Highly elastic energy storage device based on intrinsically super-stretchable polymer lithium-ion conductor with high conductivity

Stretchable power sources,especially stretchable lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),have attracted increasing attention due to their enormous prospects for powering flexible/wearable *** recent advances,it is still challenging to develop ultra-stretchable LIBs that can withstand large *** particular,stretchable LIBs require an elastic electrolyte as a basic component,while the conductivity of most elastic electrolytes drops sharply during deformation,especially during large *** is why highly stretchable LIBs have not yet been realized until *** a proof of concept,a super-stretchable LIB with strain up to 1200%is created based on an intrinsically super-stretchable polymer electrolyte as the lithium-ion *** super-stretchable conductive system is constructed by an effective diblock copolymerization strategy via photocuring of vinyl functionalized 2-ureido-4-pyrimidone(VFUpy),an acrylic monomer containing succinonitrile and a lithium salt,achieving high ionic conductivity(3.5×10^(-4)mS cm^(-1)at room temperature(RT))and large deformation(the strain can reach 4560%).The acrylic elastomer containing Li-ion conductive domains can strongly increase the compatibility between the neighboring elastic networks,resulting in high ionic conductivity under ultra-large deformation,while VFUpy increases elasticity modulus(over three times)and electrochemical stability(voltage window reaches 5.3 V)of the prepared polymer *** a strain of up to 1200%,the resulting stretchable LIBs are still sufficient to power *** study sheds light on the design and development of high-performance intrinsically super-stretchable materials for the advancement of highly elastic energy storage devices for powering flexible/wearable electronics that can endure large deformation.

A large-scale clustering and 3D trajectory optimization approach for UAV swarms

With the significant development of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) technologies, a rapid increase on the use of UAV swarms in a wide range of civilian and emergency applications has been ***, how to efficiently network the large-scale UAVs and implement the swarms applications without infrastructure support in remote areas is challenging. In this paper, we investigate a hierarchal large-scale infrastructure-less UAV swarm scenario, where numerous UAVs surveil and collect data from the ground and a ferry UAV(Ferry UAV) is designated to carry back all their collected data. We can divide UAV swarms into different areas based on their geographic locations due to the wide range of surveillance. To improve data collection efficiency of Ferry UAV, we introduce a single super cluster head(Super-CH) UAV in each area which can be selected by the proposed modified k-means clustering algorithm with low latency. Then,we design an iterative approach to optimize the 3-dimensional(3D) trajectory of Ferry UAV such that its data collection mission completion time is minimized. Numerical results show the efficiency and low-latency of the proposed clustering algorithm, and the proposed 3D optimal trajectory design for large-scale UAV swarms data collection admits better performance than that with fixed altitude.

Light fidelity(LiFi),which is emerging as a compelling technology paradigm shifting the common means of highcapacity wireless communication technologies,requires wearable and full-duplex compact design because of its great significance in smart wearables as well as the‘Internet of Things’.However,the construction of the key component of wearable full-duplex LiFi,light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres,is still challenging because of the conflicting process between carrier separation and recombination,as well as the highly dynamic film-forming ***,we demonstrate light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres enabled by perovskite QDs with hybrid *** hybrid perovskite inks endow fibres with super-smooth QD ***,combined with the small exciton binding energy and high carrier mobility of perovskite QDs,enables successful integration of electroluminescence and photodetection into *** bifunctional fibres possess the narrowest electroluminescence full width at half maximum of ~19 nm and,more importantly,the capability for simultaneously transmitting and receiving *** successful fabrication of narrow emission full-duplex LiFi fibres paves the way for the fabrication and integration of low crosstalk interoperable smart wearables.

Broadband and sensitive two-dimensional halide perovskite photodetector for full-spectrum underwater optical communication

Full-spectrum underwater optical communication(UOC)is of great significance for major strategic needs including resource development,scientific exploration,and homeland *** the core of the full-spectrum UOC system,photodetectors(PDs)are plagued by stringent requirements including a broadband response,intrinsic water resistance,and a high *** this work,two-dimensional(2D)halide perovskites(HPs)and corresponding PDs are constructed by stearamine(SA),representing the rarely explored long-chain aliphatic amine series,to own waterproofness,ultralow noise,and superior optoelectronic performance,which consequently enable a high suitability for *** dimensionality and composition modulations to extend the absorption onset down to 1.5 eV,a broadband response covering the entire transmission window of water(>1.55 eV)for full-spectrum UOC can be ***,featuring a high responsivity of 3.27 A·W^(-1),a peak external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 630%,fast rise/decay times of 0.35 ms/0.54 ms,a superior detectivity up to 1.35×10^(12)Jones and the capability to distinguish various waveforms and light intensities,the PDs present sensitive and persistent photoresponse *** a result,proof-of-concept wireless transmission of ASCII codes in water is demonstrated.

Secure coverage-preserving node scheduling scheme using energy prediction for wireless sensor networks

With the fast development of the micro-electro-mechanical systems （MEMS）,wireless sensor networks （WSNs） have been extensively *** of the studies focus on saving energy consumption because of restricted energy supply in ***-based node scheduling scheme is commonly considered as one of the most energy-efficient ***,it is not always so efficient especially when there exist hot spot and network attacks in *** this article,a secure coverage-preserved node scheduling scheme for WSNs based on energy prediction is proposed in an uneven deployment *** scheme is comprised of an uneven clustering algorithm based on arithmetic progression,a cover set partition algorithm based on trust and a node scheduling algorithm based on energy *** results show that network lifetime of the scheme is 350 rounds longer than that of other scheduling ***,the scheme can keep a high network coverage ratio during the network lifetime and achieve the designed objective which makes energy dissipation of most nodes in WSNs balanced.

The analysis of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)allows a noninvasive method of“real-time liquid biopsy”from the blood samples of cancer patients for the diagnosis of early-stage cancer,prognosis,and monitoring therapeutic *** this study,we develop a simple,inexpensive,and reliable method that utilizes a small molecule peptide,the asparagine-glycine-arginine(NGR),as a capture probe for the selective enrichment and isolation of circulating tumor cells(CTCs).The multiscale TiO_(2) nanofibers are obtained by electrospinning and *** serum albumin(BSA)is decorated onto TiO_(2) nanofiber surfaces to inhibit non-target cell adhesion,while NGR peptides are conjugated onto the TiO_(2)-BSA surface through the glutaraldehyde(GA)to specifically capture the target *** TiO_(2)-BSA-NGR substrate exhibits a high capture sensitivity and efficiency from the mimical blood samples with PC-3 cancer cells as low as 10 cells/*** TiO_(2) nanofiber substrate can be a promising strategy for the capture and enumeration of CTCs in cancer progression monitoring.

Evaluation of hollow fiber T-type zeolite membrane modules for ethanol dehydration

This work presents the design of hollow fiber T-type zeolite membrane modules with different geometric configurations. The module performances were evaluated by pervaporation dehydration of ethanol/water mixtures. Strong concentration polarization was found for the modules with big membrane bundles. The concentration polarization was enhanced at high temperature due to the higher water permeation flux. The increase of feed flow could improve water permeation flux for the membrane modules with small membrane *** fluid dynamics was used to visualize the flow field distribution inside of the modules with different configurations. The membrane module with seven bundles exhibited highest separation efficiency due to the uniform distribution of flow rate. The packing density could be 10 times higher than that of the tubular membrane module. The hollow fiber membrane module exhibited good stability for ethanol dehydration.

Learning curve of totally thoracoscopic pulmonarysegmentectomy

Totally thoracoscopic pulmonary segmentectomy (TTPS) is a feasible and safe technique that requires advanced thoracoscopic skills and knowledge of pulmonary anatomy. However, data describing the learning curve of TTPS have yet to be obtained. In this study, 128 patients who underwent TTPS between September 2010 and December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed to evaluate the learning curve and were divided chronologically into three phases, namely, ascending phase (A), plateau phase (B), and descending phase (C), through cumulative summation (CUSUM) for operative time (OT). Phases A, B, and C comprised 39, 33, and 56 cases, respectively. OT and blood loss decreased significantly from phases A to C (P <0.01), and the frequency of intraoperative bronchoscopy for target bronchus identification decreased gradually (A, 8/39; B, 4/33; C, 3/56; P = 0.06). No significant differences were observed in demographic factors, conversion, complications, hospital stay, and retrieved lymph nodes among the three phases. Surgical outcomes and techniques improved with experience and volume. CUSUMOT indicated that the learning curve of TTPS should be more than 72 cases.

Distributed GEP query optimization on grid service

In order to better solve the problem of distributed query optimization, a query optimization algorithm on gene expression programming （GEP）（QO-GEP） is presented. On the basis of QO-GEP, distributed GEP query optimization on grid service （DGEPQO-GS） is proposed which combines grid service. Simulated experiments show that with the increment of the number of query relation, query time which QO-GEP carries out query decreases apparently. Meanwhile, with the increase of the number of grid nodes, the average querying success rate of DGEPQO-GS increases significantly.
