A new damping composite of CPE/BaTiO3/VGCF has been developed on the basis of the piezo- effect and conductivity mechanism. The conductivity of composites varied with the VGCF content are tested and analyzed.The results indicate that the conductivity of composites grows up slowly as the VGCF content is in the range of 10%-20%. It is very useful for industrial application to control the conductivity of composites by adjusting the VGCF content. In addition, at the range of - 50 - 120°C,the dependence of loss factor on the VGCF content varied with the temperature are tested and analyzed by dynamic mechanical and dielectric behavior measurement of the composites, and expected results are obtained.

Ferro nematic suspensions are the prominent materials to enhance the electro optical performance of liquid crystal displays. Electro optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) display with the introduction of barium Titanate nanoparticles have been investigated in this article and it is shown that there is a considerable enhancement in electro-optical response of the displays. The nanoparticles lower the switch-on electric field and thereby increase the optical transmission at certain voltages of the displays. The electro-optical characteristics of the PDLC cells were investigated with a He-Ne laser followed by MatLab calculations.

Cobalt substituted barium ferrites, BaCoxFe12-xO19 (x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 & 1.0) have been synthesized via citrate sol-gel method. All the samples have been annealed at 1000℃ and characterized using Fourier Transform Infra Red spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffractography and Vibrating Sample Magnetometry. The FT-IR spectra of the samples exhibit two frequency bands in the range of 580 cm-1 and 460 cm-1, corresponding to the formation of metal oxides. The XRD studies reveal a crystallite size of ~55 nm. The saturation magnetization decreases from 96.3 emu/g to 47.8 emu/g with increasing concentration of cobalt due to the lower magnetic moment of Co2+ (3 μB) as compared to Fe3+ (5 μB). The coercivity values also show a decreasing behaviour from 3800 Oe to 1750 Oe with increasing cobalt concentration due to reduced magnetocrystalline anisotropy.

This paper reports the growth of pqre and Na,K modified lead barium niobate crystals and the measurement of their dielectric and structure properties.Exprimental results show that both pure and Na,K modified lead barium niobate crystals have growth striations.All the crystals belong to 4mm point group of tetragonal system at room temperature.Their Curie temperature are 379℃,389℃ and 473℃,respectively.

Objective To review the results of surgical management of cicatricial esophageal stenosis secondary to chemical burn. Methods Retrospective study was carried out on 30 children ( male 20, female 10 ) with esophagageal cicatricial stenosis. The mean age was 29 months (17 to 60 months) and body weight ranged from 5 to 20 kilograms. One child ingested pesticide whereas the remaining ingested acidic of caustic solutions. There children had complete obliteration of cervical esophagus, 5 had near-complete obliteration and the remaining showed stringy esophageal outline on barium meal study. Five children developed stridor and inspiratory dyspnea. Six children had previous gastrostomy. All patients underwent retrosternal colonic replacement based on left ascending colonic artery. Results Post-operatively, one patient developed anastomotic leakage and one anastomotic stenosis. One patient underwent a post-operative tracheostomy. There was no mortality. All patients were followed-up for 4-20 years with normal

本文总结了1955年～1986年收治的小儿小肠出血59例.出血呈多种形式,可发生于任何年龄,临床表现无特异性,病理以美克尔憩室及肠重复畸形多见.出血或大便潜血阳性时通过吞线试验、钡餐、钡灌肠、十二指肠镜和结肠镜检查排除十二指肠、胆道以上及结肠出血,即可考虑为小肠出血.反复大出血或严重贫血者应进行手术探查,大出血不止者需立即探查出出血肠管,可采用分段盐水灌洗及台上透光试验,若仍不能确定病灶,则于回肠下1/3行造瘘术,以便进一步观察出血部位及行局部止血措施.

Gastric necrosis is a rare condition because of the rich blood supply and the extensive submucosal vascular network of the stomach. "Gas-bloat" syndrome is a well known Nissen fundoplication postoperative complica-tion. It may cause severe gastric dilatation, but very rarely an ischemic compromise of the organ. Other factors, such as gastric outlet obstruction, may concur to cause an intraluminal pressure enough to blockade venous return and ultimately arterial blood supply and oxygen deliver, leading to ischaemia. We report a case of a 63-year-old women, who presented a total gastric necrosis following laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication and a pyloric phytobezoar which was the trigger event. No preexisting gastric motility disorders were present by the time of surgery, as demonstrated in the preop-erative barium swallow, thus a poor mastication(patient needed no dentures) of a high fiber meal(cabbage) may have been predisposing factors for the develop-ment of a bezoar in an otherwise healthy women at the onset of old age. A total gastrectomy with esophagojejunostomy was performed and patient was discharged home after a 7-d hospital stay with no immediate com-plications. We also discuss some technical aspects of the procedure that might be important to reduce the incidence of this complication.
