This paper supplements the effect of Gray code transformation on cross points which are neighbor to the points of gray levels 2 with Gray codes of cross points on bit plane *** the natural characteristic of images,the data do not change much in a specific area,so at first the effect of Gray codes is determined with an adjacent data set,then it will be generalized for real data without losing the generality of their statistical characteristics,espescially in medical images which contain many regions having the same gray scale.A further conclusion,being also a consequence of this effect,is the change of data bits for Gray codes in the regions of cross points from original data *** makes the probabilities of data bits on specific bit planes in those regions and then the entropies of messages,be *** fact has important effects on encoding and decoding processes.

Point cloud compression is critical to deploy 3D representation of the physical world such as 3D immersive telepresence,autonomous driving,and cultural heritage ***,point cloud data are distributed irregularly and discontinuously in spatial and temporal domains,where redundant unoccupied voxels and weak correlations in 3D space make achieving efficient compression a challenging *** this paper,we propose a spatio-temporal context-guided algorithm for lossless point cloud geometry *** proposed scheme starts with dividing the point cloud into sliced layers of unit thickness along the longest ***,it introduces a prediction method where both intraframe and inter-frame point clouds are available,by determining correspondences between adjacent layers and estimating the shortest path using the travelling salesman ***,the few prediction residual is efficiently compressed with optimal context-guided and adaptive fastmode arithmetic coding *** prove that the proposed method can effectively achieve low bit rate lossless compression of point cloud geometric information,and is suitable for 3D point cloud compression applicable to various types of scenes.

A new Modified Discrete Wavelets Packets Transform (MDWPT) based method for the compression of Surface EMG signal (s-EMG) data is presented. A Modified Discrete Wavelets Packets Transform (MDWPT) is applied to the digitized s-EMG signal. A Discrete Cosine Transforms (DCT) is applied to the MDWPT coefficients (only on detail coefficients). The MDWPT+ DCT coefficients are quantized with a Uniform Scalar Dead-Zone Quantizer (USDZQ). An arithmetic coder is employed for the entropy coding of symbol streams. The proposed approach was tested on more than 35 actuals S-EMG signals divided into three categories. The proposed approach was evaluated by the following parameters: Compression Factor (CF), Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Percent Root mean square Difference (PRD), Mean Frequency Distortion (MFD) and the Mean Square Error (MSE). Simulation results show that the proposed coding algorithm outperforms some recently developed s-EMG compression algorithms.
