Psychological predictors of bipolarity in panic disorder

BACKGROUND Panic disorders frequently occur with affective disorders,particularly bipolar *** with panic disorder and bipolar disorder are more likely to present with severe symptoms,such as high rates of suicidal behavior,poor symptomatic and functional recovery,and poor drug *** To investigate the psychological characteristics of panic disorder patients related to *** A total of 254 patients(136 men and 118 women,mean age=33.48±3.2 years)who were diagnosed with panic disorder were included in the *** disorder with bipolarity(BP+)was defined as a score of≥7 on the Korean version of the Mood Disorder Questionnaire(K-MDQ),and a score lower than 7 was considered as a panic disorder without bipolarity(BP-).Self-report questionnaires were analyzed to examine their association with *** tests used in the study were the Mood Disorder Questionnaire(MDQ),Panic Disorder Severity Scale,Beck Depression Inventory,State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI),Temperament and Character Inventory(TCI),and Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory(MMPI).Statistical analyses were performed to evaluate the correlation between bipolarity of panic disorder patients and various psychological test results indicative of psychological *** Patients with a K-MDQ score of 7 or more were considered to have a history of manic or hypomanic episodes(BP+group,n=128),while patients with K-MDQ scores below 7 were defined as those without bipolarity(BP-group,n=126).The BP+group were more likely to be unmarried(single 56.2%vs 44.4%,P=0.008)and younger(30.78±0.59 vs 37.11±3.21,P<0.001).Additionally,the BP+group had significantly higher scores on psychological assessment scales,such as the hypochondriasis,psychopathic deviate,masculinity-femininity,psychasthenia,schizophrenia,and hypomania(Ma)in MMPI,and novelty seeking,harm avoidance and self-transcendence in TCI,and STAI(state and trait)compared to the *** logistic

Information-Matter bipolarity of the Human Organism and ItsFundamental Circuits: From Philosophy toPhysics/Neurosciences-Based Modeling

Synthesis, Characterization and Properties of Bipolar Triphenylamine Charge Transport Materials

Four bipolar triphenylamine(TPA) charge transport materials were constructed by introducing imidazole and trifluoroacetyl groups into the TPA units, and characterized by the nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum(NMR) and mass spectrometry(MS). Among them, 4-(2-(1,3-trifluoroacetyl)imidazole)-phenyl-4,4?-di(4-methoxyphenyl)amine(2 Me OTPA-IOS, 1) was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 24.338(5), b = 9.565(2), c = 11.456(2) ?, β = 99.427(3)°, Mr = 565.47, V = 2631.0(8) ?3,Z = 4,Dc = 1.428 g/cm3, μ = 0.125 mm–1, F(000) = 1160, the final R = 0.0559 and wR = 0.1265 for 5150 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). The optimized configurations of the target compounds were obtained by quantum chemical calculation, and the bipolarity of transportable holes and electrons was predicted by the frontier molecular orbital(HOMO and LUMO), which was further confirmed by the time of flight(TOF) method. In addition, the introduction of the terminal flexible chain enhances the solubility, thermal stability(DSC and TGA) and film-forming property of all compounds, and the frontier orbital energy of the solid film of the compounds was also tested(UV-vis and PYS). Thus, these compounds have the bipolarity of transportable holes and electrons and show good solubility and thermal stability.

Bipolar fuzzy soft mappings with application to bipolar disorders

Bipolar disorder is a neurological disorder that consists of two main factors,*** and *** are two main drawbacks in clinical diagnosis of the bipolar ***,bipolar disorder is mostly wrongly diagnosed as unipolar depression in clinical *** is,because in clinical diagnosis,the first factor is often neglected due to its approach toward ***,the element of bipolarity vanishes and the disease becomes ***,the types of bipolhr disorder are mostly misdiagnosed due to similar *** overcome these problems,the bipolar fuzzy soft set(BFS-set)and bipolar fuzzy soft mappings(BFS-mappings)are useful to tackle bipolarity and to construct a strong mathematical modeling process to diagnose this disease *** technique is extensive but simple as compared to existing medical diagnosis methods.A chart(relation between different types and symptoms of bipolar disorder)is provided which contains different ranges over the interval[-1,1].A process of BFS-mappings is also provided to obtain correct diagnosis and to suggest the best ***,a generalized BFS-mapping is introduced which is helpful to keep patient's improvement *** case study indicates the reliability,efficiency and capability of the achieved theoretical ***,it reveals that the connection of soft set with bipolar fuzzy set is fruitful to construct a connection between symptoms which minimize the complexity of the case study.
