cesium could play a toxic role in several pathological processes. Atomic force microscopy （AFM） was used to study morphological changes of human erythrocytes after incubating with different concentrations of CsCI, and the Raman spectra were used to study the effects of CsCl on the chemistry components of erythrocyte membrane. The AFM images showed that the ＂domain structures＂ that appeared after incubation with higher concentration of CsCl （150 mmol-L-1）, are featured by the particles aggregated to form ranges and the separations among them enlarged to gorges, and this change may increase the permeability of cell membranes. The Raman results showed that the polar part of membrane phospholipid become more order and with the increasing of the concentration of CsCl, the longitudinal order of nonpolar parts first decreased and then increased. It is concluded that the aggregation of mem- brane proteins and the order changes of the phospholipid cause a change in the distribution and conformation of the phospholipid membrane. And the effects of CsCl on the erythrocyte membrane are mainly dependent on its concentration.

The selective elimination of radioactive cesium from complicated wastewater is imperative in view of environment and human *** has been accepted as one of the most promising adsorbents for cesium ***,its poor selectivity still remains a major ***,a novel montmorillonite-sulfur composite was developed via a facile one-step solvent-free method and used for Cs^(+) *** to the fact that soft Lewis base S^(2-) ligand interacted more strongly with softer Lewis acid Cs^(+) than other cations,the capacity and selectivity towards Cs^(+) was significantly *** this case,a large capacity of 160.9 mg g^(-1) was *** distribution coefficient value(~4000 mL g^(-1))was 3-times larger than that of pristine montmorillonite(~1500 mL g^(-1)).Moreover,this composite could be easily recycled and reused within five times recycling ***,this low-cost and facilely prepared composite are expected to be used for the selective removal of Cs^(+) from complicated wastewater containing various competing ions.

cesium(Cs)and rubidium(Rb)separation from brine is an important and application-oriented topic.4-tert-butyl-2-(a-methylbenzyl)phenol(t-BAMBP)has been used for Cs and Rb ***,the traditional extraction technology is base and acid *** the present work,an innovative process for Cs and Rb extraction with t-BAMBP is developed,which consists of saponification,extraction,scrubbing and *** infrared spectrum and electrostatic potential analysis indicate the hydrogen of phenolic hydroxyl is dissociated from t-BAMBP during saponification and the oxygen of phenolic hydroxyl is the binding site for alkali metal *** organic phase shows an excellent extraction effect for Cs^(+)and Rb^(+).The extraction reaches equilibrium in 5 min,with 99.5%Cs^(+)and 46.7%Rb^(+)are loaded into the organic phase in the single-stage *** method indicates the structure of the extraction complex is MOR·3ROH(M=Cs^(+),Rb^(+),K^(+)),where the electrostatic attraction between M^(+)and the oxygen of phenolic hydroxyl is dominant,and the cation–p interaction has a significant effect *** extraction complex of MOR·3ROH dissociates in the acid environment while scrubbing and stripping is *** Cs^(+)and Rb^(+)are separated from the mixture phase,the proton H bonds to the phenolic hydroxyl group,and the extractant is regenerated.

We report the formation of high-quality Cs0.4MA0.6PbBr3 thin films with nearly full surface coverage and good emission properties upon the introduction of Cs^＋ into perovskite crystals. The Cs0.4MA0.6PbBr3 thin films were applied as emissive layers in light-emitting diodes. A maximum external quantum efficiency of -2.0% was achieved for these green-emitting devices.

Using cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals, CsPb(Cl/Br)3, as a light absorber, we report a highly effective UV and blue light blocking film. The CsPb(Cl/Br)3 nanocrystals are well dispersed in the ethyl cellulose(EC) matrix to compose a UV and blue light shielding film, and the absorption edge of the film is tunable by adjusting Cl to Br ratio using anion exchange. The CsPbCl2 Br-EC film exhibits a transmittance of 5% at 459 nm, 90% at 478 nm and 95% in the range of 500–800 nm, which makes it excellent for UV and blue light shielding. In addition, the as-prepared EC-CsPb(Cl/Br)3 film shows excellent photostability under UV irradiation. Results demonstrate that this EC-CsPb(Cl/Br)3 based materials with sharp absorbance edges, tunable blocking wavelength, and high photostability can be useful for the applications in UV and blue light blocking and optical filters.

We have trapped a cold sample of cesium atoms in a magneto-optical *** damped harmonic force of magneto-optical trap was used to capture and trap the cesium atoms directly from a room temperature *** 1.5×10^(7) cesium atoms with a density of 3×10^(9) atoms/cm^(3) formed a 4mm^(3) cesium atomic cloud with temperature below 500μK.

Radiocesium accumulated in the soil by nuclear accidents is a major environmental *** transport process of cesium(Cs^(+))is tightly linked to the indispensable plant nutrient potassium(K^(+))as they both belong to the group I alkali metals with similar chemical *** of the transporters that had been characterized to date as Cs*transporters are directly or indirectly linked to K^(+).Using a combinatorial approach of physiology,genetics,cell biology,and root uptake assay,here we identified two ATP-binding cassette(ABC)proteins,ABCG37 and ABCG33,as facilitators of Cs^(+)influx.A gain-of-function mutant of ABCG37(abcg37-1)showed increased sensitivity to Cs^(+)-induced root growth inhibition,while the double knockout mutant of ABCG33 and ABCG37(abcg33-1abcg37-2)showed resistance,whereas the single loss-of-function mutants of ABCG33 and ABCG37 did not show any alteration in Cs^(+)*** planta short-term radioactive Cs^(+)-uptake assay along with growth and uptake assays in a heterologous system confirmed ABCG33 and ABCG37 as Cs^(+)-uptake *** response and content were unaffected in the double-mutant background and yeast cells lacking potassium-uptake carriers transformed with ABCG33 and ABCG37 failed to grow in the absence of K^(+),confirming that Cs^(+)uptake by ABCG33 and ABCG37 is independent of K^(+).Collectively,this work identified two ABC proteins as new Cs^(+)-influx carriers that act redundantly and independent of the K^(+)-uptake pathway.

Photoassociation of ultracold atoms is an important method for producing stable ultracold molecules with extensive applications. Ion spectroscopy technique, which has higher sensitivity compared with trap loss spectroscopy and fragment spectroscopy, plays an important pole in the research of photoassociation spectroscopy. Based on ion spectroscopy technique, a complete experimental system is employed to produce and detect the ultracold ground state molecules, including the equipment of photoionization and time-of-fight mass spectroscopy. Ultracold ground state cesium molecules are demonstrated by the ionization detection technique. The number of the ground-state molecules produced in our MOT is measured. In addition, the relationship of the time interval of the cesium atom ion and the cesium molecular ion to the meta/grid voltage is studied for the optimization of the experimental parameters.

An atom economical highly efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of quinoline and 1,2,3,4-tetra- hydroquinoline derivatives from o-nitrotoluenes bearing electron-withdrawing groups and olefins （acrylic esters, acrylonitriles, and methyl acrylates） via a base-catalyzed [2＋4] cycloaddition. This simple, rapid, and environment- friendly method provides a practical pathway for the synthesis of quinoline and 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline derivatives. The starting materials are readily available and 37 products were obtained in good to excellent yields.
