augmented reality(AR)applications can be used to improve tasks and mitigate errors during facilities operation and *** article presents an AR system for facility management using a three-dimensional(3D)object tracking *** spatial mapping,the object of interest,a pipe trap underneath a sink,is tracked and mixed onto the AR *** that,the maintenance steps are transformed into visible and animated *** some tracking issues related to the component parts were observed,the designed AR application results demonstrated the potential to improve facility management tasks.

In the context of Industry 4.0,a paradigm shift from traditional industrial manipulators to Collaborative Robots(CRs)is ongoing,with the latter serving ever more closely humans as auxiliary tools in many production *** this scenario,continuous technological advancements offer new opportunities for further innovating robotics and other areas of next-generation *** example,6G could play a prominent role due to its human-centric view of the industrial *** particular,its expected dependability features will pave the way for new applications exploiting highly effective Digital Twin(DT)-and eXtended reality(XR)-based *** this work,a novel application for the above technologies allowing two distant users to collaborate in the programming of a CR is *** approach encompasses demanding data flows(e.g.,point cloud-based streaming of collaborating users and robotic environment),with network latency and bandwidth *** obtained by analyzing this approach from the viewpoint of network requirements in a setup designed to emulate 6G connectivity indicate that the expected performance of forthcoming mobile networks will make it fully feasible in principle.

A precise knowledge of intra-parenchymal vascular and biliary architecture and the location of lesions in relation to the complex anatomy is indispensable to perform liver ***,virtual three-dimensional(3D)-reconstruction models from computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging scans of the liver might be helpful for *** reality,mixed reality and 3Dnavigation could transfer such 3D-image data directly into the operation theater to support the *** review examines the literature about the clinical and intraoperative use of these image guidance techniques in liver surgery and provides the reader with the opportunity to learn about these *** reality and mixed reality have been shown to be feasible for the use in open and minimally invasive liver surgery.3D-navigation facilitated targeting of intraparenchymal *** existing data is limited to small cohorts and description about technical details e.g.,accordance between the virtual 3D-model and the real liver *** controlled trials regarding clinical data or oncological outcome are not *** to now there is no intraoperative application of artificial intelligence in liver *** usability of all these sophisticated image guidance tools has still not reached the grade of immersion which would be necessary for a widespread use in the daily surgical *** there are many challenges,augmented reality,mixed reality,3Dnavigation and artificial intelligence are emerging fields in hepato-biliary surgery.

This study applies augmented reality(AR)to design an experiment to explore the academic performance,motivation and cognitive load level of students in distance education when leaning about communications engineering *** samples were 62 distance education students,consisting of 42 part-time adult students from a school of network education and 20 full-time students form a university,all of whom studied remotely in the experimental *** results show that augmented reality can help distance education students improve their academic *** for learning motivation,the enhancement effect is not *** study also found that the use of AR did not increase students'cognitive load as long as the guidance was appropriate.

The study addresses the integration of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology with Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies in the context of the development of a multidisciplinary project, involving architecture, structures, water network and electrical system components. In order to cover in detail the various design features, the case study was limited to a specific area of a house, the sanitary rooms, as it presents sufficient complexity in modeling and the application of VR and AR software. The VR/AR functionalities applied over the BIM model increase the potential of BIM in the construction sector, contributing to the achievement of a high level of collaboration and control of the project based on an immersive and interactive environment. The elaboration of the different phases of a BIM design requires the transfer of models between BIM and VR/AR systems, allowing us to analyze the main advantages that BIM/VR/AR integration can introduce in the construction industry. The study contributes positively to achieving new knowledge in BIM, being disseminated in an academic research work and illustrated in a practical context.
