Transient Behavior of a Single-Server Markovian Queue with balking and Working Vacation Interruptions

This paper studies the time-dependent analysis of an M/M/1 queueing model with single,multiple working vacation,balking and vacation *** the system becomes empty,the server commences working *** the working vacation period,if the queue length reaches a positive threshold value‘k’,the working vacation of the server is interrupted and it immediately starts the service in an exhaustive *** working vacations,the customers become discouraged due to the slow service and possess balking *** transient system size probabilities of the proposed model are derived explicitly using the method of generating function and continued *** performance indices such as average and variance of system size are also ***,numerical simulations are presented to analyze the impact of system parameters.

An M/G/1 retrial queue with a first-come-first-served (FCFS) orbit,general retrial time,two-phase service and server breakdown is investigated in this *** are allowed to balkand renege at particular *** that the customers who find the server busy are queued inthe orbit in accordance with an FCFS *** customers demand the first 'essential' service,whereas only some of them demand the second 'optional' service,and the second service is *** the service,the server is subject to breakdown and *** that the retrialtime,the service time,and the repair time of the server are all arbitrarily *** using thesupplementary variables method,the authors obtain the steady-state solutions for both queueing andreliability measures of interest.

We consider an observable queue with single exponential *** the system becomes empty,the server begins a vacation at the *** when the vacation ends,if there are customers in the queue,the server begins ***,the server stays idle until the next customer arrives.A customer arriving at an idle server does not wait,while a customer arriving during a server’s vacation must wait until the end of the *** assume both the fully and almost observable cases,then derive equilibrium threshold strategies for the customers and analyze the stationary behavior of the systems under these *** also illustrate the equilibrium thresholds via numerical experiments.
