The DNA damage response helps to maintain genome integrity,suppress tumorigenesis,and mediate the effects of radiotherapy and *** previous studies have shown that Smad1 is upregulated and activated by Atm in DNA damage response,which can further bind to p53 and promote p53 *** report another aspect of the interplay between p53 and *** of rectal tumor against paired paraneoplastic specimens and analysis of>500 colorectal tumors revealed that Smad1 was upregulated in tumor samples,which was attributable to p53 *** MEFs as a model,we found that knockdown of the elevated Smad1 in p532/2 MEFs promoted cell proliferation,E1A/Ras-induced cell transformation,and *** studies suggest that elevated Smad1 and momentary activation inhibit cell proliferation by upregulating p57Kip2 and enhancing Atm–Chk2 ***,elevated Smad1 appears to have a negative effect on chemotherapy,as colorectal tumors,primary cancer cells,and cell lines with Smad1 knockdown all showed an increase in chemosensitivity,which could be attributable to elevated *** findings underscore the significance of Smad1–p53 interaction in tumor suppression and reveal an unexpected role for Smad1 in chemoresistance of colorectal cancers.

Exploring alternative biomedical use of traditional drugs in different disease models is highly important as it can reduce the cost of drug development and overcome several critical issues of traditional chemodrugs such as low chemotherapeutic efficiency,severe side effect,and drug ***(DSF),a clinically approved alcohol-aversion drug,was recently demonstrated tofeature tumor-growth suppression effect along with the co-administration of Cu^(2+)species,but direct Cu^(2+)administration mode might cause severe toxicity originating from low Cu^(2+)accumulation into the tumor and nonspecific Cu^(2+)distribution-induced *** on the intriguing drug-delivery performance of nanoscale metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),we herein construct HKUST nMOFs as the Cu^(2+)self-supplying nanocarriers for efficient delivery of the D SF *** mildly acidic condition of tumor microenvironment initially triggered the release of Cu ions from HKUST nMOFs,which further reacted with the encapsulated DSF toform toxic Cu(DDTC)2(activation)for tumor ***,during the Cu(DDTC)2 complexation,Cu^(+)species were formed concomitantly,triggering the intratumoral nanocatalytic therapy for the generation of reactive oxygen species to synergistically destroying the tumor cells/*** a result,synergetic tumor-responsive chemotherapy and nanocatalytic therapy are enabled by DSF@HKU ST nanodrugs,as demonstrated by the dominant anticancer efficacy with satisfied biocompatibility both in vitro and in *** present work offers a sophisticated strategy for tumor-responsive nontoxic-to-toxic therapeutic with high biocompatibility.

Weathering products of silicate rocks are particularly useful for evaluating the continental chemical weathering on the Earth's surface and its *** mineralogy and major-element geochemistry of surface sediment samples collected in major rivers of Malay Peninsula and North Borneo in the tropical Southeast Asian region are used to study the present chemical weathering process and its controlling factors of tropical *** results indicate that the clay mineral assemblage in Malay Peninsula consists dominantly of kaolinite(average 80%) and minor illite(average 17%),almost without chlorite and smectite,whereas in North Borneo it consists mainly of illite and chlorite,with minor amounts of kaolinite(average 14%) and no *** contents of illite and chlorite in both Northwest and Northeast Borneo are 84% and 87%,***-element geochemical results of both bulk and clay-fraction sediments show intensive chemical weathering degree for both ***,the chemical weathering degree is gradually strengthened from Northeast Borneo,Northwest Borneo,to Malay Peninsula,and it is extremely intensive in Malay *** results indicate that,in the tropical Southeast Asian region exampled by Malay Peninsula and Borneo,climatic condition of tropical warm temperature and East Asian monsoon rainfall is the first-order controlling factor on the chemical weathering,resulting in intensive chemical weathering throughout tropical areas,and tectonic activity and lithology of parent rocks are subordinate factors,which still have an important impact on the weathering products,forming completely different clay mineral assemblages between Malay Peninsula and Borneo.

We experimentally demonstrate N2^＋ lasing actions at the wavelengths of 353.3, 353.8, and 354.9 nm using a circularly polarized femtosecond laser. The three laser lines correspond to the B2∑u^＋（v＇ = 5, 4, 3） → X2∑g^＋（v = 4, 3, 2） transitions, respectively. Particularly, we reveal the pressure-dependent gain dynamics of these lasing actions from highly excited vibrational states with a pump-probe scheme. Our experimental results confirm that electron eollisional excitation plays an important role in the establishment of a population inversion of N2^＋ lasing at these wavelengths.

The Noether conserved quantities and the Lie point symmetries for difference nonholonomic Hamiltonian systems in irregular lattices are studied. The generalized Hamiltonian equations of the systems are given on the basis of the transformation operators in the space of discrete Hamiltonians. The Lie transformations acting on the lattice, as well as the equations and the determining equations of the Lie symmetries are obtained for the nonholonomic Hamiltonian systems. The discrete analogue of the Noether conserved quantity is constructed by using the Lie point symmetries. An example is discussed to illustrate the results.

In-situ discrimination of the water cluster size distribution in aqueous solution by ToF-SIMS

Distributed network technology is a new application of inertial navigation technology.A distributed multi-source navigation system,constituted of a distributed inertial navigation system and a multi-senor configuration,can greatly enhance aircraft survival and *** to design a distributed inertial/star sensor/satellite integrated navigation system,this paper studies the structure of the distributed inertial *** to the main node of the inertial measurement unit（IMU）,this paper presents an error online calibration method for the integrated navigation *** establishes the measurement error model of inertial sensor error,including installation error,scale factor error,and random constant error,and designs a 27-dimensional Kalman filter model,including gyroscope and accelerometer error status ***,it designs a model of the distributed error calibration for IMU at *** simulation results show that the proposed online calibration model can effectively calculate the error parameters of the distributed IMU system,effectively enhancing the performance of the integrated navigation system.
