The infinite generator of α-times Integrated C semigroups and the properties of resolvent are given. At the same time, we discuss the relationship between the existence of strong solution of a class of nonhomogeneous abstract Cauchy problem and α-times integrated C semigroups, and a sufficient and necessary condition is obtained.

Characteristics of the series of severe geomagnetic storms generated by severalextraodinarily large solar flares occured in a super active region(5395) in March 1989 areanalyzed in this paper in association with the location and importance of parent *** storm series consisted of at least four independent storms. The most reasonable par-ent flares for these storms can be selected from the flares with optical importance equalto or greater than 2B, X-ray classification being X, and duration longer than 1.5 hours.

It intends to explore characteristics of Chinese undergraduate students’ English abstract by analyzing the most common problemsoccurred in their writing. Some tentative strategies are also provided accordingly to improve the current situation. Corpus approach isadopted to examine the length, structure and linguistic feature of selected abstracts and a statistical interpretation is also given. It reveals thatsome abstracts fail to meet the word limit of the requirement.
