New insight into the effect on the alkali cations of Liþ,Naþ,and Kþpre-intercalated between adjacent layers of Mn3(PO4)2$3H2O towards the charge storage mechanism and their electrochemical kinetics of intercalation/deintercalation in three alkali electrolytes is *** electrochemical perfor-mance of the designed LieMn3(PO4)2$3H2O material outperforms that most of Mn-based pseudocapa-citive electrode *** designed unique stratified structure is attractive for quick charge migration,which confirms that the appropriate pre-intercalation of alkali cation between layers is an efficient strategy to improve kinetics for the high-power density pseudocapacitive supercapacitor energy storage application.

Carbon dioxide reduction(CRR)is an attractive strategy for alleviating global warming and producing valuable *** this work,we study the catalytic conversion of CO_(2)to C__(1)-C_(3) products on boron nanosheet in the presence of compressive strain by using density functional *** and microkinetic models are applied to demonstrate the favorable products,critical steps,and hydrogenation *** demonstrated,the strain can turn metallic two-dimensional boron nanosheet to semiconductor,not only making boron sheets possess photo(electro)catalytic activity,but also improving energy efficiency and selectivity performance against hydrogen evolution *** introducing the aqueous electrolytes,the hydrated alkali cations not only effect on the CO_(2) concentration,but also produce a bigger surface charge density and stronger interfacial electric ***,the selectivity of C_(2+) products is enhanced with the increase of alkali cations size by decreasing the kinetic barrier for CO dimerization and stabilizing the *** results highlight the significance of metal-free catalysts for CRR by the photoelectrochemical method and provide novel avenues for the development of new solar-energy utilization catalysts.

Hydration Characteristics of Sodium Sulfate Slag Cement System

The hydration characteristics by thermal analysis (DTA) were determined, and an isothermal calorimeter (IC) was used to study the pastes. The experimental results indicate: (1) The main hydration products of SSC are C-S-H (I) gel with a low Ca/Si ratio, crystalline Thomsonite-type and AFt-type phases containing certain alkali cations; (2) No phases of the AFm-type and high alkaline Ca (OH)(2) in SSC system could benefit the hydrated cements to improve its strength and durability; (3) Crystalline Thomsonite-type and AFt-type phases containing Na+ will greatly reduce free alkali and alleviate the harmness of alkali aggregate reaction (AAR) in SSC system; (4) Similar to ordinary Portland cement (OPC), the hydration process of SSC could be classified into five stage: initial, induction, acceleration, deceleration and decay; (5) Regardless of the activator used, the apparent activation energy is higher with the increased slag in cement system, and the rising temperature could promote the hydration of SSC.

A Theoretical Study on the Interactions of Crown Tetraalanylpeptide with Small Metal cations

The density functional theory based on hybrid-method B3LYP was used to investigate the interaction of the alkaline-earth cations or alkali cations with crown tetraalanylpeptide which was the coronary structures of homothetic cyclotetraalapeptide and was represented as the model basic. Many properties including binding energy, optimum geometry structures and population analysis were calculated. It was shown that there was little change on the coronary structure before and after C4-AIa combination with small I A or ｜I A cations, and the electrons moved from C4-AIa to alkaline-earth cations or alkali cations during this process. Combination with C4-Ala, Be2~ was more predominant than Mg2~ and Ca2~ remarkably, but Li~ was not more predominant than Na＋ and K＋. The distances between alkaline-earth cations and the center of C4-Ala were 0.000 nm, 0.150 nm and 0.225 nm, respectively, when the binding energy at minimum, and that for alkali cations were 0.225 nm, 0.250 nm and 0.300 nm.
