Comparative Analysis of carbon monoxide Modeling from Vehicular Sources in Puebla City,Mexico

The results of dispersion modeling of carbon monoxide are reported in this paper. The results of applying the technique of Rapid Assessment of Sources of Environmental Pollution (RASEP) database and the Air Monitoring State System in the City of Puebla, México, were employed. Concentrations of carbon monoxide emitted by cars inferred by RASAP technique with those reported by the environmental monitoring station “Nymphs”, were compared. The date of 21 June 2005-2010 was selected during the peak hour traffic flow. The dispersion of carbon monoxide was modeled by software DISPER and SCRI software, in order to infer the exposure levels of carbon monoxide in the study area. The estimated and monitored concentrations were evaluated with the Mexican regulations for population’s health protection. Regarding the dispersion model, SCRI was discarded for the target validation because it only allows modeling on specific areas. Moreover, the modeling software allowed DISPER simulations with linear sources of car exhaust, so this advantage is considered appropriate to continue using this program. Both estimates obtained by RASEP, as modeled by DISPER and recorded by the monitoring system exceed the maximum permissible limits of NOM-021-SSA1-1993 getting an impermissible for the area of influence of the assessment monitoring station. The DISPER software has potential use for such evaluations, but more work is required on the system for their inferences can be validated by reproducible physical and chemical measurements.

A Dual Wavelength Differential First Derivative Spectrophotometric Method for Identification and Determination of carbon monoxide Generated During the Microsomal Metabolism of Xenobiotics in vitro

A dual wavelength differential first derivative spectrophotometric method has been developed to standardize the concentration of a saturated aqueous solution of carbon monoxide (CO) as the standard and to identify and to determine CO formed during the microsomal metabolism of xenobiotics in vitro. The method can significantly eliminate the background interference in the assay media and increase the quantitative accuracy and the sensitivity. There is a good linear relationship between CO concentration in the range of 2～10 μmol·L 1 CO and the distance D between the first derivative peak at 415 nm amd valley at 426 nm with r=0.9999(n=5),the regression equation being C (mmol·L 1 )=17.6D 0.4, the detection limit lower than 0.1 μmol·L 1 CO. The average recoveries of CO from the assay system and the sample were 102.1%, RSD=2.9% (n=7) and 79.7%, RSD=6.8% (n=12),respectively. The RSD of within day was 4.4%(n=18),and the RSD of day to day was 6.1%(n=16). By this method, four trihaloanilines and one trihalobenzene were tested, the results showed that only 2,4,5 trifluoroaniline could be converted to CO by the incubation with rat hepatic microsomes, NADPH and oxygen, the ability of phenobarbital or dexamethasone to induce rat hepatic microsomes to catalyze CO formation was 3 or 8 times higher than that of the control.

This study will both compare and contrast the characteristics and roles of two pollutants: nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide. It will begin by tracing each gas’ negative contributions to the Earth’s spheres, as well as relate any negative links that each plays concerning human activity, health, and interaction with the environment. It will include an in-depth analysis of what the proliferation of such toxic gases indicates about human production and causality, plus reflect on any current attempts being made to improve the effects of these pollutants on the environment. This examination will also inspect three NASA missions, i.e., MOPITT/Terra, AIRS/Aqua, and OMI/Aura, the aim of which, among many other tasks, is to detect pollutants within the Earth’s various spheres, as well as analyze weather anomalies, improve prediction methodology, and chronicle meteorological patterns for future study. It will also cover some of the goals, engineering breakthroughs, and in one case, the limitations, of these three satellite missions. Finally, it should be noted that in all stages of this discussion, the author’s main aim will be to focus on the positives that need to be implemented in order to improve the current situations that both anthropogenic and natural disasters have created for the planet.

Synthesis and Investigation of the Activity of Cu-Cr-Co/Al₂O₃/Al-Catalysts in the Microwave Radiation-Stimulated Reaction Joint Deep Oxidation of Hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide

This article shows main principles and presents ideas described in the scientific and technical literature, on the mechanism of interaction of microwave radiation with a solid phase materials, which were used as a basis of creation of new perspective, energy efficient and environmentally safe technologies of preparation of heterogeneous catalysts for the reactions which were carried out under the influence of electro-magnetic radiation of microwave radiation. Author’s research results confirm possibilities of practical use of proposed method of hydrothermal oxidation of industrial low-dispersing of aluminum powders with presence of bulk phase of Al(ОН)3·nH2O, with further thermal treatment in microwave field for acquisition of armored А1/А12О33 compositions, which effectively consume energy of microwave radiation. Due to the textured characteristics and thermo-transforming ability, synthesized components can be used as potential universal bearings of catalysts for reactions stimulated by electromagnetic radiation of (2.45 GHz) microwave frequency.

Influence of CeO2 on Properties and Activity of Oxide Catalysts in carbon monoxide Oxidation

A series of catalysts on the basis of 10 wt.% CuO/y-AI203, 10 wt.% CuO ＋ 10 wt.% Cr2O3/y-AI203 and 15 wt.% MnO2/y -A1203 have been prepared and modified by CeO2 with contents up to 20 wt.%. Physico-chemical properties of the catalysts were determined by the methods of BET Adsorption, XRD, and TPR. Oxidative activity of the catalysts was studied at the temperature range 90-220 ℃and CO concentration of 3 mol.%. Addition of CeO2 led to changes in physico-chemical properties of the catalysts and formation of novel active centres that increased the activity of CuO and Cr203 containing catalysts, but decreased the activity of those, containing MnO2. The catalyst sample containing 10 wt.% CuO and 15 wt.% CeO2 has been shown to be the best one for complete conversion of CO. At the given conditions on this catalyst the complete oxidation of CO to CO2 occurred at 130 ~C during more than 500 h.

Variation characteristics of carbon monoxide and ozone over the course of the 2014 Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition

The concentrations of carbon monoxide and ozone in the marine boundary layer were measured during the 6th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition（from July to September, 2014）. carbon monoxide concentration ranged between 47.00 and 528.52 ppbv with an average of 103.59 ± 40.37 ppbv. A slight decrease with increasing latitude was observed, except for the extremely high values over the East China Sea which may be attributed to anthropogenic emissions. Ozone concentration ranged between 3.27 and 77.82 ppbv with an average of 29.46±10.48 ppbv. Ozone concentration decreased sharply with increasing latitude outside the Arctic Ocean（during both the northward and the southward course）, while no significant variation was observed over the Arctic Ocean. The positive correlation between carbon monoxide and ozone in most sections suggests that the ozone in the marine boundary layer mainly originated from photochemical reactions involving carbon monoxide.

Perception Survey of carbon monoxide Risk in Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer Populations

carbon monoxide （CO） intoxication is one of the most common types of poisoning in the modem world. To better tailor messages and communication needs to the public, a perception survey of CO and his risk was conducted among the population of Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer. The authors included 400 people in this survey. The demographic characteristics of the respondents consisted of： 85.0% female, 92.9% adults, 29.7% had a high level of education, 49.6% unemployed, 89.5% were home owners and 53.9% lived in apartments. Water heaters were present in the homes of 91.0% of respondents and 6.5% of them used gas. Gas was used as fuel in 45.4% of cases. For water heaters, 20.8% had an exhaust duct, 9.9% were serviced regularly and 47.5% were installed in a well ventilated area. Regarding the media, television was the medium that allowed 73.4% of the CO to know, regardless of age, sex and level of education among the 94.3% of who ever heard of this deadly gas before the survey.

Correlationship between Diabetes Mellitus and Chronic carbon monoxide Intoxication

There is a data gap in the relationship between chronic carbon monoxide intoxication and diabetes mellitus manifestation. This study aims to investigate if a cause-effect relationship exists using rabbits as a choice animal model. A total of twenty rabbits were used for the study comprising equal age and weight-matched control and experimental groups. The experimental group was further divided into 10th day, 20th day and 30th CO intoxicated sub-groups. Vitreous and serum glucose, proteins, lipids, electrolytes and renal function parameters were measured using WHO-approved methods. One-way ANOVA (Post hoc-LSD) and Pearson correlational analysis were used for the data analysis. The result showed a progressive significant increase (p < 0.05) in concentrations of vitreous glucose, urea and creatinine in the experimental groups, while the concentrations of vitreous total cholesterol, triglyceride, total protein, globulins, sodium, potassium and pH decreased significantly. In the same vein, the concentrations of serum glucose, triglyceride, and sodium increased significantly (p < 0.05), whereas concentrations of serum cholesterol, total proteins, globulins, potassium, and pH activity decreased significantly. Correlational relationships were also observed between glucose and some associated parameters in the vitreous humour and serum. In conclusion, some of the vitreous and serum biochemical parameters altered followed a similar predictive pattern and usual pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. Therefore, we found that chronic CO intoxication could be included amongst the environmental agents known to be a causative agent of diabetes mellitus.

Liquefied petroleum gas on combustion with deficient oxygen produces toxic carbon *** is used as a fuel to heat water in gas ***,we report a fatal case of carbon monoxide poisoning resulting from the usage of gas water heater.A 24-year-old female had gone to take bath in a bathroom where a gas geyser was installed to heat the *** she did not come out of the bathroom even after more than an hour,the door was broken down by the relatives and she was found *** red postmortem hypostasis,congested and edematous pinkish lungs,and cerebral edema were salient autopsy *** was quantified in blood to 76.55%.The cause of death was attributed to carbon monoxide poisoning;accidental in *** case highlights the hazards of using a gas geyser in an ill-ventilated bathroom.

We first received the previously unknown pattern of the magnetic field and relativistic effects on chemical reactions in catalysis for example, reduction NO with monooxide carbon with used magnetic uranium catalysts, which is to reduce the activation energy of the reactants with increasing concentration of magnetic materials and due to the interaction and control of the motion of ions and electrons with atoms and attraction between ions by means of a magnetic field.
