Association of Polymorphisms of Leptin Gene with Body Weight and Body Sizes Indexes in Chinese Indigeno.s Cattle

PCR-SSCP was used to analyze the polymorphism of leptin gene in 539 samples of six cattle breeds, namely Nanyang （NY）, Qinchuan （QC）, Jiaxianred （JXR）, Xizhen （XZ）, Luxi （LX）, and Holstein cow （HOL） breeds. PCR products with a 330 bp were amplified and sequenced. The results showed that the frequencies of alleles A/B of NY, QC, JXR, XZ, LX, and HOL breeds were 0.558/0.442, 0.492/0.508, 0.571/0.429, 0.658/0.342, 0.591/0.409, and 0.615/0.385, respectively. The association of variations of leptin gene with growth traits in NY, QC, JXR breeds was analyzed. Some indexes of the individuals with geno.ype BB were higher than that with geno.ype AA and AB in NY breed, such as the indexes of body length, heart length, body weight, hucklebone width, body height, and average day gain. The height at hip cross of the individuals with geno.ype BB was higher than that of those with geno.ype AA and AB in QC breed （P 〈 0.05）. So leptin gene may be one of the candidate genes for growth traits with height at hip cross, but no. for body weight, heart length, and body length trait. However, the height at hip cross and hucklebone width of the individuals with geno.ype AB and BB were higher than that of those with geno.ype AA in JXR breed （P 〈 0.05）, but the difference was no. statistically significant in body weight and body sizes （body height, body length, and heart length）. And the polymorphisms in leptin gene were caused by G→T transversion at the 66th bp position, A→C transversion at the 67th bp position and G→T transversion at the 299th bp position. These results may be applied to marker-assisted selection of Chinese cattle breeds.

Multiple kernel clustering is an unsupervised data analysis method that has been used in various scenarios where data is easy to be collected but hard to be ***,multiple kernel clustering for incomplete data is a critical yet challenging *** the existing absent multiple kernel clustering methods have achieved remarkable performance on this task,they may fail when data has a high value-missing rate,and they may easily fall into a local *** address these problems,in this paper,we propose an absent multiple kernel clustering(AMKC)method on incomplete *** AMKC method rst clusters the initialized incomplete ***,it constructs a new multiple-kernel-based data space,referred to as K-space,from multiple sources to learn kernel combination ***,it seamlessly integrates an incomplete-kernel-imputation objective,a multiple-kernel-learning objective,and a kernel-clustering objective in order to achieve absent multiple kernel *** three stages in this process are carried out simultaneously until the convergence condition is *** on six datasets with various characteristics demonstrate that the kernel imputation and clustering performance of the proposed method is signicantly better than state-of-the-art ***,the proposed method gains fast convergence speed.

Fungal diversity no.es is one of the important journal series of fungal taxono.y that provide detailed descriptions and illustrations of new fungal taxa,as well as providing new information of fungal taxa *** article is the 11th contribution to the fungal diversity no.es series,in which 126 taxa distributed in two phyla,six classes,24 orders and 55 families are described and *** in this study were mainly collected from Italy by Erio Camporesi and also collected from China,India and Thailand,as well as in some other European,no.th American and South American *** described in the present study include two new families,12 new genera,82 new species,five new combinations and 25 new records on new hosts and new geographical distributions as well as sexual-asexual *** two new families are Eriomycetaceae(Dothideomycetes,family incertae sedis)and Fasciatisporaceae(Xylariales,Sordariomycetes).The twelve new genera comprise Bhagirathimyces(Phaeosphaeriaceae),Camporesiomyces(Tubeufiaceae),Eriocamporesia(Cryphonectriaceae),Eriomyces(Eriomycetaceae),Neomono.ictys(Pleurotheciaceae),Paraloratospora(Phaeosphaeriaceae),Paramono.ictys(Parabambusicolaceae),Pseudoconlarium(Diaporthomycetidae,genus incertae sedis),Pseudomurilentithecium(Lentitheciaceae),Setoapiospora(Muyocopronaceae),Srinivasano.yces(Vibrisseaceae)and Xeno.nthostomella(Xylariales,genera incertae sedis).The 82 new species comprise Acremonium chiangraiense,Adustochaete nivea,Angustimassarina camporesii,Bhagirathimyces himalayensis,Brunneoclavispora camporesii,Camarosporidiella camporesii,Camporesiomyces mali,Camposporium appendiculatum,Camposporium multiseptatum,Camposporium septatum,Canalisporium aquaticium,Clono.tachys eriocamporesiana,Clono.tachys eriocamporesii,Colletotrichum hederiicola,Coniochaeta vineae,Conioscypha verrucosa,Cortinarius ainsworthii,Cortinarius aurae,Cortinarius britannicus,Cortinarius heatherae,Cortinarius scoticus,Cortinarius subsaniosus,Cytospora fusispor
