Multiwavelength All-Optical Clock Recovery of Non-Return-to-Zero Data

A novel scheme of all-optical clock recovery from mutiwavelength non-return-to-zero （NRZ） data stream is proposed and demonstrated. The chirp induced by a chirped fibre Bragg grating and a semiconductor optical amplifier is used to enhance the clock. The clock is recovered after injecting the enhanced signal into the scheme based on the stimulated Brillouin scattering. The experiment is carried out and the dual-wavelength clock is recovered. This novel scheme can realize clock recovery of multiwavelength NRZ signal in the total wavelength range of 3.3nm. This clock recovery technology is transparent to the data bit rate and modulation format, also without pattern dependence.

Research on the bit Computation Model for Time Variable Channel Bandwidth

For the encoding bit-rate problem in H.264 wireless video communication, this paper analyzes the bit-rate computation model and the Mean Square Error distortion model, establishes the relation between the quantization parameter of the encoding bit-rate and the intra frame refresh rate of the macro block, and put forward a new ideal about the coding rate on the basis of general binomial computation model theory. Furthermore, this method not only can adaptively adjust the bit allocation and quantization pa rameter and prevents buffer from overflowing downward or upward under given network bandwidth, but also can apply the rate-distortion to optimize the solution method, control the encoding bits accurately and optimizes the allocation between the intra and inter frame encoding macro block.

Investigation of Upstream Near-Far Problem in VDSL Systems via Complete Adaptive Iterative Water Filling Algorithm

Crosstalk is the main degrading factor in Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) systems which are the result of electromagnetic coupling between two adjacent twisted pairs in a cable. Very-high bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) systems which use higher frequencies for data transmission than the other DSL systems, this effect is more considerable in bit Error rate (BER) degradation. This paper considers a complete adaptive iterative water-filling (IWF) algorithm for Resolving Upstream Near-Far Problem in VDSL Systems. The new distributed dynamic spectrum management algorithm is proposed, which improve achievable bit rate of iterative water-filling algorithm. The paper proffers a new power back-off strategy of the spectral mask at the near-end users, in order to protect the far-end users. Simulation of the proposed algorithm indicates that the bit rate is increased considerably rather the IWF and adaptive water-filling (AIWF) algorithms by keeping their low complexity. Furthermore, by adding the number of users in network, the new algorithm achieves performance gains over the AIWF, completely adaptive.
