Intramyocardial dissecting hematoma (IDH) is an uncommon complication of myocardial infarction that can potentially lead to cardiac rupture.^([1])Two distinguishable types of cardiac rupture have been identified:a simple tear,which is the most common case and is characterized by a lineal or tortuous tear along the myocardial wall,and complex hemorrhagic *** is generally classified as complex hemorrhagic dissection,in which blood infiltrates into the myocardial wall.^([2])IDH is characterized by a serpiginous tract within the myocardium,which is also known as subepicardial *** mechanisms of IDH are multifactorial and contribute to the rupture of intramyocardial vessels,diminished tensile strength of the infarcted myocardium.

In our previous study, we found that the edible alcohol extract of the root of the medicinal plant Rhodiola crenulata（RCE） improved spatial cognition in a rat model of Alzheimer＇s disease. Another study from our laboratory showed that RCE enhanced neural cell proliferation in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus and prevented damage to hippocampal neurons in a rat model of chronic stress-induced depression. However, the mechanisms underlying the neuroprotective effects of RCE are unclear. In the present study, we investigated the anti-apoptotic effect of RCE and its neuroprotective mechanism of action in a rat model of Alzheimer＇s disease established by intracerebroventricular injection of streptozotocin. The rats were pre-administered RCE at doses of 1.5, 3.0 or 6.0 g/kg for 21 days before model establishment. ATP and cytochrome c oxidase levels were significantly decreased in rats with Alzheimer＇s disease. Furthermore, neuronal injury was obvious in the hippocampus, with the presence of a large number of apoptotic neurons. In comparison, in rats given RCE pretreatment, ATP and cytochrome c oxidase levels were markedly increased, the number of apoptotic neurons was reduced, and mitochondrial injury was mitigated. The 3.0 g/kg dose of RCE had the optimal effect. These findings suggest that pretreatment with RCE prevents mitochondrial dysfunction and protects hippocampal neurons from apoptosis in rats with Alzheimer＇s disease.

Vis/NIR spectroscopy,in combination with partial least square(PLS)analysis and a back-propagation neural network,is investigated to identify endothelium corneum gigeriae galli(ECGG).The spectral features of ECGGs and their counterfeits are reasonably differentiated in vis/NIR region,which provides enough qualitative information to establish the relationship between the spectra and samples for *** pretreatment of the spectral data,cross validation is implemented for extracting the best number of principal *** the calibration and validation set are performed *** PLS and back propagation neural network(BPNN)model gives the BPNN to be 0.9941 and the root mean square residual(RMSR)to be 0.0775 for the calibration set,and the multiple correlation coefficient(MCC)to 0.9874 and the RMSE to 0.1134 for the validation *** the PLS and BPNN model is reliable and *** testing,a recognition accuracy of 100%is *** present study could offer a new approach for fast and nondestructive discrimination of ECGG and its counterfeit.

Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of acupoint autohemotherapy(A-AHT) on 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene(DNCB)-induced atopic dermatitis(AD) in mice focusing on regulating T helper 1/T helper 2(Th1/Th2) immune responses. Methods: Thirty BALB/c mice were divided into 5 groups by a random number table, including normal control(NC), AD model(AD), A-AHT, sham A-AHT(sA-AHT), and acupoint injection of normal saline(A-NS) groups, 6 mice per group. Mice were challenged by DNCB for the establishment of experimental AD model. On the 8th day, except for the NC and AD groups, the mice in the other groups received management once every other day for a total of 28 days. For the A-AHT and sA-AHT groups, 0.05 mL of autologous whole blood(AWB) was injected into bilateral Zusanli(ST 36) and Quchi(LI 11) and sham-acupoints(5 mm lateral to ST 36 and LI 11), respectively. The A-NS group was administrated with 0.05 m L of normal saline by acupoint injection into ST 36 and LI 11. Dermatitis severity for dorsal skin of mice was determined using the Severity Scoring of Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD) every week. The total immunoglobulin E(IgE), interleukin-4(IL-4), and interferon-gamma(IFN-γ) cytokine levels in serum were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Spleen Th1/Th2 expression were analyzed via flow cytometry and immunohistochemical assay was used to detect T-box expressed in T cell(T-bet) and GATA-binding protein 3(GATA3) expressions in skin lesions of mice. Results: Compared with the AD group, both A-AHT and sA-AHT reduced the SCORAD index and serum IgE level(P<0.05 or P<0.01);A-AHT, sA-AHT and A-NS down-regulated serum IL-4 level and upregulated IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio(P<0.05 or P<0.01);A-AHT regulated the Th1/Th2 shift specifically and increased the related transcription factors such as T-bet expression and T-bet/GATA3 ratio(P<0.05). Conclusion: A-AHT showed significant effectiveness on the AD model mice, through regulating Th1/Th2 immune responses.

A theoretical study on oligopeptide chains of glycine-alanine by density functional theory（DFT） is given in this paper. Raman spectra of the oligopeptide chains are examined. The geometric structures, frontier orbital, energy gap, atomic charge distribution, density of states and chemical activity of the side chain are studied at the B3LYP/6-31G（d） level. Results show that, with the number of residues increasing, vibrations of typical functional groups present Raman frequency shift, and the energy gap is gradually reduced. The HOMO and LUMO focus on the amino and carboxyl at the ends of oligopeptides. It is helpful for oligopeptides to self-assemble into chains. In addition, different residues（glycine or alanine） at the ends of chains result in the even-odd effect of orbital energy in the growth process. The size effects of physical and chemical properties only exist when the oligopeptides are shorter, and the phenomenon disappeared as the chain continues to grow.

BACKGROUND Alopecia areata is a hair loss disease associated with genetics,autoimmunity,and other *** is an intriguing link between alopecia areata and gut *** microbiota transplantation(FMT)has been recommended to treat Clostridium difficile(previously known as Clostridioides difficile)infection,and has also shown potentials in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease,irritable bowel syndrome,and non-alcohol fatty liver *** SUMMARY An 86-year-old man,with a history of sigmoid colon carcinoma,suffered from recurrent abdominal pain and distension,and diarrhea for six months,with *** admission,he was also diagnosed with *** physical examination,the patient presented with a 1.5 cm×2.0 cm alopecia areata on his right *** to the negative results of laboratory testing,capsule endoscopy,and colonoscopy,the patient was diagnosed with noninfectious diarrhea,depressive disorder,and patchy alopecia *** that noninfectious diarrhea in the elderly patient was mainly caused by gut dysbiosis,he was given six rounds of *** diarrhea improved remarkably one month after FMT,with improved appetite and disappearance of abdominal pain,distension,and depressive ***,he reported new hair growth on the affected region of his scalp,with some of his white hair gradually turning to black,without taking any other therapies for alopecia areata before and after *** FMT might act as a potential therapy for patients who suffer from alopecia *** and well-designed studies are required to confirm the role of FMT in alopecia areata.
