Self-reported participation restrictions in normal hearing individuals in thyroid ontogeny: Evidence of subclinical changes

Purpose: To verify evidence of subclinical alterations through self-reported participation restrictions in normal hearing individuals and congenital hypothyroidism ***: An analytical, quantitative, cross-sectional exploratory study with a 1:1 ratio, consisting of a convenience sample of 86 normal hearing individuals with(n = 42) and without(n = 44) congenital hypothyroidism diagnosis. All participants underwent tonal and speech audiometry, immitance and distortion product otoacoustic emissions. The researchers excluded people with hearing loss, genetic syndromes and metabolic diseases. The instrument used for evaluate of self-reported participation restrictions was the HHIE-adapted questionnaire, composed of 25 questions, 12 of which were social domain and 13 emotional domain. Student's ttest and chi-square test were used for statistical analysis at a significance level of 5%.Results: There was a significant(p < 0.001) self-reported participation restrictions in CH(61.9%), with a greater relevance for the social domain(p = 0.002). There was a greater frequency of mild/moderate(40.5%)and higher prevalence of association with clinical factors and adherence to ***: The findings indicate that self-reported participation restrictions in normal hearing individuals with congenital hypothyroidism was more significant than in the non-exposed group, suggesting evidence of subclinical auditory abnormalities in this population.

Objectives:To understand the differences in social isolation among older adults and to identify risks associated with social ***:Totally 485 participants aged 60 and older were recruited for this *** Lubben Social Network Scale-6 and the Chinese version of the Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey were used to measure social isolation and the different types of social support that the participants ***:The proportions of young elderly(60-74 years of age)and old elderly(greater than 74 years of age)that experienced social isolation in this study were 24.4%and 33.1%,*** the young elderly,three types of social support were observed to be protective factors to help avoid social isolation,and the positive effect of social support obtained from friends and neighbors was slightly stronger than that of family *** elderly with only a senior high school education background were at high risk of being socially *** support from friends was observed to be a protective factor for the old ***:The study indicated that different ages of older adults experienced different aspects of social *** propose that nursing interventions for the elderly should focus on individualized social support as a protective factor to help older adults avoid being socially isolated.

The major viral diseases that occur on rice plants in Zhejiang Province, eastern China, are stripe and rice black-streaked dwarf diseases. Rice stripe disease is only caused by rice stripe tenuivirus （RSV）, while rice black-streaked dwarf disease can be caused by rice black-streaked dwarf fijivirus （RBSDV） and/or southem rice black-streaked dwarf fijivirus （SRBSDV）. Here we review the characterization of these viruses, methods for their detection, and extensive surveys showing their occurrence and spread in the province.

Neutral hydrogen(Hi)is the fundamental component of the interstellar *** Galactic Plane Pulsar Snapshot(GPPS)survey is designed for hunting pulsars by using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST)from the visible Galactic plane within|b|≤10°.The survey observations are conducted with the L-band 19-beam receivers in the frequency range of 1.0-1.5 GHz,and each pointing has an integration time of 5 *** piggyback spectral data simultaneously recorded during the FAST GPPS survey are great resources for studies on the Galactic Hi distribution and ionized *** process the piggyback Hi data of the FAST GPPS survey in the region of 33°≤l≤55°and|b|≤2°.The rms of the data cube is found to be approximately 40 m K at a velocity resolution of 0.1 km s^(-1),placing it the most sensitive observations of the Galactic Hi by *** high velocity resolution and high sensitivity of the FAST GPPS Hi data enable us to detect weak exquisite Hi structures in the interstellar *** absorption line with great details can be obtained against bright continuum *** FAST GPPS survey piggyback Hi data cube will be released and updated on the web:http://***/Milky Way FAST/.

As one of the major components of the interstellar medium,the ionized gas in our Milky Way,especially the low-density diffuse component,has not been extensively observed in the radio *** Galactic Plane Pulsar Snapshot(GPPS)survey covers the sky area within the Galactic latitude of±10°around the Galactic plane visible by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST),and the spectral line data are simultaneously recorded during the pulsar survey *** an integration time of 5 min for each beam,the GPPS survey project provides the most sensitive piggyback spectra for tens of radio recombination lines(RRLs)in the band of 1000-1500 MHz for Hnα,Henα,Cnα,as well as Hnβand Hnγ.We processed the spectral data of RRLs,and obtained a sensitive averaged HnαRRL map of a sky area of 88 square degrees in the inner Galaxy of 33°≤l≤55°and∣b∣≤2°*** final spectral data of the HnαRRLs have a spatial resolution of∼3′,a spectral resolution of 2.2 km s^(−1),and a typical spectral RMS noise of 0.25 mJy beam−1 or 6.3 mK in main-beam brightness *** FAST GPPS HnαRRL observations are sensitive down to an emission measure of about 200 cm^(−6) pc if a 3σdetection limit is *** new HnαRRL map shows complex structural features dominated by a number of HII regions and large extended diffuse ionized gas *** detect about 94%of the known HII regions and confirm 43 WISE HII regions in the observed sky *** large HII regions or star-forming complexes in the distant outer Galaxy are resolved in the map of Hnα*** RRL features of the diffuse ionized gas are *** addition,the GPPS piggyback spectral-line data also provide sensitive detection for other kinds of RRLs,such as the Henα,Cnα,Hnβ,and Hnγ*** RRL data products of the GPPS survey will be published and updated at http://***/MilkyWayFAST/.

Background Evidence-based medicine has come into its second decade. How prepared clinicians are in practicing it in particular in developing countries remains unclear. Thus we conducted this survey of physicians in urban hospitals in China to determine the size of the gap between research evidence and physicians＇ knowledge and practice regarding antihypertensive drugs for primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases in *** A cross sectional survey by a face-to-face interview was conducted in 20 tertiary general hospitals in China in 2005. A total of 444 physicians （mostly cardiologists） in internal medicine who had treated at least one hypertensive patient in the past 12 months were invited for the interview on their perception of the cardiovascular risk of hypertension,the magnitude of the benefit of antihypertensive drugs, knowledge on the overall risk approach, first-line drugs used, the risk above which drug treatment is recommended, and knowledge on evidence-based *** A total of 444 of the 468 eligible physicians were successfully interviewed with a response rate of 94.9%. They estimated that a hypertensive man with an actual 5-year cardiovascular risk of 8.4% would have a 5-year cardiovascular risk of 40% （95% CI： 38% to 42%） if not treated, and have an absolute risk reduction and relative risk reduction from drug treatment by 20% （95% CI. 18% to 22%） and 39% （95% CI： 37% to 42%） respectively, as compared to 3.3% and 33%respectively shown in research evidence. On average, the physicians would recommend drug treatment at a number needed to treat （NNT） of 368 or smaller, as compared to the actual NNT of 50 for drug treatment in an average hypertensive Chinese. Fifty-five percent （95% CI： 50% to 59%） of them had never intently used the national hypertension guidelines. LAMOST-MRS-B is one of the sub-surveys of LAMOST medium-resolution(R~7500)spectroscopic *** aims at studying the statistical properties(e.g.,binary fraction,orbital period distribution,mass ratio distribution)of binary stars and exotic *** intend to observe about 30000 stars(10 mag≤G<14.5 mag)with at least 10 visits in five *** first planned to observe 25 plates around the galactic plane in *** the plates were reduced to 12 in 2019 because of the limitation of *** the same time,two new plates located at the high galactic latitude were added to explore binary properties influenced by the different *** this survey project,we set the identified exotic and low-metallicity stars with the highest observation *** the rest of the selected stars,we gave the higher priority to the relatively brighter stars in order to obtain high quality spectra as many as *** of49129 stars have been obtained in LAMOST-MRS-B field and released in DR8,of which 28828 and 3375 stars have been visited more than twice and ten times with SNR≥10,*** of the sources are B-,A-,and F-type stars with-0.6<[Fe/H]<0.4 *** also obtain 347 identified variable and exotic stars and about 250 stars with[Fe/H]<-1 *** measure radial velocities(RVs)by using 892233 spectra of the *** uncertainties of RV achieve about 1 km·s^(-1)and 10 km·s^(-1)for 95%of late-and early-type stars,*** datasets presented in this paper are available at http://***/10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00035.

Sky surveys represent one of the most important efforts to improve developments in astrophysics,especially when using new photometric bands. We are performing the Stellar Abundance and Galactic Evolution(SAGE) survey with a self-designed SAGE photometric system, which is composed of eight photometric bands. The project mainly aims to study the stellar atmospheric parameters of ～0.5 billion stars in ～12 000 deg2 of the northern sky, which mainly focuses on Galactic astronomy, as well as some aspects of extragalactic astronomy. This work introduces the detailed data reduction process of the test field NGC 6791, including the data reduction of single-exposure images and stacked multi-exposure images, and properties of the final catalog.

In this study, we employ machine learning to build a catalog of DB white dwarfs(DBWDs) from the LAMOST Data Release(DR) 5. Using known DBs from SDSS DR14, we selected samples of highquality DB spectra from the LAMOST database and applied them to train the machine learning *** the recognition procedure, we chose 351 DB spectra of 287 objects, 53 of which were new identifications. We then utilized all the DBWD spectra from both SDSS DR14 and LAMOST DR5 to construct DB templates for LAMOST 1 D pipeline reductions. Finally, by applying DB parameter models provided by D. Koester and the distance from Gaia DR2, we calculated the effective temperatures, surface gravities and distributions of the 3 D locations and velocities of all DBWDs.
