alerts是一种不容忽视的获取信息资源的重要途径之一。重视并有效地利用网络数据库alerts服务,有助于科研人员及时跟踪本学科国内外的发展动态,把握科学研究方向,迅速、准确地获取最新的专业研究信息,满足个性化信息需求。本文通过对PubMed、OVID、ProQuest数据库、EBSCOhost、SpringerLink、CSA Illumina等主要网络数据库alerts的介绍与比较,以期引起医学科研人员的重视,利用alerts个性化定制功能为其科研服务。

Computer Assisted alerts Using Mental Model Approach for Customer Service Improvement

Warning alerts are specially designed to protect user rights and safety to avoid serious damage caused by overlooking the essence of warning alerts. Today’s world of Information Communication Technology (ICT) needs improvement and to review the decisions of security experts in terms of improving warning designs and dialogues, and timely inform the authorities to take quick action at the right time and choice. Human behaviour is deeply involved in most of the security failures and its poor response. If we are able to check and monitor human behaviour in any organisation, we can achieve quality assurance and provide best services to our customers. We have arranged a study in the Center of Post Graduate Studies, International Islamic University, Malaysia (CPS-IIUM), department of Hajj Services-Makkah, and Hospital Management System-Makkah comprised of Observation, Interviews, Questionnaire and discussion based on organizational structure and job activities of people involved in different scenarios and positions under one umbrella of organizational objectives in order to trap the human error in order to take rapid action and response from the management team. Human behaviour is deeply observed and checked while performing different job activities in order to identify the serious errors at the right time during job performance at various levels. We have applied the concept of Brahm’s Language for the simulation of human behaviour which proves an opportunity to simulate human behaviour while performing job activities. Customer service can be improved easily if necessary measures and decisions are taken at the right time and place in any organisation.

A U.S.-Japan expert workshop on mobile alert and warning was held online 8–10 September *** by the Japan Foundation’s Center for Global Partnership(CGP)and responding to the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030,the workshop compared *** Japanese mobile alert and warning contexts,systems,policies,and messages to investigate possibilities for international harmonization of mobile device-based early *** workshop’s sessions revealed two interrelated issues that repeatedly surfaced among workshop participants:culture and *** workshop illuminated several possibilities and problems confronting U.S.,Japanese,and global stakeholders as they develop,deploy,and seek to improve the effectiveness of mobile alert and warning systems and messages.

WARNINGS ON TROPICAL CYCLONE FOR WMO GLOBAL MULTI-HAZARD ALERT SYSTEM

The World Meteorological Organization(WMO) is planning to implement a Global Multi-hazard Alert System(GMAS) to aggregate official warning^1 information issued by authorities around the world and to serve as a one-stop shop to support the humanitarian organizations of the United Nations(UN), National Meteorological and Hydrological Services(NMHSs) and other global users including the media. It aims to enhance the authority and visibility of NMHSs and other alerting authorities. To aid effective dissemination of warnings to GMAS, the Common Alerting Protocol(CAP) was considered as a standard and robust format to use. In respect of GMAS infrastructure, the World Weather Information(WWIS) and the Severe Weather Information Centre(SWIC) of WMO as well as the WMO Alert Hub now being implemented are identified as core components, among others. The SWIC is being upgraded with GIS capability for displaying authoritative warnings and tropical cyclone(TC) information, and for use as a display platform of GMAS. Apart from warnings from NMHSs, authoritative TC warnings and advisories issued by Regional Specialized Meteorological Centres(RSMCs) and Tropical Cyclone Warning Centres(TCWCs) are also indispensable information for GMAS. As the existing TC warnings and advisories, now more or less in free text format, are mainly targeted for human users and are not intended for automatic parsing by computer software, it is proposed to make available the TC advisories in a machine-readable format so that TC information can be effectively ingested into GMAS and made available to the UN humanitarian organizations, NMHSs and other global users. In this respect, some enhancement measures to TC advisories are proposed. This calls for active collaboration of Members of the Typhoon Committee in the GMAS project.

The Potential Role of Smart Mobile Technology in Mitigating Ireland’s Tourism Biosecurity Risk

The use of smart mobile technology could potentially ease Ireland’s level of biosecurity risk from tourism. Smart mobile technology is capable of improving communication of biosecurity monitoring, mitigation, and eradication measures to tourists in Ireland. The scope of this research is to assess biosecurity communication from Ireland’s major ports, state agencies, and governing bodies involved in outdoor recreational activities. The aim of this paper is to assess Ireland’s biosecurity communication for any smart mobile technology in national agencies. A mixed method approach was utilised which consisted of content analysis as well as structured qualitative interviews. Analysis has revealed that no evidence of smart mobile technology for biosecurity communication is in place for tourists arriving in Ireland’s ports or in national agencies. The importance of timely communication of biosecurity measures and alerts seems to not have been recognised. The use of this technology could mitigate the risk of tourists vectoring dangerous microbes and aiding biological invasions. This paper concludes that a low emphasis on adopting smart mobile technology could be unnecessarily contributing to Ireland’s biosecurity risk. It offers an opportunity to be improved before a serious biosecurity breach occurs possibly resulting in a lost tourist season or expensive eradication programmes as has been witnessed in other destinations worldwide.
