Background:Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common cancers in ***,detailed clinical characteristics and survival information are *** study aimed to investigate the potential epidemiological and clinical risk factors affecting the survival of CRC patients in southern ***:Patients with primary CRC between 1994 and 2019 at the First and the Sixth Affiliated Hospitals of Sun Yat-sen University(guangzhou,china)were *** characteristics and survival outcomes were collected from medical *** Kaplan–Meier method was used to estimate overall survival(OS)and progression-free survival(PFS),and Cox’s proportional-hazards regression model was used to estimate hazard ratios and 95%confidence ***:Of all 13,328 patients,60.1%were men;the mean age was 61.3 years;53.5%had colon *** all patients,1,864(14.0%)were diagnosed with stage IV *** 3-and 5-year OS rates were 79.90%and 71.50%,respectively,whereas the 3-and 5-year PFS rates were 70.30%and 63.90%,*** median OS and PFS times were 189 and 149 months,*** 13,328 patients,428(14.0%)patients with poor/undifferentiated cancer suffered *** patients with stageⅢand stageⅣdiseases,the median PFS times of the patients who received chemotherapy were significantly longer than those in patients who had not received chemotherapy(stageⅢ:147 vs 62 months,P<0.001;stageⅣ:14 vs 9.5 months,P<0.001).Conclusions:This retrospective cohort study illustrates the current status of the clinical characteristics of patients with CRC in southern ***,age,family history,location of cancer occurrence,differentiation status,T status,N status,M status,clinical stage,operation,and surgical margin are independent factors associated with the OS of CRC patients.

Thermodynamic behaviors of Cu in interaction with chlorine, sulfur, phosphorus and minerals during sewage sludge co-incineration

Thermodynamic equilibrium calculations were performed to reveal effects of interactions among Cl, S, P and other minerals on Cu migration. Our results showed that HCl（g）, SO2（g） and （P2O5）2（g） were released from the sewage sludge co-incineration. Cl was found to weaken adsorption of Cu by Al2O3, CaO and Fe2O3, while S de- layed reactions of Fe2O3 and Al2O3 with Cu, with P having no effect on reactions between the minerals and Cu. Among the coupled systems ofCl, S and P, the co-existences of Cl and S, and Cl, S and P were determined to inhibit Cu volatilization, and the co-existence of Cl and P had an enhancing effect Cu migration was affected only by S in the S and P system. With the SiO2, CaO and Al2O3 system, both Cl alone and Cl and P led to failed reactions be- tween the minerals and Cu. In the systems of S, S and Cl, S and P, and S, Cl and P, the migration behavior of Cu was mainly affected by S at low temperatures and by Cl at high temperatures, whereas P had no effect on Cu mi- gration during the entire nrocess.

Patterned silver nanowire(AgNW)networks have been widely used as transparent electrodes in many optoelectrical ***,obvious patterning visibility and poor thermostability of AgNW are still limiting its practical ***,we report self-assembled monolayer(SAM)modulated Plateau-Rayleigh instability(PRI)of AgNW,which allows invisible patterning and superior stability of the AgNW *** opposite effects of different SAMs on the PRI are identified:the alkanethiol SAMs activate surface atom diffusion while the mercaptobenzoheterocyclic(MBH)SAMs suppress the *** degradation temperature of the AgNWs can be therefore,for the first time,tuned in the range of 193-381℃,so that the AgNW network can be patterned via PRI with a tiny optical difference between the insulative and conductive regions,i.e.,patterning ***,the MBH SAMs provide AgNW with excellent durability under thermal annealing and oxidation,which enhances the maximum heating temperature of the AgNW transparent heater by over 120℃.Beyond the micro-patterning,we consider that the developed SAM strategy can be extended to other metal nanowires for stability improvement and has huge potential in nanoengineering of one-dimensional metal materials.

Effect of the degree of milling on the physicochemical properties,pasting properties and in vitro digestibility of Simiao rice

Simiao rice is a variety of long-grain Indica rice popular in South ***,researches on the milling technology of Simiao rice are *** effect of different degrees of milling(DOMs)of Simiao rice(0-12%)were evaluated in terms of the physicochemical properties and in vitro starch digestibility of the *** results showed that,as the DOM increased from 0 to 12%,the head rice yield(HRY)and the content of protein,lipid,dietary fiber,vitamin B1,vitamin E and niacin nonlinearly decreased,while the content of total starch and amylose and paste viscosity parameters nonlinearly *** differences in chemical constituents between the brown and milled Simiao rice with different DOMs lead to the variation in their pasting properties and in vitro *** of lower content of slowly digestible starch(SDS)and resistant starch(RS),milled Simiao rice exhibited greater digestibility and a higher estimated glycaemic index(EGI).The EGI of Simiao rice ranged from 77.98 to 85.55,and remained almost constant(approximately 84)when the DOM was above 4%.Correlation analysis indicated that the EGI had strong negative correlations with lipid,protein,dietary fiber and RS,but a positive correlation with *** results provide theoretical guidance for the production of Simiao rice with desired physicochemical properties and digestibility by adjusting the DOM.

Selective upgrading of C=O bonds to afford carboxylic acid is significant for the petrochemical industry and biomass *** we declared the efficient electrooxidation of biomass-derived aldehydes family over NiV-layered double hydroxides(LDHs) thin *** studies confirmed the hydroxyl active intermediate(-OH*) generated on the surface of NiV-LDHs films by employing electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and the electron paramagnetic resonance *** using advanced techniques,e.g.,extended X-ray absorption fine structure and high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy,NiV-LDHs films with 2.6 nm could expose larger specific surface *** benzaldehyde as a model,high current density of 200 mA cm^(-2)at 1.8 V ***,81.1% conversion,77.6% yield of benzoic acid and 90.8% Faradaic efficiency were reached,which was superior to most of previous *** DFT analysis was well matched with experimental findings and documented that NiV-LDHs had high adsorption capacity for the aldehydes to suppress the side reaction,and the aldehydes were oxidized by the electrophilic hydroxyl radicals formed on *** findings offer a universal strategy for the robust upgrading of diverse biomass-derived platform chemicals.

Flexible rechargeable Ni//Zn battery based on self-supported NiCo_2O_4 nanosheets with high power density and good cycling stability

The overall electrochemical performances of Ni-Zn batteries are still far from satisfactory, specifically for rate performance and cycling stability Herein, we demonstrated a high-performance flexible Ni//Zn battery with outstanding durability and high power density based on selfsupported NiCo_2 O_4 nanosheets as cathode and Zn nanosheets as anode. This Ni//Zn battery is able to deliver a remarkable capacity of183.1 mAh g^(-1) and a good cycling performance(82.7% capacity retention after 3500 cycles). More importantly, this battery achieves an admirable power density of 49.0 kW kg^(-1) and energy density of 303.8 Wh kg^(-1), substantially higher than most recently reported batteries. With such excellent electrochemical performance, this battery will have great potential as an ultrafast power source in practical application.

Background Characteristics of Atmospheric CO2 and the Potential Source Regions in the Pearl River Delta Region of china

Mole fractions of atmospheric CO2(XCO2)have been continuously measured from October 2014 to March 2016 at the guangzhou Panyu Atmospheric Composition Site(23.00°N,113.21°E;140 m MSL)in the Pearl River Delta(PRD)region using a cavity ring-down *** 66.63%,19.28%,and 14.09%of the observed values were filtered as background,pollutant source,and sink due to biospheric uptake,respectively,by applying a robust local regression *** corresponding mean values were 424.12±10.12 ppm(×10-6 mol mol-1),447.83±13.63 ppm,and 408.83±7.75 *** background XCO2 levels were highest in spring and winter,moderate in autumn,and lowest in *** diurnal XCO2 was at a minimum from 1400-1600 LST(Local Standard Time)and a maximum at 0500 LST the next *** increase of XCO2 in spring and summer was mainly associated with polluted air masses from south coastal Vietnam,the South china Sea,and the southeast Pearl River *** the exception of summer,airflow primarily from marine regions southeast of Taiwan that passed over the Pearl River Estuary had a greater impact on XCO2,suggesting an important potential source region.

Nitrous acid(HONO)is an important source of hydrogen oxides(HOx),which affects air quality,the atmospheric oxidation capacity,and human ***,we present ambient measurements of the HONO concentrations in Zhuhai,a coastal city in Southern china,from February 7 to March 15,*** campaign was classified into two periods during(P1)and after(P2)the Spring Festival *** average HONO mixing ratio during P2(1.19±0.85 ppbv)was much higher than that during P1(0.24±0.18 ppbv),likely due to the contribution of homogeneous HONO *** nighttime,the heterogeneous conversion rate during P2(0.0089/hr)was considerably higher than that during P1(0.0057/hr),suggesting a higher heterogeneous NO_(2) conversion ***,the heterogeneous NO_(2) conversion was the dominant way during P1 with a high percentage of 88%,while comparable ratios of heterogeneous and homogeneous formation were found(54%vs.46%)during P2,indicating that the homogeneous formation was also important during *** daytime,homogeneous reaction was the major known pathway,with a contribution of 16%during P1 and 27%during P2,leaving large unknown HONO sources which reasonably correlated with the photo-enhanced NO_(2) *** case scenarios were additionally explored,showing that there might be a primary emission source during one scenario(February 17-18)and vehicle emissions might be the major unknown HONO source for another scenario(March 3–5).The results suggest that large unknown daytime sources still exist which need more future ambient and laboratory studies.

CD28 serves as a co-stimulator for T-cell activation and survival,and is expressed on all naive T cells in newborns.1 However,as T cells experience antigenmediated activation and differentiation,they gradually lose CD28 expression.2 The age-related increase of CD28−T cells in human peripheral blood means that immune function declines in the elderly.1 Among the populations of CD28-T cells,CD8+CD28-T cells show the greatest age-related increase.1 These cells,which were first described in aged humans,exhibit weak immuneresponsiveness and shortened telomeres and are often considered to exhibit ageassociated replicative senescence.
