The emergence of RAG recombinase to mediate V(D)J recombination has been considered an important milestone in the evolution of adaptive immunity in jawed vertebrates. In past decades,hypotheses, including the invasion of viral or bacterial genes and the transposition of mobile elements, have been proposed to shed light on the origin and evolution of the RAG genes and V(D)J recombination.

An all-optical light–control–light functionality with the structure of a microfiber knot resonator (MKR) coated with tin disulfide (SnS_2) nanosheets is experimentally demonstrated. The evanescent light in the MKR [with a resonance Q of ～59,000 and an extinction ratio (ER) of ～26 dB] is exploited to enhance light–matter interaction by coating a two-dimensional material SnS_2 nanosheet onto it. Thanks to the enhanced light–matter interaction and the strong absorption property of SnS_2, the transmitted optical power can be tuned quasi-linearly with an external violet pump light power, where a transmitted optical power variation rate ΔT with respect to the violet light power of ～0.22 dB∕mW is obtained. In addition, the MKR structure possessing multiple resonances enables a direct experimental demonstration of the relationship between resonance properties (such as Q and ER), and the obtained ΔT variation rate with respect to the violet light power. It verifies experimentally that a higher resonance Q and a larger ER can lead to a higher ΔT variation rate. In terms of the operating speed, this device runs as fast as ～3.2 ms. This kind of all-optical light–control–light functional structure may find applications in future all-optical circuitry, handheld fiber sensors, etc.

Objective To develop an efficient method to isolate and purify the main components isoaloeresin D and aloin from Aloe vera for its industrial *** High-speed counter-current chromatography was used to isolate isoaloeresin D and aloin in a one-step separation from dried crude extract of *** biphasic solvent system composed of hexane-ethyl acetate-acetone-water(0.2:5:1.5:5) was used at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,while the lipophilic phase was selected as the mobile phase and the apparatus was rotated at 840 r/*** effluent was detected at 254 *** Isoaloeresin D(53.1 mg) and aloin(106.9 mg) were separated from the crude extract(384.7 mg) with the purities of 98.6% and 99.5%,*** HSCCC is a powerful technique for isolation and separation of chemical composition from aloe.

At present,home health care(HHC)has been accepted as an effective method for handling the healthcare problems of the *** HHC scheduling and routing problem(HHCSRP)attracts wide concentration from academia and industrial *** work proposes an HHCSRP considering several care centers,where a group of customers(i.e.,patients and the elderly)require being assigned to care ***,various kinds of services are provided by caregivers for customers in different *** considering the skill matching,customers’appointment time,and caregivers’workload balancing,this article formulates an optimization model with multiple objectives to achieve minimal service cost and minimal delay *** handle it,we then introduce a brain storm optimization method with particular multi-objective search mechanisms(MOBSO)via combining with the features of the investigated ***,we perform experiments to test the effectiveness of the designed *** comparing the MOBSO with two excellent optimizers,the results confirm that the developed method has significant superiority in addressing the considered HHCSRP.

The uniform distribution model of the surface donor states in AlGaN/GaN heterostructures has been widely used in the theoretical calculation.A common and a triple-channel AlGaN/GaN heterostructure Schottky barrier diodes have been fabricated to verify the models,but the calculation results show the uniform distribution model can not provide enough electrons to form three separate 2DEGs in the triple-channel Al GaN/GaN *** experiments indicate the uniform distribution model is not quite right,especially for the multiple-channel AlGaN/GaN ***,it is found the exponential distribution model possibly matches the actual distribution of the surface donor states better,which allows the 2DEG to form in each channel structure during the *** exponential distribution model would be helpful in the research field.

AIM:To investigate the mRNA expression of cyclooxygensae-2(COX-2)in benign and malignant ascites,and to explore the difference in COX-2 mRNA expression among different ***:A total of 36 samples were collected from the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University and divided into two experimental groups:benign ascites(n=21)and malignant ascites(n=15).Benign ascites included cirrhotic ascites(n=10)and tuberculous ascites(n=5).Malignant ascites included oophoroma(n=7),cancer of colon(n=5),cancer of the liver(n=6),gastric cancer(n=2),and bladder carcinoma(n=1).The mRNA expression of COX-2 in ascites was examined with reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)technology,and the positive rate of COX-2 mRNA was compared between different ***:The positive rate of COX-2 mRNA in malignant ascites was 42.9%(9/21),which was significantly higher than in benign ascites,6.7%(1/15),difference being significant between these two groups(χ2=4.051,P=0.044).The proportion of the positive rate in the malignant ascites was as follows:ovarian cancers57.1%(4/7),colon cancer 40.0%(2/5),liver cancer33.3%(2/6),gastric cancer 50.0%(1/2),and bladder cancer 0.00%(0/1).However,there was no significant difference in COX-2 mRNA expression among various tumors with malignant ascites(χ2=1.614,P=0.806).Among the benign ascites,COX-2 mRNA levels were different between the tuberculous ascites(0/5)and cirrhotic ascites(1/10),but there was no significant difference(P=1.000).CONCLUSION:COX-2 mRNA,detected by RT-PCR,is useful in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant ascites,which also has potential value in the clinical diagnosis of tumors.

We report an abnormal phenomenon that the source-drain current(I_(D))of AlGaN/GaN heterostructure devices decreases under visible light *** the incident light wavelength is 390 nm,the photon energy is less than the band gaps of GaN and AlGaN whereas it can causes an increase of *** on the UV light irradiation,a decrease of I_(D) can still be observed when turning on the visible *** speculate that this abnormal phenomenon is related to the surface barrier height,the unionized donor-like surface states below the surface Fermi level and the ionized donor-like surface states above the surface Fermi *** visible light,its photon energy is less than the surface barrier height of the AlGaN *** electrons bound in the donor-like surface states below the Fermi level are excited and trapped by the ionized donor-like surface states between the Fermi level and the conduction band of *** electrons trapped in ionized donor-like surface states show a long relaxation time,and the newly ionized donor-like surface states below the surface Fermi level are filled with electrons from the two-dimensional electron gas(2DEG)channel at AlGaN/GaN interface,which causes the decrease of *** the UV light,when its photon energy is larger than the surface barrier height of the AlGaN layer,electrons in the donor-like surface states below the Fermi level are excited to the conduction band and then drift into the 2DEG channel quickly,which cause the increase of ID.
