginate beads for using as a sustained release vehicle especially for large molecule drugs.

In most coastal and estuarine areas,tides easily cause surface erosion and even slope failure,resulting in severe land losses,deterioration of coastal infrastructure,and increased *** bio-cementation technique has been previously demonstrated to effectively improve the erosion resistance of *** contains magnesium ions(Mg^(2+))with a higher concentration than calcium ions(Ca^(2+));therefore,Mg^(2+)and Ca^(2+)were used together for bio-cementation in this study at various Mg^(2+)/Ca^(2+)ratios as the microbially induced magnesium and calcium precipitation(MIMCP)*** angles,surface strengths,precipitation contents,major phases,and microscopic characteristics of precipitation were used to evaluate the treatment *** showed that the MIMCP treatment markedly enhanced the erosion resistance of *** Mg^(2+)/Ca^(2+)ratios resulted in a smaller change in angles and fewer soil losses,especially the Mg^(2+)concentration below 0.2 *** decreased Mg^(2+)/Ca^(2+)ratio achieved increased precipitation contents,which contributed to better erosion resistance and higher surface ***,the production of aragonite would benefit from elevated Mg^(2+)concentrations and a higher Ca^(2+)concentration led to more nesquehonite in magnesium precipitation *** slopes with an initial angle of 53°had worse erosion resistance than the slopes with an initial angle of 35°,but the Mg^(2+)/Ca^(2+)ratios of 0.2:0.8,0.1:0.9,and 0:1.0 were effective for both slope stabilization and erosion mitigation to a great *** results are of great significance for the application of MIMCP to improve erosion resistance of foreshore slopes and the MIMCP technique has promising application potential in marine engineering.
