Carbon-nitrogen(C-N)bond formation reactions are fundamentally important for the synthesis of N-contained compounds,which are important fine chemicals,pharmaceuticals,agrochemicals,dyes and functionalized *** amines has traditionally been achieved either from the nucleophilic substitution of alkyl halides with primary amines,hydrogenation of imines,reductive amination of carbonyl compounds,metal-catalyzed amination of aryl *** N-alkylated anilines using alcohols as alkylation reagents can avoid the use of potentially hazardous oxidation or reducing reagents,formation of salt *** are environmentally benign,cheap,abundant feedstocks and are easier to *** is the only ***,we have found that Ru Cl efficiently catalyzed N-alkylation of nitroarenes and methylazaarenes using alcohols as alkylating agents in the absence of any additional *** this paper,we report ruthenium nanoparticles(NPs)supported on N-doped carbon(Ru/N-C)are prepared by the pyrolysis of Ru(phen)Cl loaded onto the porous carbon at ***/N-C materials are able to selectively catalyze either acceptorless dehydrogenation coupling(ADC)or auto-transfer-hydrogen(ath)reaction of amines and alcohols to imines and secondary *** is controlled by the choice of the alklali metal cation from the *** catalytic system also displays high activity,good recyclability,and wide applicability to diverse substrates.
