Catalytic oxidation of toluene by manganese oxides:Effect of K^(+)doping on oxygen vacancy

Alkali metal potassium was beneficial to the electronic regulation and structural stability of transition metal ***,K ions were introduced into manganese oxides by different methods to improve the degradation efficiency of *** results of activity experiments indicated that KMnO_(4)-HT(HT:Hydrothermal method)exhibited outstanding low-temperature catalytic activity,and 90%conversion of toluene can be achieved at 243℃,which was 41℃and 43℃lower than that of KNO_(3)-HT and Mn-HT,*** largest specific surface area was observed on KMnO_(4)-HT,facilitating the adsorption of *** formation of cryptomelane structure over KMnO_(4)-HT could contribute to higher content of Mn^(3+)and lattice oxygen(Olatt),excellent low-temperature reducibility,and high oxygen mobility,which could increase the catalytic ***,two distinct degradation pathways were ***Ⅰ(KMnO_(4)-HT):toluene→benzyl→benzoic acid→carbonate→CO_(2)and H2O;PathwayⅡ(Mn-HT):toluene→benzyl alcohol→benzoic acid→phenol→maleic anhydride→CO_(2)and *** intermediates were detected on KMnO_(4)-HT,indicating its stronger oxidation capacity of toluene,which was originated from the doping of K^(+)and the interaction between *** intermediates were observed on Mn-HT,which can be attributed to the weaker oxidation ability of pure *** results indicated that the doping of K^(+)can improve the catalytic oxidation capacity of toluene,resulting in promoted degradation of intermediates during the oxidation of toluene.

Intraperitoneal injection but not oral administration of ellagic acid: A novel immunomodulator via targeting casein kinase 2 signaling pathway

Immunosuppressants currently approved for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and organ transplant rejection present diverse adverse effects that impair the life quality of patients. Therefore， the development of novel immunomodulators with high efficiency and low toxicity is essential. Ellagic acid (EA)， a natural polyphenol compound widely distributed in berries， is metabolically transformed by gut microbiome to exert systemic health benefits. Here， we identified that intraperitoneal administration of EA with no cytotoxicity， beyond its well-known oral metabolic fate， effectively decreased clinical severity and CNS inflammation/demyelination in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)， a mouse model of an autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis (MS). Interestingly， intraperitoneal EA administration at incredibly low doses (0.1 mg/kg/d) is dose-sparing with fingolimod (FTY720)， the first FDA-approved oral drug for MS. In addition， intraperitoneal EA also ameliorated the brain damage in a neuromyelitis optica (NMO) model， and significantly prevented the immune rejection of allograft skin graft. Evidence from pharmacological studies combined with RNA-seq indicate that prototype EA functions by a mechanism that involves direct inhibition of casein kinase II (CKII) to suppress the expression of IL-17 and promote the expression of Cpt1a to regulate Th17 differentiation. In conclusion， our study demonstrates that the prototype EA entering the blood circulation acts as a novel therapeutic immunomodulator for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection through the CKⅡ-mediated JAK/STAT/Cpt1a signaling pathway.

We study the above-threshold ionization(ATI)process of atoms exposed to fundamental and high-frequency lasers with arbitrary ellipticity by applying the frequency-domain *** is found that the angular-resolved ATI spectrum is sensitive to ellipticities of two lasers and emitted angles of the *** for the photon energy of the highfrequency laser more than atomic ionization potential,the width of plateau tends to a constant with increasing ellipticity of fundamental field,the dip structure disappears with increasing ellipticity of the high-frequency *** the help of the quantum channel analysis,it is shown that the angular distribution depends mainly on the ellipticity of high-frequency field in the case that its frequency is ***,one can see that the maximal and minimal energies in quantum numerical results are in good agreement with the classical *** investigation may provide theoretical support for experimental research on polarization control of ionization in elliptically polarized two-color laser fields.

Numerical study of a bi-directional in-band pumped dysprosium-doped fluoride fiber laser at 3.2μm

Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber lasers have important applications in environment monitoring,real-time sensing,and polymer *** present,achieving a high-efficiency and high-power Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber laser in the mid-infrared(mid-IR)region over 3μm is a scientific and technological ***,Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber lasers use a unidirectional pumping method,which suffers from the drawback of high thermal loading density on the fiber tips,thus limiting power *** this study,a bi-directional in-band pumping scheme,to address the limitations of output power scaling and to enhance the efficiency of the Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber laser at 3.2μm,is investigated numerically based on rate equations and propagation *** simulation results reveal that the optical‒optical efficiency of the bi-directional in-band pumped Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber laser can reach 75.1%,approaching the Stokes limit of 87.3%.The potential for further improvement of the efficiency of the Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber laser is also *** bi-directional pumping scheme offers the intrinsic advantage of mitigating the thermal load on the fiber tips,unlike unidirectional pumping,in addition to its high *** a result,it is expected to significantly scale the power output of Dy^(3+)-doped fluoride fiber lasers in the mid-IR regime.

Bifurcations and Spatiotemporal Patterns in the Diffusive Nutrient-Microorganism Model

In this paper, the diffusive nutrient-microorganism model subject to Neumann boundary conditions is considered. The Hopf bifurcations and steady state bifurcations which bifurcate from the positive constant equilibrium of the system are investigated in details. In addition, the formulae to determine the direction of Hopf and steady state bifurcations are derived. Our results show the existence of spatially homogeneous/nonhomogeneous periodic orbits and steady state solutions, which indicates the spatiotemporal dynamics of the system. Some numerical simulations are also presented to support the analytical results.

Development of RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence assay for rapid and reliable detection of human bocavirus 1

Human bocavirus(HBoV)1 is considered an important pathogen that mainly affects infants aged 6–24 months,but preventing viral transmission in resource-limited regions through rapid and affordable on-site diagnosis of individuals with early infection of HBoV1 remains somewhat ***,we present a novel faster,lower cost,reliable method for the detection of HBoV1,which integrates a recombinase polymerase amplification(RPA)assay with the CRISPR/Cas12a system,designated the RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence *** RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence system can specifically detect target gene levels as low as 0.5 copies of HBoV1 plasmid DNA per microliter within 40 min at 37℃without the need for sophisticated *** method also demonstrates excellent specificity without cross-reactivity to non-target ***,the method was appraised using 28 clinical samples,and displayed high accuracy with positive and negative predictive agreement of 90.9%and 100%,***,our proposed rapid and sensitive HBoV1 detection method,the RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence assay,shows promising potential for early on-site diagnosis of HBoV1 infection in the fields of public health and health *** established RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence assay is rapid and reliable method for human bocavirus 1 *** RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence assay can be completed within 40 min with robust specificity and sensitivity of 0.5 copies/μl.

Drug-Target Interactions Prediction Based on Signed Heterogeneous Graph Neural Networks

Drug-target interactions(DTIs) prediction plays an important role in the process of drug *** computational methods treat it as a binary prediction problem, determining whether there are connections between drugs and targets while ignoring relational types information. Considering the positive or negative effects of DTIs will facilitate the study on comprehensive mechanisms of multiple drugs on a common target, in this work, we model DTIs on signed heterogeneous networks, through categorizing interaction patterns of DTIs and additionally extracting interactions within drug pairs and target protein pairs. We propose signed heterogeneous graph neural networks(SHGNNs), further put forward an end-to-end framework for signed DTIs prediction, called SHGNN-DTI,which not only adapts to signed bipartite networks, but also could naturally incorporate auxiliary information from drug-drug interactions(DDIs) and protein-protein interactions(PPIs). For the framework, we solve the message passing and aggregation problem on signed DTI networks, and consider different training modes on the whole networks consisting of DTIs, DDIs and PPIs. Experiments are conducted on two datasets extracted from Drug Bank and related databases, under different settings of initial inputs, embedding dimensions and training modes. The prediction results show excellent performance in terms of metric indicators, and the feasibility is further verified by the case study with two drugs on breast cancer.

Integer multiple quantum image scaling based on NEQR and bicubic interpolation

As a branch of quantum image processing,quantum image scaling has been widely ***,most of the existing quantum image scaling algorithms are based on nearest-neighbor interpolation and bilinear interpolation,the quantum version of bicubic interpolation has not yet been *** this work,we present the first quantum image scaling scheme for bicubic interpolation based on the novel enhanced quantum representation(NEQR).Our scheme can realize synchronous enlargement and reduction of the image with the size of 2^(n)×2^(n) by integral ***,the image is represented by NEQR and the original image coordinates are obtained through multiple CNOT ***,16 neighborhood pixels are obtained by quantum operation circuits,and the corresponding weights of these pixels are calculated by quantum arithmetic ***,a quantum matrix operation,instead of a classical convolution operation,is used to realize the sum of convolution of these *** simulation experiments and complexity analysis,we demonstrate that our scheme achieves exponential speedup over the classical bicubic interpolation algorithm,and has better effect than the quantum version of bilinear interpolation.

Optimization of extreme ultraviolet vortex beam based on high harmonic generation

In high harmonic generation(HHG),Laguerre–Gaussian(LG) beams are used to generate extreme ultraviolet(XUV)vortices with well-defined orbital angular momentum(OAM),which have potential applications in fields such as microscopy and *** experimental study on the HHG driven by vortex and Gaussian beams is conducted in this *** is found that the intensity of vortex harmonics is positively correlated with the laser energy and gas *** structure and intensity distribution of the vortex harmonics exhibit significant dependence on the relative position between the gas jet and the laser *** ring-like structures observed in the vortex harmonics,and the interference of quantum paths provide an explanation for the distinct structural ***,by adjusting the relative position between the jet and laser focus,it is possible to discern the contributions from different quantum *** optimization of the HH vortex field is applicable to the XUV,which opens up a new way for exploiting the potential in optical spin or manipulating electrons by using the photon with tunable orbital angular momentum.

Metarelation2vec:A Metapath-Free Scalable Representation Learning Model for Heterogeneous Networks

Metapaths with specific complex semantics are critical to learning diverse semantic and structural information of heterogeneous networks(HNs)for most of the existing representation learning ***,any metapaths consisting of multiple,simple metarelations must be driven by domain *** sensitive,expensive,and limited metapaths severely reduce the flexibility and scalability of the existing models.A metapath-free,scalable representation learning model,called Metarelation2vec,is proposed for HNs with biased joint learning of all metarelations in a bid to address this ***,a metarelation-aware,biased walk strategy is first designed to obtain better training samples by using autogenerating cooperation probabilities for all metarelations rather than using expert-given ***,grouped nodes by the type,a common and shallow skip-gram model is used to separately learn structural proximity for each node ***,grouped links by the type,a novel and shallow model is used to separately learn the semantic proximity for each link ***,supervised by the cooperation probabilities of all meta-words,the biased training samples are thrown into the shallow models to jointly learn the structural and semantic information in the HNs,ensuring the accuracy and scalability of the *** experimental results on three tasks and four open datasets demonstrate the advantages of our proposed model.
