In this article,we evaluate the findings of the study by Qian et al,which explores the efficacy of combining hyperthermia with opioid therapy for enhanced cancer pain management in patients with middle and late-stage gastrointestinal *** study undertakes a retrospective analysis comparing traditional opioid therapy to an integrated approach of hyperthermia and opioids across 70 patients,highlighting significant benefits in pain control,reduction of opioid dosage,and minimization of adverse *** our article,we not only discuss these fin-dings but also emphasize the broader implications for clinical practice,parti-cularly in enhancing patient outcomes through innovative pain management *** advocate for further research to establish more robust data su-pporting this approach and to explore the mechanistic insights that enable these *** discussion reflects on the potential paradigm shift in managing debilitating cancer-related pain,urging a reevaluation of current practices to incorporate these findings effectively.

The increase in payload capacity of trucks has heightened the demand for cost-effective yet high performance brake *** this work,the thermal fatigue and wear of compacted graphite iron brake discs were investigated,aiming to provide an experimental foundation for achieving a balance between their thermal and mechanical *** graphite iron brake discs with different tensile strengths,macrohardnesses,specific heat capacities and thermal diffusion coefficients were produced by changing the proportion and strength of *** peak temperature,pressure load and friction coefficient of compacted graphite iron brake discs were analyzed through inertia friction *** morphology of thermal cracks and 3D profiles of the worn surfaces were also *** is found that the thermal fatigue of compacted graphite iron discs is determined by their thermal properties.A compacted graphite iron with the highest specific heat capacity and thermal diffusion coefficient exhibits optimal thermal fatigue *** of the matrix at low temperatures significantly weakens the function of alloy strengthening in hindering the propagation of thermal *** the reduced hardness,increasing the ferrite proportion can mitigate wear loss resulting from low disc temperatures and the absence of abrasive wear.

Objective: To study the effects of PDGF-Rb antagonists imatinib on endometrial injury repairing in the mouse model. Methods: The cultured MSCs cells from male mice were marked with Brd U in vitro, and then transplanted to the female mice which suffered from radiation injury through tail vein, PDGF-Rb antagonists imatinib was injected through abdominal cavity. Four groups were arranged, which were radiation transplantation group, normal control group, imatinib intervention group and radiation control group. Brd U incorporation, SRY expression and MVD status were detected in uterus of mice. Results: SRY gene was negative expressed in normal control group and radiation control group. SRY gene presented positive in radiation transplantation group and imatinib intervention group; Brd U incorporation showed negative in radiation control group and normal control group which died in the early stage in mice; the incorporation of Brd U was higher in radiation transplantation group compared with imatinib intervention group; CD34 was positive on the uterus of all the four groups,which showed highest in radiation control group and lowest in radiation control group; The MVD in imatinib intervention group was lower than radiation control group; the difference of MVD was significantly compared with normal control group(P<0.05). Conclusions: PDGF-Rb antagonists imatinib could inhibit the repairing function of MSCs in the endometrial lesions in mice.

This study was designed to investigate the protective effects of Astaxanthin(AST)in rats with diabetes mellitus(DM)induced by *** rats were divided into control group(n=5,only received normal saline),DM group(n=8)and AST+DM group(n=8;AST:50 mg/kg/day).DM rats were induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozocin(STZ,65 mg/kg).Blood glucose level and body weight were determined at weeks 0,2,4,6 and 8,*** week 8,kidney function was determined,together with expression of P53 and dynamin-related protein-1(Drp1)by Western blot analysis and *** led to increase of body weight in rats with ***+DM group showed a significant decrease in blood glucose level at week 4 compared with DM group(P<0.05).AST improved renal function and significantly reduced expression of P53 and Drp1 in DM *** addition,AST can effectively reduce the blood glucose in DM rats,and delayed the pathogenesis of diabetic *** delay mediated by AST may be associated with the downregulation of Drp1 and P53.

The utilization and development of tidal current energy can help alleviate the current energy shortage,improve the global ecological environment,and maintain sustainable *** this study,numerical simulation is carried out on a rectangular grid using *** tidal current energy potential of the major channels in the Bohai Strait is further simulated and estimated by comparing the simulated and measured *** show that the flow module in Delft3D has good modeling ability for the assessment of tidal current energy *** average flow velocity,maximum flow velocity,and energy flow density are *** Laotieshan Channel,located in the northern part of the Bohai Strait,shows a large tidal current energy *** maximum flow velocity of this channel can reach 2 m s-1,and the maximum energy flow density can exceed 500 W *** tidal current energy in the Laotieshan Channel is more than 10 times that in other ***,this study advocates for the continued exploration and exploitation of the tidal current energy resources in the Laotieshan Channel.

Seasonal variations in fouling diatom communities on the yantai coast

Fouling diatoms are a main component of biofilm,and play an important role in marine biofouling formation. We investigated seasonal variations in fouling diatom communities that developed on glass slides immersed in seawater,on the yantai coast,northern Yellow Sea,China,using microscopy and molecular techniques. Studies were conducted during 2012 and 2013 over 3,7,14,and 21 days in each season. The abundance of attached diatoms and extracellular polymeric substances increased with exposure time of the slides to seawater. The lowest diatom density appeared in winter and the highest species richness and diversity were found in summer and autumn. Seasonal variation was observed in the structure of fouling diatom communities. Pennate diatoms Cylindrotheca,Nitzschia,Navicula,Amphora,Gomphonema,and Licmophora were the main fouling groups. Cylindrotheca sp. dominated in the spring. Under laboratory culture conditions,we found that Cylindrotheca grew very fast,which might account for the highest density of this diatom in spring. The lower densities in summer and autumn might result from the emergence of fouling animals and environmental factors. The Cylindrotheca sp. was identified as Cylindrotheca closterium using18 S rDNA sequencing. The colonization process of fouling diatoms and significant seasonal variation in this study depended on environmental and biological factors. Understanding the basis of fouling diatoms is essential and important for developing new antifouling techniques.

BACKGROUND Currently,a variety of new nursing methods and routine nursing have been widely used in the nursing of gastrointestinal surgery *** To investigate the effect of follow-up protocol based on the Omaha System on self-care ability and quality of life of gastrointestinal surgery *** A total of 128 patients with inflammatory bowel disease in gastrointestinal surgery in gastrointestinal surgery from March 2019 to August 2021 were divided into A(n=64)and B(n=64)groups according to different nursing *** group A received a follow-up program Omaha System-based intervention of the group B,whereas the group B received the routine nursing *** Coping Modes Questionnaire,Crohn’s and Colitis Knowledge Score(CCKNOW),inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire(IBDQ),Exercise of Self-nursing Agency Scale(ESCA),The Modified Mayo Endoscopic Score,and Beliefs about Medicine Questionnaire(BMQ)were compared between the two *** Following the intervention,the group A were facing score significantly increased than group B,while the avoidance and yield scores dropped below of group B(all P<0.05);in group A,the level of health knowledge,personal care abilities,self-perception,self-awareness score and ESCA total score were more outstanding than group B(all P<0.05);in group A the frequency of defecation,hematochezia,endoscopic performance,the total evaluation score by physicians and the disease activity were lower than group B(all P<0.05);in the group A,the total scores of knowledge in general,diet,drug,and complication and CCKNOW were higher than group B(all P<0.05);in group A,the necessity of taking medicine,score of medicine concern and over-all score of BMQ were more significant than group B(all P<0.05);at last in the group A,the scores of systemic and intestinal symptoms,social and emotional function,and IBDQ in the group A were higher than group B(all P<0.05).CONCLUSION For gastrointestinal surgery patients,the Omaha System-ba

Objective:To study the relevance of EGFR gene mutation with pathological features and prognosis in patients with non-small-cell lung ***:A total of 297 patients from July 2009 to May 2013 were chosen as *** gene mutation were detected with fluorescence quantitative *** of EGFR gene mutation with clinical and pathological features was analyzed,and the prognosis of EGFR- mutant-patients and that of EGFR- wide type-patients was ***:In 297 patients.136(45.79%) showed EGFR gene *** gene mutation had no significant relevance with ***,smoking history,family history of cancer and clinical stage(P>0.05);there was significant relevance between EGFR gene mutation and blood type,pathologic types,differentiation and diameter of cancer(P<0.05).The difference between prognosis of EGFR- mutant-patients and that of EGFR- wide type-patients was statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions:EGFR gene mutation has significant relevance with pathological features,the prognosis of EGFRmutant-paticnts is better than that of EGFR- wide type-patients.
