Background Dimethylaminoethanol has been widely used to fight against wrinkles, in the field of aesthetic medicine there is an increasing demand for safe and effective Dimethylaminoethanol-based products to counteract the ageing process. Objective To evaluate the anti- ageing effects of a new DMAE- based formulation. Methods 30 male rats were randomly allocated into treatment,D-gal ageing modeland control groups, each of which contained ten *** group and D- gal ageing model group were subcutaneously injected with D- galactose prepared in normal saline 125mg·kg-1·d-1for 42 d. Control groups were injected with normal saline for42 d with same method and dose. From the 18 th day,after shaving their hair,the treatment grouprats were injected thisnew DMAE-based formulation at a dose of 1ml per week for 4 weeks in the Dermis of two sides hip skin mark ***,D-gal ageing model group rats were administrated the same volume of normal saline with same method. Skin specimens were obtained 3days after the last treatment. Dermal collagen density and dermal thickness were evaluated by H&E and Massontrichrome staining. And m RNA expressions of TGFβ1, Smad3, Type I,Type III Pro-collagen,TIMP-1,MMP- 1,were assessed by Real- time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results Dermal thickness, dermal collagen density and hydroxyproline content in treatment group increased significantly comparing with D- gal ageing model group. No differences were found in m RNA expression of MMP- 1 and Type III Pro- collagen between the treatment group and D- gal ageing model group. In addition, m RNA expression of TGFβ1, Type I Pre-collagen, TIMP1 and smad3 in treatment group were significantly up- regulated in contrast with D- gal ageing model and control group. Conclusion This new DMAE- based formulationcould generate anti- ageing effects by activating collagen synthesisthrough TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway.

A total of 23 mushroom extracts were prepared using the newly developed Natural Form Extraction(NFE) method and screened for anti-ageing activity in Drosophila *** amounts of extractives obtained from broken-walled spores of ***,and from *** and *** fruit bodies,were markedly higher when the NFE method was adopted compared with the more conventional Thermal Water Extraction(TWE) ***,in the case of ***,the Drosophila longevity prolongation rate for extracts prepared using the NFE method was almost three times *** dosage tests revealed that *** extract added to the basic Drosophila diet at a concentration of 20 g/L was most effective in prolonging the longevity of both male and female populations(prolongation rates of 43.2% and 20.3% for male and female populations,respectively).In the case of *** extract,5 g/L and 20 g/L dosages prolonged longevity in male Drosophila populations to a similar degree whereas 20 g/L was most effective in female *** the 23 mushroom materials tested,extracts of ***,***,Yuewei *** spores,***,***,*** and *** exhibited significant Drosophila anti-ageing activity,especially in the case of male populations.

Introduction: The use of growth factors and cytokines in skin rejuvenation and reversal of photo ageing is a novel anti-ageing treatment. These factors provide a microenvironment that seems to favor tissue repair and regeneration. Methods: An open label, monocentric, single arm study to evaluate anti-ageing efficacy of conditioned medium obtained from adult human bone-marrow derived allogenic mesenchymal stromal cells (BMMSC) along with excipients formulated into a cosmetic serum, was conducted in 40 Indian female population aged 35 to 60 years, belonging to skin type IV - VI of Norwood Scale for a duration of 90 days. Parameters—fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, evenness of skin tone, skin firmness/laxity, hydration of skin, homogeneity of age spots, and visible pores were used to evaluate the anti-ageing and rejuvenating properties of the test product. Results and Discussion: Improvement was seen in majority of parameters starting from 15 - 30 days. Product was safe and well tolerated as per the dermatologist and subjects’ self-assessment.

Review of the current literature available on Rasayanas indicates that anti-oxidant and immunomodulation are the most studied activities of the Rasayana *** in Pubmed database on Rasayanas reveals that single plants as well as poly herbal formulations have been researched *** article reviews the basics of Rasayana therapy and the published research on different Rasayana drugs for specific health *** also provides the possible directions for future research.

Functional evaluation for effective compositions in seed oil of Korean pine

The effect of seed oil of Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis) on the rats' blood-fat and its anti-ageing function was stud-ied for appraising the efficacy of the seed oil of Korean pine. Sixty experimental rats were randomly divided into 5 groups (half males and half females in each group) as normal control group, high fat diet control group, and three groups (Group 1 Group 2, Group 3) that were fed with feedstuff with the contents of the seed oil of 2.0g/(kgd-1), 4.0g/(kgd-1) and 8.0g/(kgd-1), respec-tively. The indexes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and anti-oxidation capacity (AOC) were measured by Reagent Kit method. It was found that the seed oil of the Korean pine could reduce the content of triglyc-eride and improve SOD as well as GSH-PX activity in serum. These indexes of the rats in Group 2 fed with Korean pine seed oil of 4.0 g/(kgd-1) reached the significant level and those of rats in Group 3 fed with the seed oil of 8.0 g/(kgd-1) reached the extremely significant level. The results indicated the seed oil of Korean pine had function of regulating the level of blood-fat and anti-ageing.
