Interfacial Zn2+-solvation regulator towards reversible and stable Zn anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Ru doping triggering reconstruction of cobalt phosphide for coupling glycerol electrooxidation with seawater electrolysis

Seawater electrolysis is a promising approach for sustainable energy without relying on precious ***,the large-scale seawater electrolysis is hindered by low catalytic efficiency and severe anode corrosion caused by the harmful *** contrast to the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）and chlorin ion oxidation reaction （ClOR）,glycerol oxidation reaction （GOR） is more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable ***,a Ru doping cobalt phosphide （Ru-CoP2） is proposed as a robust bifunctional electrocatalyst for seawater electrolysis and GOR,for the concurrent productions of hydrogen and value-added *** in situ and ex situ characterization analyses demonstrated that Ru doping featured in the dynamic reconstruction process from Ru-CoP2to Ru-CoOOH,accounting for the superior GOR *** coupling GOR with hydrogen evolution was realized by employing Ru-CoP2as both anode and cathode,requiring only a low voltage of 1.43 V at 100 mA cm-2,which was 250 m V lower than that in alkaline *** work guides the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts for energy-efficient seawater electrolysis coupled with biomass resource upcycling.

Mediating role of health literacy in the relationship between social isolation and psychological distress among pre-frail older adults

Effects of ultrasonic-assisted extraction on bioactive compounds,volatile flavors and antioxidant activities of vine tea water extracts

Background:Ampelopsis grossedentata,vine tea,which is the tea alternative beverages in *** vine tea processing,a large amount of broken tea is produced,which has low commercial ***:This study investigates the influence of different extraction methods(room temperature water extraction,boiling water extraction,ultrasonic-assisted room temperature water extraction,and ultrasonic-assisted boiling water extraction,referred to as room temperature water extraction(RE),boiling water extraction(BE),ultrasonic assistance at room temperature water extraction(URE),and ultrasonic assistance in boiling water extraction(UBE))on the yield,dihydromyricetin(DMY)content,free amino acid composition,volatile aroma components,and antioxidant properties of vine tea ***:A notable influence of extraction temperature on the yield of vine tea extracts(P<0.05),with BE yielding the highest at 43.13±0.26%,higher than that of RE(34.29±0.81%).Ultrasound-assisted extraction significantly increased the DMY content of the extracts(P<0.05),whereas DMY content in the RE extracts was 59.94±1.70%,that of URE reached 66.14±2.78%.Analysis revealed 17 amino acids,with L-serine and aspartic acid being the most abundant in the extracts,nevertheless ultrasound-assisted extraction reduced total free amino acid *** chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis demonstrated an increase in the diversity and quantity of compounds in the vine tea water extracts obtained through ultrasonic-assisted ***,69 and 68 volatile compounds were found in URE and UBE extracts,which were higher than the number found in RE and BE *** vitro,antioxidant activity assessments revealed varying antioxidant capacities among different extraction methods,with RE exhibiting the highest DPPH scavenging rate,URE leading in ABTS•+free radical scavenging,and BE demonstrating superior ferric ion reducing antioxidant ***:The findings suggest that extraction methods signi

Effect of AlCoCrFeNi High-Entropy Alloy on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Al-Si-Cu Alloy

A novel zinc porphyrin, {[ZnTCPP（EtOH）][Zn（en）]2},（EtOH）2, （1）（TCPP=meso-tetra（4-carboxyphenyl）- porphyrin; EtOH=ethanol; en=ethylenediamine） was obtained via a hydrothermal reaction and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes in the space group C2/c of the monoclinie system with eight formula units in a cell： a=32.465（4） A, b=10.527（3） A, c=31.845（3） A,β=95.524（6）°, V=10832（4） A3, C58H57NsOaIZn3, Mr= 1238.23, Dc= 1.518 g/cm3, S=1.005, μ（Mo Kα）= 1.388 mm-1, F（000）=5112, R=0.0650 and wR=0.1574. Complex 1 features a novel 2-D layered motif. The spectral data of UV-vis, FT-IR and fluorescence are reported.

Identification of the primary motor area by three-dimensional reconstruction of the corticospinal tract using diffusion tensor imaging

Functional MRI （fMRI） is widely used as a non-invasive method for the evaluation of pre-operation motor ***,patients with cortical function impairment,such as those with hemiparesis,can rarely achieve hand clenching,a typical fMRI task for central sulcus identification,and the method is also of limited use in uncooperative ***,it is important to develop a new method for identifying primary motor areas （PMA） in such *** study used corticospinal tractography to identify the PMA in 20 patients with deep-seated brain *** regions of interest were set within the brainstem for corticospinal tract （CST） fiber tracking：one at the level of the pons and the other at the level of the cerebral *** CST fiber tracking results and fMRI activation signals were merged with three-dimensional anatomic MRI *** consistency of identifying the PMA by CST and fMRI was *** activation signals were distributed mainly in the contralateral central sulcus around the omega-shaped hand *** CST consistently propagated from the pons and cerebral peduncle to the suspected PMA *** was a good correlation between CST fiber tracking results and fMRI activation signals in terms of their abilities to identify the *** differences between fMRI and CST fiber tracking findings may result from our functional task,which consisted only of hand *** results indicate that diffusion tensor imaging is a useful brain mapping technique for identifying the PMA in paralyzed patients and uncooperative children.

Shape-dependent hydrogen generation performance of Pt Pd bimetallic co-catalyst coupled with C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst

The shape-dependent performance of metal cocatalysts in photocatalysis has been one of the research focal points in recent *** this study,Pt Pd/C_(3)N_(4)hybrid structures were constructed to reveal the effect of the shape of the Pt Pd bimetallic co-catalyst on the performance of photocatalytic hydrogen *** Pd nanocubes(NCs)and nanotetrahedrons(NTs)were sequentially deposited in situ on the surface of C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets,establishing a strong contact interface to ensure the smooth transfer of photoinduced ***-visible(UV-Vis)diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and photoelectrochemical experiments revealed that the Pt Pd NCs/C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst had comparable light absorption ability and equivalent carrier separation and transfer efficiency in comparison with the Pt Pd NTs/C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst,which excluded the influence of these factors on shape-dependent *** photocatalytic hydrogen generation results indicate that the hydrogen generation rate of the Pt Pd NCs/C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst is 1.33 times higher than that of the Pt Pd NTs/C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst,demonstrating that the cubic Pt Pd bimetallic co-catalyst is more conducive to hydrogen generation compared to the tetrahedral Pt Pd bimetallic co-catalyst.

Synthesis of CeO2 nanosheets with a room temperature ionic liquid assisted method

CeO2 nanosheets were directly synthesized by a precipitation process with the aid of 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium ionic liquids at room temperature. The anion species and the concentration of the room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) have a great influence on the morphology of the resulting products. The as-prepared CeO2 is irregular and agglomerated seriously in the absence of RTILs, while it changes from nanocube to nanosheet with increasing the RTIL concentration or decreasing the polarity and hydrophilicity in the orders [Bmim] Cl > [Bmim] Br > [Bmim] BF4 > [Bmim] PF6. The CeO2 nanocubes have relatively uniform grain size distribution with size of 4.5-6.4 nm, and the nanosheets are assembled by a great deal of nanocrystalline whose length and width extend to hundreds of nanometers. The as-synthesized CeO2 exhibits an excellent removal capacity for the organic pollutant Congo red dye, indicating its potential use in practical wastewater treatment.
