Meso-tetrahydroxylphenyl chlorin (m-THPC) is one of the most efficient prospective sensitizers used in photodynamic therapy (PDT). ESR spectroscopy, fluorescence quenching experiments and cyclic voltammogram measurement were used to study its redox properties. The results showed that the ability of m-THPC generating su-peroxide radical anions was very strong, and the rate constant of m-THPC fluorescence quenching by oxygen kq (O2)=1.46×l010 mol-1 . s-1. The values of fluorescence quenching rate constant of m-THPC by some other electron acceptors, such as methyl viologen (MV2+) and anthraquinone (An), were also measured. And they were kq, (MV2+)=5.51×l09 mol-1 . s-1, kq (An)=7.81×l09 mol-1 .s-1. The oxidation potential of m-THPC was examined to be +0.62 V (vs. NHE) in acetonitrile. All these suggested that m-THPC should be a much stronger electron donor than photofrin, the currently used in clinical photodrug, and may react easily through electron transfer with biological matter to yield various

Multianion Transition Metal Compounds:Synthesis,Regulation,and Electrocatalytic Applications

Polymetallic complexes have attracted a focus of research due to their fascinating structures and potential applications in magnetism,etc.During the past few decades,many efforts have been paid to obtain new coordination polymers with multifunction,and great achievements for this field are created[1].However,the rational designs and syntheses of such complexes are still hugechallenges because the coordination process is acutely influenced by many factors,such as the kind of metal ions,ligands,ratio of metal salts and ligands,reaction solvent,reaction temperature and so on[2,3].Hence,the proper choice of ligands is crucially effective to obtain attractivearchitectures and intrinsic functions[4].Bis-tris propane(HL)including a NO donor site,is a flexible ligand and has been well-used to build high-nuclearity clusters[5].Based on thementioned above,we report the syntheses and structures of three new complexes CoCo(HL)Cl(MeOH)(1),[CoCo(HL)(CHCOO)(HCOO).HO](2),[CoCo(HL)(HCOO)(NO).2HO](3).As shown in Figure 1,compound 1 is the first 0D heptanuclear cluster based on HL.Introducing Co(CHCOO).4HO to replace CoCl.6HO andchanging the solvent CHOH into DMF/CHOH,the 0D clusters are linked by HCOOions,forming 1D zigzag-like chain structure 2.When Co(NO).6HO was introduced,all coordination CHCOOions in compound 2 were substituted by HCOOions and the 1D chains were further bridged by HCOOions,forming 3D framework 3(Figure 1).Magnetic studied show that compound 1 exhibitsferrimagnetic behaviors.While compound 2 shows antiferromagnetic interactions and there exists spin canting in compound 3.

CONSPECTUS:Energy electrocatalysis is an essential part for the modern energy network serving as the core technique in many electrochemical energy devices such as batteries,fuel cells,electrolyzers,etc.Developing high-performance electrocatalysts,especially the pursuit for higher intrinsic electrocatalytic activity,is the eternal theme for high-efficiency energy electrocatalysis.Transition metal compounds are highly considered as promising highperformance electrocatalysts due to their facile fabrication,well-defined structure,and encouraging intrinsic activity.However,further promotion on intrinsic electrocatalytic activity of conventional transition metal compounds encounters an unavoidable bottleneck originated from the rigid homoanion structure with limited choice of anions.Facing the above issue,heteroanion substitution on pristine transition metal compounds has been proposed in some recent research.Their unique structure and properties that distinguish them from routine transition metal compounds have attracted wide attention to reveal distinct electronic structures,synthesis methodologies,and functions in energy electrocatalysis for future application.

Complex [(DB18C6) (CH3OH)]2W6O19 · (DB18C6) · (CH3OH), Mr=2630. 43, monoclinic, space group P21/c, a=18. 699(5), b=19. 568(4), c=22. 785(5) Å, β=112. 91(2)°, V=7679(7) Å3, Z=4, Dc=2. 275 g/cm3, F(000) =4992, μ=92. 52 cm-1. The final R=0. 035 and Rw=0. 041 for 5689 observed reflections (I≥3σ(I)). The complex contains one hexatungstate anion and two sodium cations. Each Na cation is inlaid in the cavity of one dibenzo-18-crown-6(DB18C6) with six Na - O coordination bonds. In addition, it linked to O atom of CH3OH from one side of DB18C6 and bonded to one of the terminal O atoms in hexatungstate anion from the other side. The two DB18C6 connected with hexatungstate symmetrically by the long-distance interaction through the O - Na - O bonds with Na - O distances of 2. 28(1)-2. 37(1) Å, W - O distances are 1. 68(2)-2. 34(2) Å. C - O distances in methanol coordinated with cation are 1. 38(4)-1. 41(4) Å.

Introduction. Some active enzymes in nature contain Mo element. It has been shown by the experiments that Mo atoms in Mo enzYmes exist probably in dinucleus species with （V） or （VI） oxidational states. Therefore, the coordination chemistry of high-valency Mo compounds has attracted wide attention among which one is di-μ-oxo-dimolybdenum compound. The spectral property of the compounds containing （Mo2O4（C2O4）2（H2O）2）2- anion has been studied3,4.

The Raman spectra of monoclinic NdAl_(3)(BO_(3))_(4 )(NAB)have been recorded and interpreted・A factor group analysis of the NAB space group shows that there are 25A_(g) and 26B_(g) Raman-active modes,and 34A_(U) and 35B_(U) IR-active modes.A discussion of the assignment of the individual Raman lines was given・The predicted factor group splittings for the internal modes of BO_(3 )anion were observed and interpreted.
