Bloch surface waves（BSWs） are excited in one-dimensional photonic crystals（Ph Cs） terminated by a graphene monolayer under the Kretschmann configuration. The field distribution and reflectance spectra are numerically calculated by the transverse magnetic method under transfer-matrix polarization, while the sensitivity is analyzed and compared with those of the surface plasmon resonance sensing method. It is found that the intensity of magnetic field is considerably enhanced in the region of the terminated layer of the multilayer stacks, and that BSW resonance appears only in the interface of the graphene and solution. Influences of the graphene layers and the thickness of a unit cell in Ph Cs on the reflectance are studied as well. In particular, by analyzing the performance of BSW sensors with the graphene monolayer,the wavelength sensitivity of the proposed sensor is 1040 nm/RIU whereas the angular sensitivity is 25.1°/RIU. In addition,the maximum of figure of merit can reach as high as 3000 RIU^-1. Thus, by integrating graphene in a simple Kretschmann structure, one can obtain an enhancement of the light–graphene interaction, which is prospective for creating label-free,low-cost and high-sensitivity optical biosensors.

A tunable perfect absorber composed of hexagonal-arranged aluminum nano-disk array embedded in the vanadium dioxide(VO_2) film is proposed. The aim is to achieve the tunability of resonance absorption peak in the visible and near-infrared regimes. Numerical results reveal that the absorption peak achieves a large tunability of 76.6% while VO_2 undergoes a structural transition from insulator phase to metallic phase. By optimizing the structural parameters, an average absorption of 95% is achieved from 1242 to 1815 nm at the metallic phase state. In addition, the near unity absorption can be fulfilled in a wide range of incident angle(0°–60°) and under all polarization conditions. The method and results presented here would be beneficial for the design of active optoelectronic devices.

Isooctane attracts great interest in recent years because of its promising potential as friendlyenvironmental gasoline,which is obtained by dimerization of isobutene with a hydrogenation ***,a solid acid catalyst sulfated zirconia modified by ZnO was *** oligomerization of isobutene had been investigated over ZrO_(2)-SO_(4) and ZnO(X)/ZrO_(2)-SO_(4) catalyst in order to find efficient catalysts for the production of isobutene *** presence of ZnO obviously enhanced the dimerization of isobutene and ZnO(X)/ZrO_(2)-SO_(4) exhibited the highest di-isobutene yield of 60%.Kinetic studies showed the higher trimerization-to-dimerization activation energy ratios of ZnO(X)/ZrO_(2)-SO_(4) than those of ZrO_(2)-SO_(4) from 353 to 393 *** addition,reaction rate of dimerization was higher than trimerization over ZnO(X)/ZrO_(2)-SO_(4).The high L/B ratio manifested the capability to enhance the selectivity of C8 in isobutene ***,ZnO(X)/ZrO_(2)-SO_(4) exhibited stable conversion for the dimerization of isobutene.

A secure communication mechanism is necessary in the applications of Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs), which is more vulnerable to security attacks due to the presence of multimedia data. Additionally, given the limited technological resources (in term of energy, computation, bandwidth, and storage) of sensor nodes, security and privacy policies have to be combined with energy-aware algorithms and distributed processing of multimedia contents in WMSNs. To solve these problems in this paper, an energy efficient distributed steganography scheme, which combines steganography technique with the concept of distributed computing, is proposed for secure communication in WMSNs. The simulation results show that the proposed method can achieve considerable energy efficiency while assuring the communication security simultaneously.

AIM To investigate the role of interferon regulatory factor 5(IRF5) in reversing polarization of lung macrophages during severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) in *** A mouse SAP model was established by intraperitoneal(ip) injections of 20 μg/kg body weight caerulein. Pathological changes in the lung were observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. Lung macrophages were isolated from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. The quantity and purity of lung macrophages were detectedby fluorescence-activated cell sorting and evaluated by real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). They were treated with IL-4/IRF5 specific siR NA(IRF5 siR NA) to reverse their polarization and were evaluated by detecting markers expression of M1/M2 using *** SAP associated acute lung injury(ALI) was induced successfully by ip injections of caerulein, which was confirmed by histopathology. Lung macrophages expressed high levels of IRF5 as M1 phenotype during the early acute pancreatitis stages. Reduction of IRF5 expression by IRF5 siR NA reversed the action of macrophages from M1 to M2 phenotype in vitro. The expressions of M1 markers, including IRF5(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.013 ± 0.01 vs 0.054 ± 0.047, P < 0.01), TNF-α(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.0003 ± 0.0002 vs 0.019 ± 0.018, P < 0.001), iN OS(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.0003 ± 0.0002 vs 0.026 ± 0.018, P < 0.001) and IL-12(S + IRF5 si RNA vs S + PBS, 0.000005 ± 0.00004 vs 0.024 ± 0.016, P < 0.001), were decreased. In contrast, the expressions of M2 markers, including IL-10(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.060 ± 0.055 vs 0.0230 ± 0.018, P < 0.01) and Arg-1(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.910 ± 0.788 vs 0.0036 ± 0.0025, P < 0.001), were increased. IRF5 si RNA could reverse the lung macrophage polarization more effectively than *** Treatment with IRF5 siR NA can reverse the pancreatitisinduced activation of lung macrophages from M1 phenotype to M2 phenotype in SAP associated with ALI.

The X-CoMnMgAl hydrotalcite-like precursors(X-LDHs) were first synthesized by the coprecipitation method using Cl-, CO32-, NO3- and SO42- as the corresponding guest anions, which were further used to prepare X-CoMnMgAl complex oxides(X-LDOs) through calcination. The structure and the surface morphology of the as-prepared samples were characterized by FT–IR, XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption and SEM. These as-prepared X-LDOs could act as sulfur-transfer catalysts for desulfurization. The activity of SOx adsorption and regeneration was evaluated via a self-assembled fixed-bed reactor simulating the conditions found in the fluid catalytic cracking units. These four types of sulfur-transfer catalysts with the same phase but different structure displayed the following order of desulfurization efficiency: CO3-LDO >Cl-LDO >NO3-LDO > SO4-LDO.

Driving rule extraction based on cognitive behavior analysis

In order to make full use of the driver’s long-term driving experience in the process of perception, interaction and vehicle control of road traffic information, a driving behavior rule extraction algorithm based on artificial neural network interface(ANNI) and its integration is proposed. Firstly, based on the cognitive learning theory, the cognitive driving behavior model is established, and then the cognitive driving behavior is described and analyzed. Next, based on ANNI, the model and the rule extraction algorithm(ANNI-REA) are designed to explain not only the driving behavior but also the non-sequence. Rules have high fidelity and safety during driving without discretizing continuous input variables. The experimental results on the UCI standard data set and on the self-built driving behavior data set, show that the method is about 0.4% more accurate and about 10% less complex than the common C4.5-REA, Neuro-Rule and REFNE. Further, simulation experiments verify the correctness of the extracted driving rules and the effectiveness of the extraction based on cognitive driving behavior rules. In general, the several driving rules extracted fully reflect the execution mechanism of sequential activity of driving comprehensive cognition, which is of great significance for the traffic of mixed traffic flow under the network of vehicles and future research on unmanned driving.

Report of China's innovation increase and research growth in radiation oncology

Aims： To investigate the research status of radiation oncology in China through survey of literature in international radiation oncology journals and retrospectively compare the outputs of radiation oncology articles of the three major regions of China--Mainland （ML）, Taiwan （TW） and Hong Kong （HK）. Methods： Radiation oncology journals were selected from ＂oncology＂ and ＂radiology, nuclear ＆ medical image＂ category from Science Citation Index Expand （SCIE）. Articles from the ML, TW and HK were retrieved from MEDLINE. The number of total articles, clinical trials, case reports, impact factors （IF）, institutions and articles published in each journals were conducted for quantity and quality comparisons. Results： A total 818 articles from 13 radiation oncology journals were searched, of which 427 are from ML, 259 from TW, and 132 from HK. Ninety-seven clinical trials and 5 case reports are reported in China. Accumulated IF of articles from ML （1,417.11） was much higher than that of TW （1,003.093） and HK （544.711）, while the average IF of articles from ML is the lowest. Conclusions： The total number of articles from China especially ML increased significantly in the last decade. The number of articles published from the ML has exceeded those from TW and HK. However, the quality of articles from TW and HK is better than that from ML.
