We study a class of deep neural networks with architectures that form a directed acyclic graph(DAG).For backpropagation defined by gradient descent with adaptive momenb*tum,we show weights converge for a large class of nonlinear activation functions.'The proof generalizes the results of Wu et al.(2008)who showed convergence for a feed-forward network with one hidden *** an example of the effectiveness of DAG architectures,we describe an example of compression through an AutoEncoder,and compare against sequential feed-forward networks under several metrics.

Objective:To investigate the effect of aqueous solution of biophyb*tum sensUiuum leaf extract(bSEt)on normal and strcptozotocin(STZ)-nicotinamide-induced diabetic ***:Diabetes was induced in adult male Wislar rata by the administration of STZ-nicotinamide(40,110 mg/kg b.w.,respectively)***(200 mg/kg)was administered to diabetic rats for 28 *** effect of extract on blood glucose,plasma insulin,total haemoglobin,glycosylated haemoglobin,liver glycogen and carbohydrate melatxilism regulating enzymes of liver was studied in diabetic ***:bSEt significantly reduced the blood glucose and glycosylated haemoglobin levels and significantly increased the total haemoglobin,plasma insulin and liver glycogen levels in diabetic *** also increased the hexokinase activity and decreased glucose-6-phosphatase,fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase activities in diabetic ***:The results of our study suggest that bSEt possesses a promising effecl on STZ-nicotinamide-induced diabetes.

The integrated power and attitude control for a bias momenb*tum attitudecontrol system is investigated. A pair of counter-spinning wheels is used to provide the biasangular momenb*tum and store/ discharge energy for power requirement of the devices on the *** roll/yaw motion is controlled by pitch magnetic dipole moment. The torque-based control law ofthe wheels is designed, so that the desired pitch control torque is provided and the operation ofcharging/discharging energy is carried out based on the given power. System singularity in thecontrol law of wheels is fully avoided by keeping the wheels counter-spinning. A power managementscheme using kinetic energy feedback is proposed to keep energy balance, which can avoid wheelsaturation caused by superfluous energy. The minimum moment of inertia of the wheels is limited bythe maximum bias angular momenb*tum and the minimum energy, such constrains are analyzed incombination with the geometrical method. Numerical simulation results are presented to demonstratethe effectiveness of the control scheme.

Four pairs of microsatellite molecular polymorphism primers were used to analyse microsatellite fingerprints of 188 seedlings derived from an open-pollinated progeny grafted Eucalyptus globulus breeding arboreb*tum in Victoria, south-eastern Australia. The microsatellite loci chosen for this study were highly polymorphic with the mean number of alleles per locus of 14.25. Individual mothers varied in their outcrosssing rate estimate from 15% to 95%, the overall outcrossing level in the arboreb*tum was 47.9% and the contamination rate was 17.6%. The high selfing level was likely to result in marked inbreeding depression in the performance of open-pollinated seed lots. Open-pollinated seeds collected from such arboreta are not advisable because of its low genetic quality, although such arboreta may be useful for the seed production through large-scale manual pollination or collecting seeds only from trees or genotypes within the arboreb*tum that have high outcrossing rates.
