Fabrication of TiO_2 Nanotube Arrays by Rectified alternating current Anodization

Anodization is a popular method of preparing TiO2nanotube array films（TiNTs） by using direct current（DC）power as the driving *** this study,three driving voltage modes,namely,the sine alternating current（sine） mode,the full-wave rectification of sine waves via four diodes（sine-4D,where D means diode） mode,and the DC mode,were used to prepare TiNTs by *** 20 V,TiNTs were formed under sine-4D mode but only irregular porous TiO2films were formed under DC *** 50 V,TiNTs formed under both the sine-4D and DC *** TiNTs formed in the sine mode anodization at either 20 or 50 *** with the DC mode,the sine-4D mode required a lower oxidation voltage for TiNT formation,which suggests that sine-4D is an economical,convenient,and efficient driving voltage for TiNT preparation by *** morphologies and structures of TiNT samples anodized at 50 V in the sine-4D and DC modes at different oxidation time（1,5,10,30,60,and 120 min） were *** growth processes were similar between the studied ***,the growth rate of the films was faster under the sine-4D mode than the DC mode during the first 30 min of anodization.

Effect of iron ion configurations on Ni^(2+) removal in electrocoagulation

Electrocoagulation(EC)has been widely used to treat the heavymetal wastewater in industry.A novel process of sinusoidal alternating current electrocoagulation(SACC)is adopted to remove Ni2+in wastewater in this *** morphology of precipitates and the distribution of the main functional iron configurations were *** timed complex spectroscopy can identify the monomeric iron configurations[Fe(a)],oligomeric iron configurations[Fe(b)]and polymeric iron configurations[Fe(c)].The optimal operating conditions of SACC process were determined through single-factor *** maximum Ni2+removal efficiency[Re(Ni^(2+))]was achieved under the conditions of pH0=7,current density(j)=7 A/m^(2),electrolysis time(t)=25 min,c0(Ni^(2+))=100 mg/*** pH=7,the proportion of Fe(b)and Fe(c)in the system was 50.4 at.% and 23.1 at.%,*** the SACC process,Fe(b)and Fe(c)are themain iron configurations in solution,while Fe(c)are the vastmajority of the iron configurations in the direct current electrocoagulation(DCC)***(Ni2+)is 99.56% for SACC and 98.75% for DCC under the same optimum conditions,*** precipitates produced by SACC have a high proportion of Fe(b)configurations with sphericalα-FeOOH andγ-FeOOH structures which contain abundant hydroxyl ***,it is demonstrated that Fe(b)has better adsorption capacity than Fe(c)through adsorption experiments of methyl orange(MO)***(a)configurations in the homogeneous solution had no effect on the removal of nickel.

Organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs)have gained considerable attention because of their use of inherently flexible materials and their compatibility with facile roll-to-roll and printing *** addition to high efficiency,flexibility and transparency,reliable color tunability of solid state light sources is a desirable feature in the lighting and display ***,we demonstrate a device concept for highly efficient organic light-emitting devices whose emission color can be easily adjusted from deep-blue through cold-white and warm-white to saturated *** approach exploits the different polarities of the positive and negative half-cycles of an alternating current(AC)driving signal to independently address a fluorescent blue emission unit and a phosphorescent yellow emission unit which are vertically stacked on top of each *** electrode design is optimized for simple fabrication and driving and allows for two-terminal operation by a single *** presented concept for color-tunable OLEDs is compatible with application requirements and versatile in terms of emitter combinations.

A theory of nonlinear AC response in coated composites

A method for determining effective dielectric responses of Kerr-like coated nonlinear composites under the alternating current (AC) electric field is proposed by using perturbation approach. As an example, we have investigated the composite with coated cylindrical inclusions randomly embedded in a host under an external sinusoidal field with finite frequency ω. The local field and potential of composites in general consists of components with all harmonic frequencies. The effective nonlinear AC responses at all harmonics are induced by the coated nonlinear composites because of the nonlinear constitutive relation. Moreover, we have derived the formulae of effective nonlinear AC responses at the fundamental frequency and the third harmonic in the dilute limit.
