Objective:This study was aimed to evaluate the in vivo therapeutic effects of the combination of ABZ with interferon(IFN)-αon cystic echinococcosis(CE)in ***:After 5-month secondary infection with protoscolices,Balb/c mice were randomly divided into four groups:ABZtreated group,IFN-α-treated group,ABZ+IFN-αgroup and untreated control *** in different treated groups were respectively administered for 2 *** was respectively taken from caudal veins in mice at treatment time points of 0 d,7 d,14 d,28 d,36 d,48 d and 60 d,in order to detect the changes in the level of antibodies in the *** were then sacrificed after the end of treatment,and related indicators were detected to evaluate the therapeutic ***:In comparison with untreated control group(p<.01)and ABZ-treated group(p<.05),ABZ+IFN-αgroup showed a more significant decrease in the number of cysts,cyst size and cyst *** transmission electron microscopy(TEM)of the cysts in different treated groups,it was found that,there was an obvious change in cyst ultrastructure in ABZ+IFN-α*** experimental results showed that,in ABZ+IFN-αgroup,there was a significant decrease in IL-10 in serums and splenocytes(p<.01);In comparison with untreated control group,ABZ+IFN-αgroup showed a more significant decrease in the levels of IgE,IgG and its subtypes(p<.01).Conclusions:In this study,the combination of ABZ with IFN-αwas proved to be an effective CE treatment option.

BACKGROUNDParagonimiasis is a typical food-borne zoonotic disease. Hosts acquire Paragonimusinfection through the ingestion of raw or undercooked crayfish and *** clinical manifestations of the disease are varied, and it is often misdiagnosedor missed. The diagnosis of paragonimiasis should be considered *** is the first choice for treatment, and albendazole can beused in combination with repeated courses in severe *** SUMMARYWe report a case of liver paragonimiasis that was misdiagnosed as an abscess. Thepatient presented with fatigue and poor appetite for 2 months, and was diagnosedwith liver abscess in the local hospital. After 6 months, the patient visited ourhospital because of recurrent abdominal pain and was diagnosed with liverparagonimiasis based on epidemiological history, clinical presentations, andlaboratory findings. He was treated with praziquantel (25 mg/kg) three times aday for 3 days;however, the symptoms still presented after treatment. He wastreated with oral praziquantel and albendazole for one further course. Follow-upsuggested that the treatment was effective and the symptoms *** combination of albendazole and praziquantel may improve the therapeuticefficacy of paragonimiasis.

1981年9月~11月在新疆对感染蛔虫、鞭虫、蛲虫或短膜壳绦虫的65名6~13岁、男、女维、汉、壮族儿童,用丙硫苯咪唑一次口服400毫克作驱虫治疗。对蛲虫感染有良好的治疗效果,服药后连续三次胶纸法检查,虫卵阴转率可达100％。连续三次直接涂片、浓集及加藤法检查蛔虫,虫卵阴转率为97.5％,不论是轻度感染(346卵/克粪便)或重度感染(109,026卵/克粪便)都可收到良好治疗效果。短膜壳绦虫卵阴转率为21.0％。对鞭虫无效。不能抑制蛔虫卵的发育亦无杀灭作用。服药后副作用发生率为29.23％(19/65),皆为
