Real-time monitoring of optimum timing for harvesting fresh tea leaves based on machine vision

The harvesting time of fresh tea leaves has a significant impact on product yield and *** aim of this study was to propose a method for real-time monitoring of the optimum harvesting time for picking fresh tea leaves based on machine ***,the shapes of fresh tea leaves were distinguished from RGB images of the tea-tree canopy after graying with the improved B-G algorithm,filtering with a median filter algorithm,binary processing with the Otsu algorithm,and noise reduction and edge smoothing using open and close *** the leaf characteristics,such as leaf area index,average length,and leaf identification index,were *** on these,the Bayesian discriminant principle and method were used to construct a discriminant model for fresh tea-leaf collection *** this method was applied to a RGB tea-tree canopy image acquired at 45°shooting angle,the fresh tea-leaf recognition rate was 90.3%,and the accuracy for fresh tea-leaf harvesting status was 98%by cross ***,this method provides the basic conditions for future tea-plantation operation and management using information technology,automation,and intelligent systems.

Model construction of soybean average diameter and hole parameters of seed-metering wheel based on DEM

To satisfy the demands of soybean precision sowing,this article starts with statistics of the physical parameters of soybean seeds in Heilongjiang province,*** filling process of soybean seeds was analyzed,and the ratio relationship between the diameter,depth,chamfer length of seed-metering wheel’s holes and the mean diameter of soybean seeds was *** was used to simulate seeding circumstances of hole seed-metering wheel with different holes’*** hole diameter ratio,hole depth ratio,and chamfer length ratio were the test factors,while the percentage of single multiple and the empty seeds were test *** triple quadratic regression orthogonal rotation combination test was designed,and the mathematical model between test indexes and test factors was *** showed that the influence of hole diameter ratio and hole depth ratio was significant(p0.05).The chamfer length ratio was 0.15,the hole diameter ratio was 1.63-1.73,the hole depth ratio was 0.81-1.20,the quality of seeding index was more than 90,and multiple and missing indexes were less than 6%and 4%,*** soybean hole wheel seeding device was produced under the optimal parameter combination,to perform a comparative verification test with non-optimized *** test showed anastomotic simulation results,verified the validity of the *** seeding device after optimization expressed the best operating performance,which might satisfy the demands of soybean precision *** study results can provide a theoretical reference for the optimization design of soybean seeding devices.

To improve the uniformity of the flow when fertilizer apparatus discharges fertilizer,a kind of fertilizer apparatus owned arc gears was ***,the design and working principle of its general structure and key components were analyzed *** at exploring the influence of arc structural parameters to the performance of arc gears discharging fertilizer,DEM simulation was used in this *** apparatus owned arc gears was taken as the research object to analyze the influence of two key components including the arc radius of gears’concave-grooves and the minimal length between two mutual meshing *** variation coefficient of fertilizer discharging amount stability and the linear determined coefficient of fertilizer discharging amount in unit time as evaluation index were *** factors and five levels quadratic rotation orthogonal experiment was applied,and Design-Expert 8.0 software was used to achieve data processing and *** results of experiment indicated that the arc radius of gears’concave-grooves had significant effect on the linear determined coefficient of fertilizer discharging amount in unit time,and the minimal length between two mutual meshing gears had significant effect on the variation coefficient of fertilizer discharging amount *** optimum structural parameters were 8.54 mm as the arc radius of gears’concave-grooves and 5.22 mm as the minimal length between two mutual meshing *** this circumstance,the variation coefficient was 0.28 and determination coefficient was *** optimum apparatus was selected to conduct the bench test and field simulation *** results indicated that the variation coefficient is 0.27,and the linear determined coefficient of is *** results of simulation experiment were anastomotic basically with the real result,which showed that DEM simulation technology was usable to the experiment of testing fertilizer *** results of this research can

Propellants of mechanical pruning and plucking of tea (a case of developing countries)

Tea is one of the most widely consumed natural beverages in the *** costs of tea pruning and plucking is among the main challenges of its production in Iran as a developing ***,the development of mechanical pruning and plucking of tea bushes is unavoidable to ensure its sustainable *** this respect,the present study was carried out in Guilan Province as the leading tea producing region of Iran using Delphi technique in order to identify and analyze the driving factors of the development of tea pruning and plucking mechanization in *** consultation with the academic faculty members in Guilan Province,to formthe research panel,30 experts of tea mechanization were identified and selected from the Tea Organization of Iran,Tea Research Center,and Agriculture Agencies of main tea producing regions of Guilan *** results revealed that“Publicizing the benefits of consumption of the domestic tea”,“supporting tea making industries to modernize their systems”,“Reduced prices of domestic and imported mechanical tea equipments by subsidy payment and reduction of tariffs on imports”,“quantitative and qualitative improvement of tea green leaves through applying new agronomic methods and modern irrigation systems”,and“Devoting special bank loans to execute tea mechanization plans”were the most important driving factors of the development of tea pruning and plucking mechanization in Guilan Province as agreed upon by 96.78,95.89,95,95,and 91.42%of panel members,***,recommendations were put forth to help the development of tea pruning and plucking mechanization in Guilan Province.

Considering the current low level of mechanization for domestic green onion planting and the high labor intensity of artificial planting,a 2ZYX-2 green onion ditching and transplanting machine,which can complete ditching,ridging,transplanting,repression,soil covering and other operations,is designed in this *** Central Composite test design method was carried out with the speed of the transplanting machine,the depth of the opener and the horizontal position of the opener as the experimental factors and with the qualification ratio of perpendicularity,the variation coefficient of the plant spacing and the qualification ratio of the planting depth as the test *** the analysis of the model interaction and response surface,the change laws that the influence the machine’s forward speed,the depth of the opener and the horizontal position of the opener were *** regression model was optimized by Design-Expert 8.0.6 software,and the accuracy of the predicted results was verified by *** optimal working parameters showed that the forward speed of the machine was 0.06 m/s,the depth of the opener was 102 mm,and the horizontal position of the opener was 29 *** conditions of optimal working parameters,the qualification rate of the verticality was 86.83%,the coefficient of variation for the plant spacing was 2.77,and the pass rate of planting depth was 88.26%.The research related to the thesis can provide a reference for the mechanized planting of green onion,which is of great significance to the cost-effectiveness of the green onion industry.

Improved design and test of flexible cotton stalks puller

In Xinjiang,in the process of whole stalk harvesting of cotton stalks,there is a problem that the cotton stalks are easily pulled off,and there is an urgent need to develop flexible stalk-pulling *** literature,patent summary,and field research,it is found that domestic researchers have designed many kinds of machines for the problem of easy breaking of cotton stalks,but there is no flexible cotton stalk-pulling machine for the time *** this study,two flexible cotton stalk-pulling machines were intended to address the problem of easy breakage of cotton *** the basis of the first-generation machine,the design of the second-generation machine was *** order to further improve the operational performance of the flexible cotton stalks pulling tools,the operational mechanism of the core working parts of the tools was analyzed and a comparative test was done in a large *** and the comparative tests proved that improving the clamping working stroke s of the stalk-pulling components can effectively reduce the cotton stalks leakage *** using a flexible clamping process,a part of the deformation of cotton stalks can be transferred to the flexible *** a certain extent,the deformation length L of the contact surface between the cotton stalk and the stalk pulling part is reduced,and the deformation displacementΔy is correspondingly *** toughness of the cotton stalk is not significantly decreased and the cotton stalk does not break *** improved second-generation machine has a 3.67% to 3.79% lower cotton stalks leakage rate and a 5.65% to 6.30% lower cotton stalks breakage rate than the first-generation *** the land in Xinjiang is clay soil,soil bonding to cotton stalks pulling force F2 is larger,resulting in cotton stalks being more difficult to be pulled out of the machine at *** test proved that the improved second-generation implements had a significant improvement in the cotton stalk-pulling effect

In order to improve soil fertility and fertilizer utilization,a subsoiling variable rate fertilization machine based on conservation tillage and precision agriculture was designed and *** relationship between suspension parameters and penetrating distance was analyzed,and a matching model between fertilizing quantity and penetrating distance was *** variable rate fertilization control machine was developed based on an Advantech PCM-9363 industrial control *** machine operates under two patterns:DGPS-based positioning and straight-line path positioning based on a planar coordinate *** machine can perform on-demand fertilization according to the spatial differences in soil nutrients and the prescription maps pre-set before the *** experiments showed the machine has a subsoiling stability of 92.5%,a soil breaking rate of 61.1%,a maximum positioning relative error of 2.68%and a maximum variable rate fertilization error of 3.89%.The subsoiling performance and variable rate fertilization indices of this machine satisfy the requirements of GB/*** tested indices meet the national and industrial standards and satisfy the design *** findings of the research can be used as the structural design of the subsoiling variable rate fertilization machine.

In order to address the problem of citrus seedling pot filling and transporting which is time-consuming and labor-intensive in China,a scheme for seedling pot filling and placing was proposed,and a self-propelled citrus seedling pot filling and placing machine was designed which can fill and place 48 pots at one ***,the rotary hopper door mechanism was designed,the movement of the hopper door was analyzed,and the connection between the opening size and the movement time of the hopper door was ***,the transmission system of the machine was designed,the power consumption of the hopper movement and substrate stirring were calculated,and the power requirement of the transmission system was *** lifting structure of the seedling pots frame was analyzed,the size of the flipping structure of the cover plate was calculated,and the seedling pots frame was *** that,the substrate flow rate curve was measured through the substrate flow rate experiments,and the hopper-controlled movement speed was ***,the experimental prototype was manufactured and *** test results indicate that the filling number of pots was 48 one time,the filling time was 30 s,and the seedling pots were fully filled and placed in *** average filling mass of the seedling pots was 2.23 kg,and the average mass variation coefficient was 2.7%.The substrate mass which is scraped out is 0.81 kg,accounting for 0.76%of the total filling mass at one *** designed machine had a reasonable structure and high filling *** reseach can provide a reference for the development and optimization of the citrus seedling pots filling and transporting machine.

Smartphone based precise monitoring method for farm operation

Although Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)terminal has been widely used for fleet management,it cannot satisfy the need of managing changes of laborer and implement during farm operation,which are important for social service cooperatives comparing to family farms in *** objective of this study was to explore a precise,low cost and easy-to-use method for vehicle fleet management of large scale farm machinery cooperatives.A smartphone based application software(APP)named Precise Monitoring System(PMS)was developed to record the farm operation information including tractor,implement and laborer by scanning their Quick Response codes(QR codes),and obtain real time GNSS positions by using built-in GNSS chip of *** the convenience usage for farmers,only two buttons,“start/pause/continue”and“stop”were designed to record farm operation ***,IDs,positions and operation status were combined and transferred to the server through GPRS/3G/*** kinds of experiments were designed and conducted to verify the *** results showed that PMS can realize the basic functions such as precise and real-time monitoring,operation quality tracing,operation mileage and operation area calculating,and U-turn *** method and APP could record complex combination of production factors precisely and accurately,which is suitable for the management of vehicle fleet,and can replace GNSS terminal to some extent.

Design of an active seed throwing and cleaning unit for pneumatic rice seed metering device

To address the clogging of the rice seed metering device after a long period of operation without affecting the precision of normal seeding,an active seed throwing and cleaning unit was designed based on the fact that magnets of the same pole were mutually *** working principle of the two devices was analysed theoretically,and a mechanical model was created according to the relationship between the repulsion forces of magnets and the spring forces of *** super hybrid rice Y-2 You 900 with 22.5%moisture content(wet basis)was used as the test *** whole factor experiments were carried out under different negative pressures,rotational speeds of the suction plates,and lengths of *** results indicated that under any test conditions,the active seed throwing and cleaning unit worked *** results of high-speed photography showed that the rate of seed cleaning was 100%.The results also showed that the optimal negative pressure was 0.8 *** probability of 1-3 seeds per hill for the seed metering device was approximately 95%under the optimal negative *** optimal length of the probe was found to be 2 *** average qualified rate of hill space was 96.04%under the optimal length of probe,the longer the length of the probe,the lower the qualified rate of hill *** also showed that an active seed throwing and cleaning unit could effectively avoid the hole clogging caused by the long-term operation and had no influence on the normal operation of the pneumatic rice seed metering *** active seed throwing and cleaning unit improved the stability of the seed metering device,and the research provided a reference for the optimal design of seed throwing and cleaning structures of the pneumatic rice seed metering device.
