West Nile virus(WNV)causes West Nile fever and West Nile encephalitis.Because infection by WNV creates serious public health problems,its simple,rapid,and visual detection is very important in clinical practice,especially in resource-limited laboratories.We have developed a rapid,specific,and highly sensitive internally controlled reverse transcription recombinase-aided amplification(RTRAA)assay to detect WNV,using both real-timefluoresce nee and the lateral flow dipstick(LFD)at39.0°C for 30 min.The analytical sensitivity of theRT-RAA assay was 10 plasmid copies and 1.6 pfu perreacti on with real-time fluoresce nee,and 1,000plasmid copies per reaction with the LFD.No crossreactionwith other control viruses was observed.Compared with the RT-qPCR assay,the RT-RAA assaydemonstrated 100%sensitivity and 100%specificityfor WNV.

Regarding flowing granular media as weak transverse isotropic media, the phase velocity expressions of wave P, wave SH and wave SV were deduced, the propagation characteristics of waves in flowing granular media were analyzed. The experiments show that vibration has great influence on granular fluidity. The wavefront of wave P is elliptic or closely elliptic, the wavefront of wave SH is elliptic, and the wavefront of wave SV is not elliptic. Wave propagation in the granular flowing field attenuates layer after layer. The theory and experiment both substantiate that the density difference is the key factor which leads to the attenuation of vibrating energy. In terms of characteristics of wave propagation one can deduce that vibrating waves have less influence on flowability of granules when the amplitude and frequency are small. However, when the amplitude and frequency increase gradually, the eccentricity of ellipsoid, the viscosity resistance and inner friction among granules, and shear intensity of granules decrease, and the loosening coefficient of granules increases, which shows the granules have better flowability.

Aiming to increase the efficiency of gem design and manufacturing, a new method in computer-aided-design (CAD) of convex faceted gem cuts (CFGC) based on Half-edge data structure (HDS), including the algorithms for the implementation is presented in this work. By using object-oriented methods, geometrical elements of CFGC are classified and responding geometrical feature classes are established. Each class is implemented and embedded based on the gem process. Matrix arithmetic and analytical geometry are used to derive the affine transformation and the cutting algorithm. Based on the demand for a diversity of gem cuts, CAD functions both for free-style faceted cuts and parametric designs of typical cuts and visualization and human-computer interactions of the CAD system including two-dimensional and three-dimensional interactions have been realized which enhances the flexibility and universality of the CAD system. Furthermore, data in this CAD system can also be used directly by the gem CAM module, which will promote the gem CAD/CAM integration.

The electromagnetic parameters of microwave absorbing materials are important criteria when appraising the properties of absorbents. For reconstruction of parameters which belongs to the inverse scattering problem, the test data in requirement of traditional impedance method are "just enough" and not "redundant" to comprehensively evaluate the electromagnetic properties of materials. A novel optimization approach involving multiple impedance measurements is introduced in this paper to implement automatic measurement for electromagnetic parameters on microwave slot-line. Some results for standard samples and microwave absorbing materials are given.

Computer aided process planning system played a key role for integrating design and manufacturing or assembly systems properly considering available resources and design constraints.To take advantage of the enterprise resource,the web CAPP framework was established.Case based reasoning and multi agent system were integrated in the system.The multi agent mecha- nism was discussed in the paper.And an instance of case base was introduced.They made the system run independently and contin- uously in the network environment of process planning problems.

The design of map color is an important part in map design, especially for thematic mapping, importance is no less than that of map content itself.Tranditional method in map color design is to make several designing variants and then make a comparison among them and finally choose one of them.This method is time-consuming and rather expensive.With the development of interactive computer graphics,now the design of map color can be completed by means of computer processing. During this procedure, cartographer’s knowledge in map design, rich color in computer and the powerful functions of graphic processing of computer can be combined together. Three main problems about comprter-aided design of map color are discussed in this paper: The first is to create a database which forms the basis of color producing; the second is to create a cartographic database for organized raster data; the third is to design an interactive svstem for the design of map color with the support of the two databases mentioned above.

An approximation method for curved surface mannequin and hidden surface eliminationin 3-D computer aided garment design system is described. The mannequin is the basis of the3-D modeling for clothes. In terms of the requirements of computer aided garment design,the authors put forward a method for curved surface approximation in the meaning of leastsquares. Using. this method the computation of geometric modeling is simple andefficient. It is also convenient for curved surface modification and shading.
