A new acylated iridoid glucoside, namely, 2＇-O-（5-phenyl-2E, 4E-pentadienoyl）- mussaenosidic acid, was isolated from the aerial parts of the mangrove plant avicennia marina. The structure of the new compound was established on the basis of various NMR spectroscopic analyses, including 2D NMR techniques （^1H-^1H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC） and HR-FAB-MS. This compound displayed moderate antioxidant activity.

The fruits of avicennia marina are widely used for both medicine and food in Guangxi of *** a part of our continuous effort to search for bioactive molecules from the plant,the fruits of *** were investigated,which has led to one new triterpenoid saponin(1)and 29 known compounds been isolated and their structures were established by using spectroscopic methods and comparing with literature *** new triterpenoid saponin showed cytotoxicity against GSC3#and GSC-18# with the IC50 values were 12.21 and 5.53 μg/mL respectively,and most of the known compounds had significant antioxidant capacity with the IC_(50) values ranging from 0.36 to 13.07 μg/mL.

Objective:To evaluate the antioxidant and antimicrobial potential of different parts(leaf,stem and pneumatophore)of a mangrove plant avicennia marina(Forsk.)Vierh(avicenniaceae).Methods:The extraction was done by cold percolation method using solvents of hexane,ethyl acetate,acetone,methanol and *** phenol and flavonoid content were measured by Folin-Ciocalteu’s reagent and aluminium chloride colorimetric method *** antioxidant activity was evaluated using antioxidant assays of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging activity,superoxide radical scavenging assay,2,2’-azino-bis-(3-ethyl)benzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid,ferric reducing antioxidant power and reducing capacity *** antibacterial activity was done by agar well diffusion method against four Gram-positive,four Gram-negative bacteria and four ***:Different antioxidant assays showed different levels of activity in different parts and different solvent ***,acetone extract of stem showed the best antioxidant *** Gram-positive bacteria were more susceptible than Gram-negative bacteria and ***:The results indicated extract of avicennia marina can be used as a promising source of natural antioxidant.

In the present investigation,the alkaloid extracts obtained from leaves of avicennia marina were isolated by Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography at 0.7mL/min velocity using methanol as mobile phase,two isolated compounds Ⅰand Ⅱ were *** the crude alkaloid extracts,the isolated compounds Ⅰand Ⅱ were evaluated for acetylcholinesterase inhibition activities in vitro and the inhibition ratio reached 59.33±0.58﹪,71.67±0.33﹪,and 76.00±0.35﹪at a concentration of 70μg/mL,respectively,which may be novel acetylcholinesterase inhibitors of potential in the therapy of Alzheimer’s *** last the inhibition kinetics of the isolated compound II analyzed by Lineweaver-Burk plots due to the highest acetylcholinesterase inhibition *** results revealed that the Michaelis-Menten constant K m and V max were found to be 0.268±0.033μg/L and 3.345±0.047 U,these values were increased by 23.50% and decreased by 37.92% in the presences of the isolation,*** addition,the values of mixed inhibition constant Ki and K’i was 7.173±0.087μg/L and 8.728±0.065μg/L,respectively.

In this study,a total of 1125 actinobacteria were isolated from the selected mangrove species:avicennia marina,Rhizopora mucronata and Ceriops tagal from three study stations viz.,Minnie Bay,Carbyn’s Cove and *** these three stations,the highest number of actinobacteria was recorded in Carbyn’s Cove(64.97%),followed by(25.51%)at Burmanallah and the minimum of(9.51%)was recorded in Minnie *** number of actinobacteria was recorded from Ceriops tagal(40.44%)than the other selected mangrove species avicennia marina(34.13%)and Rhizopora mucronata(25.42%).Among the 1,125 mangrove-associated actinobacteria,103 morphologically different isolates from the Minnie Bay station was selected for the further characterization *** antibacterial assay,30.11%of the isolates revealed inhibitory activ-ity against all tested clinical pathogens and 65%isolates displayed inhibitory activity against minimum of 04 tested clinical *** survival studies of the actinobacterial isolates also accomplished to withstand in varied NaCl and pH *** 103 isolates,all were found to synthesize gelatinase enzyme,73 isolates demonstrated amylolytic activity,38 isolates exhibited proteolytic and 63 isolates displayed urease ***,56 isolates exhibited excellent DNase activity and 71 isolates revealed positive for l-asparaginase *** our recognition,11 isolates exhibited constructive results in the production of 06 extracellular enzymes of industrial *** 103 isolates,48 isolates were confirmed by molecular level *** on the phylogenetic analysis,the isolates were categorized under the genera:Strep-tomyces,Nocardiopsis,Salinispora and Actinomadura.

针对广东省沿海前沿滩涂营造的大面积低矮稀疏的单一乡土红树白骨壤(avicennia marina)纯林,在湛江雷州附城镇选择低、中2个潮位的白骨壤人工林样地,采用条带方式或随机混合方式套种4种乡土红树植物,以期提升林分密度和树种多样性。结果显示,套种2年后,2种套种方式在中潮带都显著提高红树植物密度,在低潮带都显著提高植被盖度。2种套种方式在套种完成时即可显著提升树种多样性达对照的3倍,但在2年后由于样地内大量白骨壤幼树自然定居,套种对树种多样性的提升效果降低为对照的2倍左右。套种乡土树种对土壤理化性质的影响不显著。结果表明,在高程落差较小的滩涂,条带状种植和混合种植多种乡土红树植物都可显著提高白骨壤纯林的林分密度、结构复杂性和多样性,但是提升效果是否具有可持续性需要更长期的观测。

The community characteristics of mangroves in the Futian Nature Reserve, Shenzhen, China are given based on surveying of 33 quadrats in 4 transects which stretch from the higher tidal zone to the lower tidal zone. The results show that there are 6 community types in this area: Kandelia candel association, avicennia marina association, Aegiceras corniculatum association, Kandelia candel + Aegiceras corniculatum association, Aegiceras corniculatum + Kandelia candel association and Acanthus ilicifolius association. Kandelia candel, Aegiceras corniculatum and avicennia marina dominate the typical quadrats. Kandelia candel can be seen at almost all quadrats, Aegiceras corniculatum distributes mostly toward the estuary and the higher tidal zone, avicennia marina distributes mostly toward the bay and the lower tidal zone, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza occasionally occurs toward the Estuary with one or several individuals, Acanthus ilicifolius was common toward the higher tidal zone, as an accompanying species, Derris trifoliata was common in many mature quadrats. Totally, 6 species of mangrove plants and 3 species of semi-mangrove plants appear in this research area. From the higher tidal zone to the lower tidal zone, the average diameter and basal area of mangrove trees increase gradually. According to the results, the avicennia marina dominates in average diameter and basal area, and the Aegiceras corniculatum trees are on the contrary. From the transect 1 to the transect 4, the importance value of avicennia marina, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza and Kandelia candel decreases, and Aegiceras corniculatum increases. In this area, the Kandelia candel population and Aegiceras corniculatum population are developing populations with many seedlings and saplings, but the avicennia marina population is in a mature stage with few seedlings and not so many total individuals.
