The pseudoscalar meson and baryon octet interaction with strangeness S=-2 in the unitary coupled-channel approximation

The interaction of the pseudo scalar meson and the b ary on octet with strangeness S=-2 and isospin I=1/2 is investigated by solving the bethe-salpeter equation in the infinite and finite volume respectively.It is found that there is a resonance state generated dynamically,which owns a mass of about 1550 MeV and a large decay width of 120-200 MeV.This resonance state couples strongly to theπΞchannel.Therefore,it might not correspond to theΞ(1620)particle announced by Belle collaboration.At the same time,this problem is studied in the finite volume,and an energy level at 1570 MeV is obtained,which is between theπΞand KΛthresholds and independent of the cubic box size.

Taking D^(*)_(s0)(2317)^(+)as a conventional cs meson,we calculate its dominant strong and electromagnetic decays in the framework of the bethe-salpeter method.Our results areΓ(D^(∗+)_(s0)→D^(+)_(s)π^(0))=7.83^(+1.97)_(-1.55)keV andΓ(D^(∗+)_(s0)→D^(∗+)_(s)γ)=2.55^(+0.37)_(-0.45)keV.The contributions of the different partial waves from the initial and final state wave functions to the decay width are also calculated,and we find that the relativistic corrections in both decay processes are very large.

The strong attractive interaction of the φ meson and the proton has recently been reported by the ALICE Collaboration.The corresponding scattering length f_(0) is given as Re(f_(0))=0.85±0.34(stat)±0.14(syst)and Im(f_(0))=0.16±0.10(stat)±0.09(syst)fm.The fact that the real part is significant in contrast to the imaginary part indicates a dominant role of elastic scattering,whereas the inelastic process is less important.In this work,such scattering processes are inspected based on a unitary coupled-channel approach inspired by the bethe-salpeter equation.The φp scattering length is calculated based on this approach,and it is found that the experimental value of the φp scattering length can be obtained only if the attractive interaction of the φ meson and the proton is taken into account.A significant outcome of such attractive interaction is a two-pole structure in the φp scattering amplitude.One of the poles,located at(1969−i283)MeV might correspond to N(1895)1/2^(−)or N(1875)3/2^(−)as listed in the review of the Particle Data Group(PDG).The other one,located at 1949−i3 MeV should be a φN bound state,which has no counterpart in the PDG data.

We revisit the heavy quarkonium leptonic decays ψ(nS)→■^+■^- and Υ(nS)→■^+■^- using the bethe-salpeter method.The emphasis is on the relativistic corrections.For the ψ(1S-5S)decays,the relativistic effects are 22-2^+3%,34-2^+5%,41-6^+6%,52-13^+11% and 62-12^+14%,respectively.For the Υ(1S-5S) decays,the relativistic effects are 14-2^+1%,23-3^+0%,20-2^+8%,21-7^+6% and 28-7^+2%,respectively.Thus,the relativistic corrections are large and important in heavy quarkonium leptonic decays,especially for the highly excited charmonium.Our results forΥ(nS)→■^+■^- are consistent with the experimental data.

The heavy quark effective theory vastly reduces the weak-decay form factors of hadrons containing one heavy quark. Many works attempt to directly apply this theory to hadrons with multiple heavy quarks. In this paper,we examine this confusing application by the instantaneous bethe-salpeter method from a phenomenological perspective, and give the numerical results for Bc decays to charmonium where the final states include 1S, 1P, 2S, and 2P. Our results indicate that the form factors parameterized by a single Isgur-Wise function deviate substantially from the full ones, especially when excited states are involved. The relativistic corrections(1/mQcorrections) require the introduction of more non-perturbative universal functions, similar to the Isgur-Wise function, which are the overlapping integrals of the wave functions with the relative momentum between the quark and antiquark.

Employing an approach based on the Green functions of Landau-gauge QCD,some selected results from a calculation of meson and baryon properties are presented.A rainbow-ladder truncation to the quark Dyson-Schwinger equation is used to arrive at a unified description of mesons and baryons by solving bethesalpeter and covariant Faddeev equations,respectively.

Mass spectra and wave functions of the doubly heavy baryons are computed assuming that the two heavy quarks inside a baryon form a compact heavy'diquark core'in a color anti-triplet,and bind with the remaining light quark into a colorless baryon.The two reduced two-body problems are described by the relativistic bethe-salpeter equations(BSEs)with the relevant QCD inspired kernels.We focus on the doubly heavy baryons with 1^+heavy diquark cores.After solving BSEs in the instantaneous approximation,we present the mass spectra and the relativistic wave functions of the diquark cores,and of the low-lying baryon states J^P=(1/2)^+and(3/2)^+with flavors(ccq)(bcq)and(bbq).A comparison with other approaches is also made.

Heavy-light mesons in a relativistic model

We study the heavy-light mesons in a relativistic model, which is derived from the bethe-salpeter equation by applying the Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation to the heavy quark. The kernel we choose is based on scalar confinement and vector Coulomb potentials. The transverse interaction of the gluon exchange is also taken into account in this model. The spectra and wave functions of D, Ds, B, Bs meson states are obtained. The spectra are calculated up to the order of 1/mQ, and wave functions are treated to leading order.

In this study,we systematically investigated two-pseudoscalar meson systems with the bethe-salpeter equation in the ladder and instantaneous approximations.By solving the bethe-salpeter equation numerically with the kernel containing the one-particle exchange diagrams,we found that the K■,DK,B■,D■,B■,BD,D■,BK,and■systems withI=0 can exist as bound states.We also studied the contributions from heavy meson(J/ψandΥ)exchanges and found that the contributions from heavy meson exchanges cannot be ignored.
