The separation of ownership and management of companies results in agency problems between shareholders and management to some *** Western countries,shareholders usually actively participate in the company’s management and monitor management issues in order to enhance the company’s *** present,China’s securities market,as well as institutional investors are undergoing a rapid development,while problems of governance among listed companies in China have been negatively affecting the development of capital *** investors have developed to form a certain ***,national policies,as well as the split-share structure reform,further encourage the growth of institutional investors,and their active participation in corporate governance in order to better promote the development of capital markets.A great deal of research pertains to the effects of shareholder activism on corporate performance in Western ***,research on shareholder activism in China is ***,chances are that in some specific Chinese regions and industries circumstances are unique,in which the well-established theories cannot be effectively ***,this paper empirically analyzes the correlation between shareholder activism and corporate performance so as to examine how effective China’s institutional investors participate in the governance of listed *** paper empirically tests the impact of shareholder activism on corporate *** this paper,an unbalanced panel data set consisting of observation is ***,in order to insure validity of results,a series of preliminary tests are ***,Panel data method and robustness check are performed for empirical ***,the result of the empirical tests shows that there is a positive correlation between Chinese institutional shareholding ratio and corporate performance of listed *** indicates that shareholder activism can definite

How is English Christmas panto community activism？ The structure of pantomime has not changed in a hundred years, but allows for local creativity to work within its framework to be both family entertainment and social satire This basic structure is founded on a children＇s story like Puss ＇n ＇boots or Cinderella. The story and character types remain the same; but the community can add their own jokes and commentary to make the play relevant to themselves and their community. What is added by the community says a lot about who they are and what they care about. The company Price-Waterhouse-Coopers produces their pantomime as management training and team building while engaging the community. The Basel Swiss panto raises money for African Charities. The Maplewood, NJ panto raises money for the homeless and the Jaguar Charity panto in Birmingham performs to disadvantaged children and adults. The productions can be extravagant or threadbare, but share the same goal of raising cheer and goodwill to the benefit of the community. What is it, then, about panto that brings a community together in such civic mindedness？

A potential global power transition characterized by emerging economies of BRICS where China is the likely leading contender against the United States as the only global hegemon seems *** increasingly multipolar world is evidenced by the attention given to right-wing populism in Europe and USA attributed to China’s aggressive approach to international trade through its stealth entry and subsequent investments in global ***’s presence in Africa and Trump’s America first policy’s attempt to open“new business frontiers”in emerging economies of Asia and Africa in order to contain Chinese influence and threat in global hegemony are interesting happenstances that require closer ***,the biggest economy in East Africa,which is among the fastest growing regions globally,is the gateway to the East African Common ***,Kenya has a policy of non-alignment in international relations making it possible to receive FDI from both China and the US but with highly contested ***,Kenya presents a perfect laboratory for examining the emerging power-shift in global political-economy as the country grapples with traditionally chaotic electoral power transitions and the two biggest economies in the world compete for business in *** 2017 elections not only betrayed the international community’s commitment to Western values of human rights and democracy,but also revealed the challenges of governance in post-World War II global liberalism characterized by sophisticated media institutional spaces.

This work aims to investigate the phenomenon of media activism in the social network of Facebook with organizedreligious groups. The three groups indicated keep the participation system closed and, for this, they need theapproval of the respective administrators. Three groups were chosen, they are： Amor a Nossa Senhora Aparecida eA lgreja Cat61ica, Irmaos Verdadeiros e Abadiania. For the elaboration of this research was used as method thecontent analysis of the posts of the religious groups of Facebook and, through this research, the contents werecategorized and classified according to the approach of each one. The period of analysis was between January 1,2017 andJanuary 15, 2017.

In the Post-Independence era,the prolific playwrights of India started using the aesthetic form of theater to contest authoritarian structures,and to voice their antiestablishment *** Dutt,a pioneering figure in Modern Indian Theater,used the medium of drama for propaganda and political conscientization of the *** indefatigable thespian contributed significantly towards the formation of modern Bengali theater,as his plays voiced his intransigent protest against the authoritarian government and concurrently,showed his impressive experimentation with different dramatic techniques,theatrical devices and theatrical ***'s anti-establishment play,Nightmare City presents a fastidious account of the turbulent years of late-1960s and early-1970s Bengal gripped by Naxalite violence and police *** against the backdrop of Naxalite insurgency,the play savagely exposes the ideological hypocrisy of the autocratic government leaders of the time and their violent ***,the playwright,in sync with his earlier plays,has not only portrayed the tumultuous sociopolitical ambiance of the 70s Calcutta,but has also constructed a soul-shattering voice of resistance to the political oppressions perpetuated by the state *** objective of this paper is to study the revolutionary propaganda of Dutt and redefine his concept of"political theater"with special reference to his intricately structured political satire,Nightmare City.

Objective:Baccalaureate degree curricula consist of several professional values required for nursing students,which are taught in many *** study aimed to explore the perception of baccalaureate Jordanian nursing students regarding professional values and to assess the relationship between students’demographics and their perception of professional ***:The study design was a descriptive,cross-sectional correlational design.A convenience sample of 182 Jordanian undergraduate nursing students enrolled at one of the most prominent universities in Jordan who completed and submitted a self-administered Nurses’Professional Values Scale(NPVS)was considered for this ***:The NPVS total score ranged from 37 to 130,with a relatively high total score mean(99.68 with a mean of 3.83 out of 5).The highest score domain in NPVS was“Justice”with a mean of 3.97,while the lowest ranked domain was“activism”with a mean of *** correlation coefficient showed no statistically significant correlation between age nor accumulative students’average with a total score of Nurses Professional Values Scale-revised(NPVS-R)and its *** t test results showed that gender and type of students’enrollment(regular ***)did not affect the means of NPVS-R and its *** differences were found to be statistically significant between the means of first year students and fourth year students in the total score of ***:Findings of the study alert nursing educators to pay more attention to the importance of promoting the values related to“activism”and“professionalism”among nursing *** for enhancing the roles of peer supervision and providing peer review to colleagues would contribute to improving nursing students’performance and raising self-awareness because when nursing educators pay more attention to the items of these domains,better future nursing professionals,leaders,and researchers can be ***,understanding nursin

Since its origins as a grassroots movement in the 1960s, the fair trade movement has found a consistent, reliable base of support from various Christian churches, ministries, and organizations. This article reviews coverage of fair trade in several of the most prominent, U.S.-based Christian publications between 2006 and 2016 to identify the distinct ways in which Christian themes and language are interpolated within broader framings of fair trade. In particular, it addresses certain tensions between Christian concepts like ＂global missions＂ and ＂evangelism＂ in relation to a market-driven flaming of fair trade as a Robin Hood-like means of redistributing income from the consuming [global] North to producers in the South. The article also describes the unique role of gender throughout the coverage in these publications. Finally, it explains how a particularly pro-capitalist Protestant formulation described as ＂Calvinist social piety＂ informs the ways in which Christian publications frame fair trade.

When a child is diagnosed with an eating disorder, parents are expected to help the child recover. Yet, parents often feel under-prepared and alone, their experiences inadequately known to healthcare professionals. The research aim was to examine the meaning to parents of caring for a child with an eating disorder. Qualitative interviews with 29 parents were analyzed and the parents’ experiences were represented by a collective story of loving her into well-being one day at a time which consisted of two themes: Running on nerves and caring through transformational activism. Running on nerves included threads of feeling lost, traumatized, scarred, and disengaged that mitigated as parents engaged in transformational activism processes directed toward helping themselves, their child, and other parents and children. The findings illustrate the importance of hearing parents’ stories in order to create supportive healing environments and to build capacity within families and health care systems.
