An intelligent control plan for the secondary cooling of continuous casting of slab was put forward. An off-line simulation of the system by using neural networks combined with fuzzy logic control is provided. The results show that the intelligent control system can not only control the surface temperature of the bloom of the secondary cooling but also has a good ability of self-adaptation and self-learning.

Ultrasonic motor (USM) is a newly developed motor, and it has some excellent performances and useful features, therefore, it has been expected to be of practical use. However, the driving principle of USM is different from that of other electromagnetic type motors, and the mathematical model is complex to apply to motor control. Furthermore, the speed characteristics of the motor have heavy nonlinearity and vary with driving conditions. Hence, the precise speed control of USM is generally difficult. This paper proposes a new speed control scheme for USM using an artificial neural network. An accurate tracking response can be obtained by random initialization of the weights of the network owing to the powerful on line learning capability. Two prototype ultrasonic motors of travelling wave type were fabricated, both having 100 mm outer diameters of stator and piezoelectric ceramic. The usefulness and validity of the proposed control scheme are examined in experiments.

Phishing attacks pose a significant security threat by masquerading as trustworthy entities to steal sensitive information,a problem that persists despite user *** study addresses the pressing issue of phishing attacks on websites and assesses the performance of three prominent Machine Learning(ML)models—artificial neural networks(ANN),Convolutional neural networks(CNN),and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)—utilizing authentic datasets sourced from Kaggle and Mendeley *** experimentation and analysis reveal that the CNN model achieves a better accuracy of 98%.On the other hand,LSTM shows the lowest accuracy of 96%.These findings underscore the potential of ML techniques in enhancing phishing detection systems and bolstering cybersecurity measures against evolving phishing tactics,offering a promising avenue for safeguarding sensitive information and online security.
