Due to the remarkable electronic,optical,thermal,and mechanical properties,graphene-based materials have shown great potential in a wide range of technique ***,the high transparency,conductivity,flexibility,and abundance make graphene materials highly attractive for polymer solar cells（PSCs）.Graphene-based materials have been regarded as one promising candidate used in various parts in PSCs not only as electrodes,but also as interfacial layers and active layers with an aim to boost the power conversion efficiency of the *** this review,we summarize the recent progress about the design and synthesis of graphene-based materials for efficient PSCs along with the related challenges and future perspectives.

In many indoor scenarios, such as restaurants, laboratories, and supermarkets, the planar floors are covered with rectangular tiles. We realized that the abundant parallel lines and crossing points formed by tile joints can be used as natural features to assist indoor localization, and thus we propose a novel indoor localization method for mobile robots by fusing odometry and monocular vision. The method comprises three steps. First, the heading and location of the mobile robot are approximately estimated by odometry based on incremental encoders. Second, with the aid of a camera, the lens of which points vertically toward the floor, the odometric heading estimation can be corrected by detecting the relative angle between the robot’s heading and the tile joints. Third, the odometric location estimation is corrected by detecting the perpendicular distance between the image center and the tile joints. As compared with the existing indoor localization methods, the proposed method, called floor vision aided odometry, is not only relatively low in economic cost and computational complexity, but also relatively high in accuracy and robustness. The effectiveness of this method is verified by a real-world experiment based on a differential-drive wheeled mobile robot.

A class of networked control systems is investigated whose communication network is shared with other applications. The design objective for such a system setting is not only the optimization of the control performance but also the efficient utilization of the communication resources. We observe that at a large time scale the data packet delay in the communication network is roughly varying piecewise constant, which is typically true for data networks like the Internet. Based on this observation, a dynamic data packing scheme is proposed within the recently developed packet-based control framework for networked control systems. As expected this proposed approach achieves a fine balance between the control performance and the communication utilization: the similar control performance can be obtained at dramatically reduced cost of the communication resources. Simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Water splitting is a highly promising approach for the generation of sustainable, clean hydrogen energy. Tremendous efforts have been devoted to exploring highly efficient and abundant metal oxide electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution and hydrogen evolution reactions to lower the energy consumption in water splitting. In this review, we summarize the recent advances on the development of metal oxide electrocatalysts with special emphasis on the structural engineering of nanostructures from particle size, composition, crystalline facet, hybrid structure as well as the conductive supports. The special strategies relay on the transformation from the metal organic framework and ion exchange reactions for the preparation of novel metal oxide nanostructures with boosting the catalytic activities are also discussed. The fascinating methods would pave the way for rational design of advanced electrocatalysts for efficient water splitting.

The direct coating of graphene sheets obtained by electrochemical exfoliation on commercial paper renders the preparation of highly conductive flexible paper substrate for subsequent deposition of polyaniline (PANi) nanorods via electrochemical polymerization. The deposit ion of PANi can be well-controlled by adjusting the electrochemical polymerization time, leading to the formation of PANi coated graphene paper (PANi-GP). The as-prepared electrode exhibited high areal capacitance of 176 mF cm^-2 in three-electrode system at a current density of 0.2 mA cm^-2 which is around 10 times larger than that of pris-tine graphene paper due to the pseudocapacitive behavior of PANi. In-situ Raman test was used to determine the molecular changes during redox process of PANi. More importantly, all-solid-state symmetric capacitor assembled with two PANi-GP electrodes in a polymer electrolyte delivered an areal capacitanee of 123 mF cm^-2, corresponding to an areal energy density of 17.1 μWh cm^-2 and an areal power density of 0.25 mW cm^-2. The symmetric capacitor held a capacitive retention of 74.8% after 500 bending tests from 0 to 120°, suggesting the good flexibility and mechanical stability. These results showed the great promising application in flexible energy-storage devices.

Vehicle emissions are a major source of urban air pollution, and therefore a real-time monitoring system can be very useful in analyzing such emission and consequently assisting the policy making process. In this work we discuss the principle and structure of three different types of remote sensing detectors, and also the key techniques to establish a networked remote sensing monitoring system. We finally conclude this paper with data analysis from some preliminary experiments.

In this paper, optimal filtering problem for a class of linear Gaussian systems is studied. The system states are updated at a fast uniform sampling rate and the measurements are sampled at a slow uniform sampling rate. The updating rate of system states is several times the sampling rate of measurements and the multiple is constant. To solve the problem,we will propose a self-tuning asynchronous filter whose contributions are twofold. First, the optimal filter at the sampling times when the measurements are available is derived in the linear minimum variance sense. Furthermore, considering the variation of noise statistics, a regulator is introduced to adjust the filtering coefficients adaptively. The case studies of wheeled robot navigation system and air quality evaluation system will show the effectiveness and practicability in engineering.

Rechargeable lithium-iodine (Li-I2) battery is a promising energy storage system because of the high energy and power density. However, the shuttle effects of iodine species and the unstable features of l2 block the practical applications of Li-I2 batteries. Herein, a dual heteroatom doped porous carbon cloth is fabricated as the host material for lithium iodide (Lil). Specifically, the self-standing nitrogen, phosphorus co-doped carb on cloth with high Lil loading exhibits a large specific capacity (221 mAh·g^-1 at 1 C), excelle nt rate capability (95.8% capacity rete ntion at 5 C) and superior I ong cycli ng stability (2,000 cycles with a capacity rete ntion of 96%). Electrochemical kin etic an alysis con firms the domi nant contribution of capacitive effects at high sean rates, which is responsible for the good high-rate performance. The improved electrochemical performance mainly stems from two unique features of nitrogen, phosphorus co-doped porous carbon cloth. Heteroatom doping provides extra active sites for strong adsorption of iodine species while the highly porous structure with large surface area favors the capacitive effects at high rates. This work provides a facile yet efficient approach to regulating both redox reaction and capacitive effects via adjusting surface composition and pore structure of carbon materials for en hanced battery performance.
