Based on the data of a-class scenic spots in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and with the help of arcgis10.2 software,this paper analyzes the spatial structure characteristics of a-class scenic spots in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by using geographic concentration index,Gini coefficient,nuclear density intensity,scale index and superiority index.The results show that the total number of a-class scenic spots in Inner Mongolia is small,the distribution of scenic spots in the East and West is significantly different,and there is significant imbalance in space.the number of high-class scenic spots in the autonomous region is small and the spatial distribution is highly centralized.Hu-Bao-E area is the core area of a-class scenic spots in Inner Mongolia.Both the nuclear density and the scale are at a high level,and the concentration of high-class scenic spots has obvious scale advantages;the superiority of a-class scenic spots in each city is generally low,only Ordos,Hulunbuir and Alxa League are higher than the average,and the development potential of tourism resources is large.
