This paper presents results obtained from the implementation of a genetic algorithm （GA） to a simplified multi-objective machining optimization problem. The major goal is to examine the effect of crucial machining parameters imparted to computer numerical control machining operations when properly balanced conflicting criteria referring to part quality and process productivity are treated as a single optimization objective. Thus the different combinations of weight coefficient values were examined in terms of their significance to the problem＇s response. Under this concept, a genetic algorithm was applied to optimize the process parameters exist in typical; commercially available CAM systems with significantly low computation cost. The algorithm handles the simplified linear weighted criteria expression as its objective function. It was found that optimization results vary noticeably under the influence of different weighing coefficients. Thus, the obtained optima differentiate, since balancing values strongly affect optimization objective functions.

The article introduces the unique characteristics of cnc machining center cutter compared to traditional cutters, analyzes the choice of cnc machining cutter and factors of choice. Meanwhile, proved by the examples with manufacture software CAXA2004, the correct choice of cnc machining center cutter can give full play to the advantages of cnc machining and improve the economic efficiency and production levels of enterprises.

For rough machining of a complex narrow cavity,e.g.,a complex blisk channel on an aero-engine,the typically used cutting tools are the slender cylindrical cutter and conical ***,as neither of the two is particularly suited for rough machining,wherein the main purpose is to remove a large volume as quickly as possible,the machining efficiency is low,especially when the part materials are of hard-to-cut types(e.g.,Titanium-alloy)for which it often takes days to rough machine a ***,disc machining provides a new and efficient roughing solution,since a disc cutter with a large radius enables a much larger cutting speed and thus a larger material removal ***,due to the large radius of the disc cutter,its potential collision with narrow and twisted channels becomes a serious *** this paper,we propose a novel twophase approach for efficiently machining a complex narrow cavity workpiece using a disc-shaped cutter,i.e.,3+2-axis disc-slotting of the channel by multiple layers(rough machining)+five-axis disc-milling of the freeform channel side surfaces(semi-finish machining).Both simulation and physical cutting experiments are conducted to assess the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed *** experimental results show that,with respect to a same cusp-height threshold on the channel side surfaces,the total machining time of the tested part by the proposed method is about only 36%of that by the conventional approach of plunging-milling(for roughing)plus milling by a slender cylindrical cutter(for semi-finishing).

Nowadays,free-form surfaces have been widely used in various industrial *** are usually machined by cnc machine tools,but recently have also begun to be manufactured by industrial robotic arm manipulators,thanks to low cost,large operation reaching space and high machining flexibility of *** far,various methodologies have been proposed to improve efficiency and quality of free-form surface machining,thus this paper aims at providing a state-ofthe-art review on research advances in free-form surface *** this review,tool path generation,feedrate scheduling in Cartesian space and trajectory planning in joint space are focused for both cnc machining and robot machining,and their research statues,existing difficulties and key issues are discussed in ***,the feasible routes,breakthrough points and future development trend are also expounded.

In this paper,the problem of time optimal feedrate generation under confined feedrate,axis accelerations,and axis tracking errors is *** main contribution is to reduce the tracking error constraint to constraints about the axis velocities and accelerations,when the tracking error satisfies a second order linear ordinary differential *** on this simplification on the tracking error,the original feedrate generation problem is reduced to a new form which can be efficiently solved with linear programming *** results are used to validate the methods.

In this paper, the G-coding method in computerized numerical machining of a printed circuit board （PCB） is presented. PCB design data, which will be generated as the input data of standard G-code, is available to be obtained with ASCH or Excel format through the data exchange inte^ace of an EDA software Protel. With this open numerical control engraving system based on ＂PC ＋ motion controller＂, it is possible to realize rapid PCB plotting in a small quantity, which is characterized by low cost and high accuracy, signifwantly shortening the R＆D cycle of electronic products.
