To study the effects of invigorating Qi,removing blood stasis and tonidrying the kidney on expression of IIcollagen mRNA inside the degenerated intervertebral discs Methods:42healthyadult New Zealand rabbits were randomly and equally divided into 7grorps ,They were Group I designed to invigorate Qi,remove blood stasis and tonify the kidney;GroupII to invigorate Qi and remove blood stasis;GroupII to tonify the kidney,GroupIV to relivev inflammation and pain;Group V,the moldel group and Group VI,the normal control group,Amodel of degenerated cervical vertebra were prepared through the staric dysequitlibrium methods The genetic expression Each slice being analyzed withCMIAS-008pathologic image analysis system,Results:The expression of II collagen mRNA in uncleus pulposus in the intervertebral discs in the normal control group was markedly higher than that in Group V and GroupIV(P<0.01),and some significant dirfference was showed when compared with Group II and Group III(P<0.05),The therapy for Group Iplayed a significant role in enhancing the expression of II collagen mRNA of disc tissues ,there waf quite markedly differeence when compared with Group II and III(P<0.05)and very significant difference with GroupIV andV(P<0.01),The theapies of Group II and IIIexerted some good effect on the expression of II collagen mRNA of nucleus pulposus with the two groups showing no significat difference trom the statistics Conclusion:The expression of II collgen mRNA of nucleus pulposus of cervical intervertebral discs is obviously lower in the animals with cefrvical spondylosis than thant in the normal ones,The formula for Group I can improve the change of this expressin ,keeping it within the mormal state ,It can plqy an active role in delaying the degeneration of intervertebral discs.
