Shades of different l.ght intensities (29%, 43%, 54%,60% or 68%) al.ng with control.(no shade) were studied to observe their effects on the fl.wering time and pl.nt qual.ty. A hyperbol.c rel.tionship was observed between different l.ght intensities under shade,and time to *** total.number of fl.wer buds showed a curvil.near rel.tionship with l.ght intensities. Growth parameters rel.ted to the pl.nt characteristics such as pl.nt height,l.af area and pl.nt fresh weight were improved under shading treatments at the expense of fl.wering time and number of fl.wer ***,both l.near and pol.nomial.model. appl.ed assumed that cul.ivar Chimes White was equal.y sensitive to l.ght intensity throughout devel.pment.
